HTPC seems to be the in thing nowadays offering functionality, convenience and ease of use. A couple of weeks back, we looked at two high-end HTPC chassis that tried to match the look of your entertainment center. However, what’s inside the chassis counts more and today we take a look at the components that we think are suited towards building your HTPC. This article is divided into two parts with the first one looking at the motherboard, the CPU, the VGA card and the Sound Card. The next part of this article will focus on TV tuners, Optical/Hard drives as well as input devices and remote controls. Once we’re done with the hardware, we’ll take a look at the operating system and applications that you cant do without.
