Installation of the Chrome and Golden Orb was easy! I carefully removed the stock heat sink then use a dampened clean cloth to clean off the old thermal paste that was on the core. I cleaned the surface of both of my Orbs with alcohol as well while waiting for the CPU to dry. When the CPU was dried, I applied a very little amount of my Radio Shack heat sink compound on the core and spread them around with a clean plastic card. For optimal surface contact, make sure you use only a thin layer of thermal compound because too much will be a bottleneck between the core and the surface of heat sink.
