Downloading the latest Catalyst drivers from ATI gave me the latest 6.2 version, and after uninstalling the old drivers and rebooting I was underway. However I did have to go into the ATI Overclocking utility to set the GPU and Memory speed to the correct values, as initially it ran them at the default 600MHz GPU and 1500MHz Memory (DDR). Changing the clock speed took all of 10 seconds, and perhaps using the included software bundle would have defaulted to the correct settings.
