AMD Ryzen 3 1300X & Ryzen 3 1200 Review

As a budget CPU series, the R3 1300X and R3 1200 come in at a price point between $30 and $50 cheaper than the comparison i3 7350K. With motherboard and memory prices being equal, spending less money usually wins when the performance is close. That in itself is the age-old question. cost vs. benefit. At this point, the R3 line offers that cost competitive advantage.

Aorus X9 Review

Bigger and more powerful than the award-winning X7, but not necessarily better. Since its inception in 2014, Aorus has built an established range of high-end gaming laptops in a choice of sizes. The 13.9in X3, 15.6in X5 and 17.3in X7 all have merit, and the trio has helped put Aorus firmly on the map, but there are some users for whom high-end just doesn't cut it. Gamers in this segment tend to prefer to come out all guns blazing, and with said users in mind, Aorus is today unveiling its most powerful laptop to date, the X9.

Priced from a jaw-dropping £3,100, this beastie is designed to serve as a step-up from the X7 for anyone willing to splash out in order to go that extra yard. Considering the target audience, it's no surprise to find that Aorus has opted for a more aggressive and ostentatious chassis design, but that isn't necessarily a good thing. One of Aorus's key strengths thus far has been that its laptops tend to find an aesthetic balance between gaming and business user, but the X9 clearly leans one way.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 3DMark performance

First 3DMark benchmark results of NVIDIA's upcoming GTX 1070 Ti are starting to surface. GTX 1070 Ti 3DMark scores We have new 3DMark scores of GTX 1070 Ti, Fire Strike Extreme and Time Spy (plus 3DMark 11 Extreme, but it's not really popular these days). I took screenshots of a few. All scores below (except 1070 Ti) are mine.
