ASUS TUF X99 Sabertooth (LGA 2011-3) Motherboard Review
X99, the chipset that has brought workstation power to the consumer level, has been around with us for a few months now. In this time, motherboard manufacturers have had time to tweak and release their top of the line motherboards with the best features and settings. A little out of the gates with the trademark TUF SABERTOOTH motherboard is ASUS.Read full article @ eTeknix
That’s right, we have received our sample of the legendary TUF (The Ultimate Force) series motherboard, based on the X99 chipset. This particular model series allows ASUS to cram as much military grade inspired technology as possible into one motherboard. Covered from top to bottom in a checkered plate style cover and using only the finest capacitors in the world.

The attention to detail on the TUF series allows the users to take full control of the system in terms of cooling, allowing you to control 9 adjustable fan headers in tandem with 12 real-time temperature sensors to really choose the best fan placement. Along with the ultra durability and cooling features presented by the TUF range, ASUS along include the brand new USB 3.1 format, capable of 10Gp/s transfers.
DeepCool CAPTAIN 120 Liquid CPU Cooler Review
CPU air coolers versus AIO Liquid CPU coolers is a subject many of us have seen discussed in various forums around the internet and although it's a valid "question" it's really not very hard to answer since each solution fits specific circumstances. For example if you own a tower with very good airflow levels, plenty of space and you care not about any possible clearance issues then a large CPU air cooler should do the trick for you a lot better than a single 120/140mm AIO model would. On the other hand if you don't own a large PC case and thus you have limited airflow levels and space an AIO liquid CPU cooler regardless of size will outperform any CPU air cooler that fits. A few months back we had the 360mm CAPTAIN model by DeepCool on our test rig but since its size is not something the majority of towers in the market can accommodate today we're taking a closer look at the 120mm variant.Read full article @ NikKTech
EasyAcc 9000mAh All-weather Outdoor Power Bank Review
I like rugged outdoor style stuff, not because I go and do outdoor type stuff all the time but because they’re more resilient and more rugged and less apt to break easily. Something like a portable battery is nice have to take with you but most of them aren’t made for outdoor and all-weather use but the one I have for review today is from a company called EasyAcc. The battery is called the Power Bank PB9000TP with the 9000 standing for the battery capacity which is a large 9000mAh which should be more than enough to charge a single device numerous times or many devices once. The battery is rugged and durable and it’s dust and waterproof meaning you can take it with you camping, hiking or whatever outdoor activity and not worry about the weather but still have power when you need it. Kingston HyperX Fury 2400 MHz DDR 4 Memory Review
At stock speeds I was able to tighten up the timings quite a bit and bring the kit into the CR1 realm. This showed a nice boost in performance across the benchmarks that I performed. The system was completely stable at both the tighter timings and the overclocked frequency of 3000MHz.Read full article @ Modders-Inc
Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 Review
A top notch Windows 10-ready business convertible. The Lenovo ThinkPad Helix is an excellent convertible with a good range of ports, robust design and solid performance, and it shows a clear business focus lacking in many Windows 8.1 devices. However, with prices starting at £1,000 for the most basic configuration its features come at a premium.Read full article @ V3
Pros:
Wealth of ports; solid design and docking mechanism; good battery by laptop standards; decent performance; responsive stylus

Noctua NH-L9x65 CPU Cooler
If you have read my other reviews, you will find I am quite involved in sports, whether it be playing them or watching it on television. All sports, whether team-based or individual events, have famous rivalries between opponents. This can put friends against friends, and even form match-ups within a family. You have probably heard of many blood relations in the same sport, whether it is the Williams' sisters in tennis, Pau and Marc Gasol in basketball, and my all-time favorite, the four Staal brothers in hockey. I have always been fascinated with professional athletes who compete at the highest level, but a sibling rivalry piques my interest even more. I believe competing against or with your family members brings a little more to the table when it comes to what is at stake. Recently, an article I came across said elite athletes are more likely to be the younger siblings, while pre-elite and non-elite athletes are going to be the first-born. However, this article does say these findings presented are not complete, and further research is required to gain a better understanding of the relationship between sibling characteristics and participation in sports. Thus, while this claim does not always hold true, it does make you think of what other areas this comparison can be applied to. When I received the Noctua NH-L9x65 to review, this is the exact thought I had in mind. Built to be the smaller version of its award-winning siblings, it still has a reputation to live up to. It also claims to be more powerful than its similar sized siblings with modifications to its design. While Noctua claims this, will it actually live up to its claim? Read on to find out!Read full article @ APH Networks
OCZ Vector 180 480GB SSD Review
Shifts in tech are always enjoyable to watch unfold. It isn’t simply the progress or performance gains that are always the most interesting aspect, often we see two or more formats going head-to-head trying to win the hearts of consumers. Many will recall the infamous battle of VHS vs. Beta, though many may have forgotten about Laserdisc in the mix. This was clearly a case where the best performing format was not the popular choice. Laserdisc was head and shoulders above tape in terms of playback quality, but obviously lacked recording capabilities at a reasonable price. What many people don’t realize is that Beta also had superior picture and sound quality to VHS, and was the professional standard. VHS won out simply due to convenience and accessibility of titles. Right now we are staring at two SSD formats coming to market, with one offering clearly better performance.Read full article @ HiTech Legion
