eTeknix: ASUS Prime X870-P WIFI Motherboard Review
We've been very busy these last few weeks, preparing for the launch of the AMD X870 motherboards, as there as a lot, and this is just one of around 9 reviews we're publishing just today, with more on the way! However, while many of the boards, well, actually every other one, have been tipping towards 'extreme' in one regard or another, the ASUS Prime X870-P WIFI is a breath of fresh air for those wanting something less extreme. Sure, we all might want the flagship gaming monsters, but there's the small inconvenience of having to actually pay for them.
eTeknix: ASUS ProArt X870E-Creator WIFI Motherboard Review
There are a lot of new X870 and X870E motherboards hitting the market today, and you can likely tell, as this is just one of nine reviews we've published today! However, while many of them are created quite clearly with the gaming and enthusiast overclocking consumers in mind, this one is a little bit different. The ASUS ProArt X870E-Creator WIFI gives away the answer in its name, it's built for creators. As creators ourselves, the motherboards we use in our workstations need to have more robust connectivity and storage solutions, so I'm hoping that's the case with the ProArt X870E-Creator
eTeknix: ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero Motherboard Review
The ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero, a premium ATX motherboard, continues the legacy of high-end flagship AMD models from ASUS. The ROG Crosshair series has been a favourite among extreme overclockers since its inception in 2006. While not as extravagant as the 'Extreme' variant, the Hero still boasts impressive features. With support for all the latest AM5 processors, these boards will work with AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series processors, so there's very broad support here for those wanting to get the best from their CPU of choice, be that through the motherboards broad connectivity options, overclocking, VRM
TechPowerUp: ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero Review
The ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero is the first motherboard using AMD's new X870 Ryzen 9000 chipset that we're testing. You now get support for USB4, Wi-Fi 7 and five M.2 slots, of which three are Gen 5. Our VRM testing with the Ryzen 9 9950X confirms that ASUS did a great job engineering a good cooling solution.
eTeknix: ASUS ROG Strix X870-I Gaming WIFI Motherboard Review
It's no secret that the bulk of the reviews we have today are from ASUS, with dozens of new motherboards hitting the market today, and we have boards from Gigabyte and MSI, and more on the way, seven of the reviews we're publishing today are ASUS. However, only one of them is mini-ITX, which is a shame, as it's a motherboard format that gets very little attention these days, and micro-ATX feels like it's on life support too, with significantly fewer small boards on the market than seemingly ever before.
eTeknix: ASUS TUF Gaming X870-Plus WIFI Motherboard Review
I love the big flagship motherboards with their ridiculous amounts of VRMs, heatsinks, armour, and even more armour, but honestly, when it comes to spending my own money on a motherboard I usually boil my choices down to a B-series board, or more often than not, the TUF-Series. Usually, they offer up every feature I actually need and will use, at a more affordable price too. However, with the TUF series, things are literally built to be 'TOUGH' and you get a lot of quality and stability features that make them exceptionally good motherboards.
LanOC Reviews: Asus TUF Gaming X870-Plus Wifi
sus always has a wide variety of boards and the new X870 and X870E chipsets are no different with Asus launching initially with 9 different models. I’ve got a few different Asus X870 boards on hand to check out but I’m going to start with their only TUF Gaming model, the TUF Gaming X870-Plus Wifi. I was a big TUF fan when it first launched but this is the first TUF board I’ve had in the office for years now. I liked what I saw from the TUF lineup on the GPU side when I took a look at the ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 4070 Ti SUPER earlier this year. Let’s dive into the TUF Gaming X870-Plus Wifi and see if it continues that trend.
LanOC Reviews: Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite Wifi7
Back at Computex this year AMD announced two new motherboard chipsets for their then upcoming Ryzen 9000 series of CPUs, the X870 and X870E. The new chipsets would continue using the AM5 socket but have improvements including having USB 4.0 standard as well as PCIe Gen 5 for GPUs and NVMe on all of them as well. They also improved support for higher memory speeds using AMD EXPO. With the new chipsets, it's no surprise that the big names in the industry have a whole slate of new motherboard designs to go along with it, Gigabyte included. To start things off they sent over their X870 Aorus Elite Wifi7 and I’m going to check out what it is all about today.
IgorsLAB: MSI MPG X870E Carbon WiFi Review - Stable workhorse with experience report, teardown, material test and thermal modding
I recently replaced the MSI MEG X670E Ace in my benchtable with the MSI MPG X870E Carbon WiFi because a new (old) chipset for the Ryzen 9000 feels better
LanOC Reviews: ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming Wifi
Moving along as I check out a variety of the X870 and X870E motherboards that Asus has launched today. I first took a look at the Asus TUF Gaming X870-Plus Wifi, now we move on to check out something from their ROG lineup. This board is the ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming Wifi and is the first X870E board I am testing. Being from their ROG line, the Strix X870E-E Gaming Wifi starts to die into some of Asus’s overclocking-specificfeatures without going completely off the deep end like some of their even higher-end boards like the Crosshair X870E Hero which moves past the Strix brand and into the full ROG. I’m curious to see what Asus has to offer for someone looking to go high-end, but maybe not the highest end. So let's dive in and see what the Strix X870E-E Gaming Wifi is all about!
