When ATI initially unveiled the Radeon X800/X850 Crossfire platform we raised questions as to its timing in relation to the availability of ATI's next generation of graphics. Since Computex, its become obvious that ATI's next generation R520 product has suffered some months worth of delays, however what they didn't predict is that so too would the Crossfire platform. Now we meet with the situation that the launches of X850 Crossfire and R520 are very close, almost limiting this Crossfire performance article to a proof of concept piece.
