Cooler Master V8 GTS CPU Cooler Review @ HiTech Legion
There has always been a fascination with the automobile, not only as a means of transportation but as a means of self-expression. It didn’t take long after the invention of the automobile for people to begin individualizing them, most often with more power and looks that reflected it. There has always been a certain machismo mystique surrounding these hot rods, something that just makes you step back in awe involuntarily. Even if you are not a car enthusiast, it is incredibly hard to say that the looks of a well modded don’t invoke a reaction. Tell me you could see this on your street and not have it stir something.

Kingston 10th Anniversary HyperX 16GB 2400MHz Review @ OCC
During my testing I found that while the kit ran flawlessly at its rated speed of 2400MHz, they just did not offer a whole lot of headroom above that, even when pushing 1.75v+ through them. Seeing how running a 125MHz or 166MHz strap is a bit easier on the memory controller, I swapped to the 125MHz divider and started upping the frequency up a little at a time until reaching the maximum clock speed on the HyperX modules. I left the memory sub timings alone and controlled by the board, adjusted the primary timings to 12-13-13-33, adjusted the DRAM voltage to 1.70v, started up again, and finally reached 1260.2MHz or just over 2520MHz for a 120MHz gain in clock speed. That represents about a 5% gain from just testing and tweaking. What I found was that the Kingston HyperX 10th Anniversary modules performed well even with the boosted clock speed. The low profile heat sink makes sure there are no restrictions to the CPU cooling solution used.

Gigabyte Z87X-D3G LGA1150 Motherboard Review @ OCIA.net
With Intel's 7-series chipset a little over a year old, the latest 8-series offers only a few minor improvements. There's some power savings to be had, along with more built-in ports for USB 3.0 and 6Gb/s SATA. Other than that, there's not much to distinguish from the previous 1155 socket generation. The motherboard we have for review today comes to us from Gigabyte in the form of their Z87X-D3H. They offer no less than fifteen different Z87 based chipset motherboards, everything from mini-ITX boards with onboard Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, to their top-of-the-line G1 Sniper gaming motherboards, and the D3H falls somewhere in the middle.

Radeon R9 290X Launch Date Revealed? @ TechPowerUp
At a local press gathering in Turkey, AMD revealed the launch date of its next high-end product, the Radeon R9 290X. The press NDA over the card will end on October 15, 2013, at 12:01 AM EST (Berlin time). This NDA expiry time was disclosed in the slides that AMD showed the press. There's always the possibility that the NDA expiry date doesn't match market availability. It could merely mark NDA expiry for the press to post reviews of their AMD reference-design R9 290X (the only kind of R9 290X that will be initially available). AMD is handling R9 290X launch much in the same way NVIDIA handled the GTX TITAN, in that there won't be non-reference design cards in the foreseeable future, with the exception of cards with factory-fitted full-coverage water-blocks.

Dynatron R17 ? LGA2011 3U+ Server or Workstation CPU Air Cooler @ Bjorn3D
When we first took on the Dynatron coolers honestly one of the most excited I was to work with was this one and that’s because I feel a bit more at home working on a tower cooler like this as the small flat coolers you get with servers just do not seem right after working as an enthusiast for so long. The small coolers have their place and they are usually in noisy large thin blade servers but big towers like this are more akin to what you see in a desktop rig and well this one happens to be spec’d as a 3U Server or desktop workstation so its a bit more up my alley when in terms of testing and familiarity.

Dynatron is one of those companies that has been around for coming up on 20 years now as it started in 1991 and has been a major player in the cooling solution market it is just that most of you readers likely may not have heard of them as they make solutions for datacenter servers and workstation solutions. These sort of solutions tend to come in a brown box as seen below and have a simple spec meant to done one thing and that’s control thermals.

Creative Airwave Review @ Vortez
Wireless speakers are quickly becoming popular and Creative have seized the opportunity to create a portable yet powerful implementation that promises simplicity and ease of use, that is, the Creative Airwave. Available in four colours (Blue, Green, Pink, Graphite) for the standard version or in red and black for the HD version, so there is a good choice to suit most preferences. Today we have the more subtle graphite version to look at.
