Cooler Master Silencio 650 Mid Tower Case Review @ Madshrimps
Today we introduce to you the flagship of Cooler Master's Silencio range: The 650 model. We already saw the prototype at Cebit 2012 and the specification list was impressive. Cooler Master promised us an integration of a fan controller, a hot swappable bay, a selection option of the boot drive. In a typical Cooler Master design and retailing at a moderate price tag. It's predecessor, the Silenco 550 was a decent silent case, but had a few shortcomings, especially the cable management was a rough ride due to the small clearance between the motherboard tray and the side panel and a bit too small cutouts in the motherboard panel. However for a 70 euro case it was a great addition to the silent Silencio enclosure range for Cooler Master. The new Silencio 650 model, due to the extra features retails at plus minus 110 euros, time to stop the chit chat and open the box.

CES 2013 Coverage Round-up @ Techgage
Each January, the International CES attracts thousands of companies from all over the world to Las Vegas, filling up both the city’s convention center and most of its hotels. It’s no surprise, then, that with each event, a ton of products and technologies are unveiled that get us excited for the future – whether or not we can actually afford most of them.

Thankfully, this year’s CES was no different. Mobile, as usual, hogged the limelight, while desktop PCs were relegated to the background – talked about only by companies that rely on them to survive. We also saw two SoCs get announced by two industry giants, NVIDIA and Samsung, sure to make the next year for smartphones interesting. And who can ignore all of the “4K” talk?

As you may have noticed, our news section has been quite busy all week, with as much talk about the show as our fingers and brains have been able to muster. For those who weren’t able to keep up with our news all week, this article is for you; it features all of our CES-related content, aggregated to a single page. You can click on either the title or the images to view a respective article, then simply hit your browser’s back button to continue perusing.

SilverStone HE02 Review @ Vortez
The pursuit for silence is sought after by many enthusiasts and meeting different demands, manufacturers have developed product-lines to satisfy these needs. In the computer chassis category there are products designed specifically with silence in mind. Likewise, in the arena of cooling there are also products designed for those with a leaning towards low-noise solutions but in all these cases there is usually a compromise. Silent computer cases generally feature closed off panels and thus can suffer by struggling to generate adequate airflow, but for CPU coolers the compromise for silence is usually temperatures and today’s review sample seeks to find an excellent balance between the two.

Under the spotlight today is SilverStone’s newly released HE02 from the Heligon Series. HE02 is a large CPU cooler designed to be used passively inside a computer chassis. Although it doesn’t come with a cooling fan, it can entertain them, but the intention is to go without in a bid to achieve silence whilst delivering impressive temperature readings on a plethora of socket types. HE02 is even suitable for the demanding heights of Intel’s Sandy Bridge-E and this is something we will be taking a close look at today.

CES 2013 Coverage Day 2 @ OCC
Plantronics had a new headset to show off at its booth this year. The premium Gamecom Commander is a tournament-ready headset with a noise canceling mic and noise isolating ear cups. The design is based off a product that Plantronics manufactures for military use and has quite a nice fit. You have the option of dual 3.5 mm plugs or USB for connection so they can be used on both your computer and devices on the go. An amazing carry case, and Velcro customizable tags (shown on the next headset) are included for all the abuse you can provide. All that comes at a hefty cost of $299.99.
