AMD Ryzen 7 3800X Review

The best 8C16T chip from AMD. But is it good enough? Back on the 7th July, AMD ushered in six Ryzen 3000-series CPUs touting the latest Zen 2 architecture and 7nm production.

We've since taken a look at the Ryzen 9 3900X, Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 5 3600X, and all offer decent performance at their respective price points. That leaves three processors untested, with the range-topping Ryzen 9 3950X yet to come, so today we're casting our reviewing eye over the Ryzen 7 3800X.

ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming X Motherboard Review

BladeX 15.6-inch 4K Portable Monitor Review

The BladeX Pro 4K portable monitor is the successor to the Gemini I reviewed earlier in the year, though under a different branding this time: Odake.
It has quite a lot in common with the previous model. Its again battery-powered, for truly mobile use. The display is still 15.6 inches, and you again get a choice of a 1080p touchscreen version and a 4K model without touchscreen capability. You still get both USB-C and HDMI input, though Mini DisplayPort has been dropped.
But this version has a sleeker design. Instead of the entire device being a half-inch thick, the display is now less than a fifth of an inch thick.

Corsair K57 RGB Wireless Review

MSI Trident A Review

The MSI Trident A, despite the big drop in asking price, still packs a hell of a punch with a 9th Gen. Intel Core i5 9400 processor, rocking 6 cores at up to 4.1GHz with a relatively small 65W TDP for, hopefully, quieter operation. Bolstering that performance is 16GB of DDR4 memory, a 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD for larger storage requirements.

Mushkin Pilot-E NVMe M.2 SSD Review

The Mushkin Pilot-E is the other SM2262EN high-performance NVMe SSD. The company started talking about the drive when ADATA and HP displayed the SX8200 Pro and EX950. Those drives have been on the market for what seems like ages now so Mushkin is a little late to the party.

The Pilot-E is the flagship NVMe product from the company. It plays an upmarket role to the Helix-L we previously tested. Both drives use Silicon Motion, Inc. controllers. The Helix-L uses the SM2263XT DRAMless controller, and the Pilot-E uses the mighty SM2262EN, the successor to the successful SM2262 that took on Samsung for consumer NVMe dominance.
