Apple iPhone 6s And 6s Plus Review

The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus may look just like last year's iPhones, but hardware updates and Apple's new 3D Touch feature make them feel completely new. While the new cameras and 4K video recording may get the hype, it's the 2GB of RAM that steals the show.

BitFenix Nova Case Review: Beyond the Boundaries of Budget

It is the oldest dilemma since DIY PC building began: how to manage the budget for a build. More than often however, cost cutting boils down to chassis choice since each dollar allocated for it does not improve measurable megahertz performance. Fortunately over the last few years, the case manufacturing frontier pointing towards the edges of affordability are being explored … Read more.

Cooler Master Quick Fire XTi Review

There are some gamers out there that cringe at the thought of over designed gaming peripherals and will naturally opt for a more plain/sleek aesthetic with a minimal fuss setup. Though looking at the choices, they may equally feel left in the dark in regards to contemporary features such as programmable per-key back lighting and macros. This is where the CM Quick Fire XTi locks on to.

Available with Cherry MX switches in Red, Blue or Brown that are set in a minimalistic, heavy duty body the Quick Fire XTi offers more than meets the eye, considering it is a driverless plug & play keyboard. The customisable per-key lighting uses just the red/blue LEDs to create a palette of 35 colours, on top of that, there is an on-board macro recording feature too which can be saved across 4 profiles.

Cooltek Skall Review

With the Skall, Cooltek has yet another case in its portfolio. This midi tower is available for well below 100 Euro. Nevertheless it offers good build quality and there are many interesting features and even a lot of flexibility for custom watercooling.

Install Mypaint on Ubuntu 15.10

MyPaint is a nimble, distraction-free, and easy tool for digital painters. It supports graphics tablets made by Wacom, and many similar devices. Its brush engine is versatile and configurable, and it provides useful, productive tools.

The standard brushes can emulate traditional media like charcoal, pencils, ink, or paint. But you don’t have to limit yourself to just the standard ones. It’s easy to make expressive, artful new brushes that don’t respond like anything conventional.

Fullscreen mode declutters the interface, leaving you with just your brush and your creativity. You can still reveal the tools you want, when you need them. This distraction-free approach means you can focus better on the art you make, not the tool you make it with.

Patriot Viper V560 Laser Mouse Review

When I lived in South Africa, our house had an area covered in ivy, with a little rock path leading through it. We had four dogs; one of which was a Jack Russell terrier. The other three dogs were two Labradors and a pretty aggressive Dachshund. One of the Labradors was a really big dog, but he was a teddy bear at heart, and never got mad or aggressive. The Jack Russell terrier was the interesting one I will be telling a story of today. All of these dogs were very energetic and extremely fast, so they were used for fox hunting. In our ivy field, there were mice, and our dog really enjoyed to jump around in the ivy to get rid of all her energy, while getting some hunting done at the same time. It was quite a funny sight to see this dog, as she looked both like a bunny and a fox jumping up and then straight down. Soon enough, the problem disappeared, because of how effective she was at getting rid of all the mice. In fact, sometimes, we had to deal with the dead mice when she killed them without eating them. My uncle used to have a Jack Russell terrier as well, and it killed snakes pretty frequently, since he lived on a farm. Snakes also hunt mice, and they are also extremely fast, especially a viper. Would it not be ironic to name a computer mouse a viper? Maybe just to me, since I enjoy terrible jokes. However, I think naming a computer mouse after a viper is a good idea, if the product matches the characteristics of the snake, such as its speed and accuracy. I think we can all agree speed and accuracy are great qualities to find in a computer mouse, especially if it is used for gaming. Today, we have the Patriot Viper V560 laser mouse. Read on to find out if the Viper V560 matches the characteristics of its name!

Ring Video Doorbell Review

Every once in a while a product comes along that is unique in tech world. For today’s review we will be looking at one such device – the Ring Video Doorbell. The Connected Home is the latest field where companies both proven and new are trying to establish new consumer footholds. The outside door is one frontier that has not been tapped, yet.

The Ring is a multifunctional device functioning as a standard doorbell while providing the ability to monitor outside of the home via its built in motion sensors along with a wide angle HD video camera. It can even record this video to the cloud for future reviewing.

Basically the Ring Video Doorbell functions as a security system for the entrance to one’s home or business. Using the free Ring app the user receives instant alerts when motion is detected or when someone is ringing the bell. Being Wi-Fi enabled allows users to screen visitors whether home or away. The person at the door will never know where the user is located but will realize that they have been seen. The Ring works during the day or evening using built in night vision capability.

Roccat Kova 2016 Gaming Mouse Review

A year ago, I had the opportunity to review a Roccat Tyon – my first Roccat product since I purchased one of their Pyra and Kova mice many years ago. I remember the original Kova fondly, but it wasn’t…quite there yet. I liked the ambidextrous design, price point, Lamborghini-esque styling, and simple approach to performance (an optical sensor with driver-less configuration); I wasn’t quite as impressed with the overall build quality, lack of granular customization options or lighting. Will the new Kova change my mind? Will the improved sensor, new looks, lighting, and robust construction replace my first impressions? Benchmark Reviews has the opportunity to take the new Kova (ROC-11-502) for a spin, so let’s find out.

SilverStone TD02-Slim Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Recently SilverStone blew us away by showing what the possibilities are from a design perspective with an AiO. We were so impressed that their TD02-E made our best of 2015 AiO list. While the cooler was aesthetically appealing it did leave something to be desired in the performanceequation. Today we take a look at another cooler from SilverStone, this one wholly different altogether. Designed with tighter spaces in mind, follow along as we check out the TD02-Slim and find out if SilverStone was able to pump some extra performance into a much thinner form factor.
