AOC AGON AG352UCG Curved G-SYNC Gaming Monitor Review

Arguably the hardest part when building a new PC is finding the right monitor for your needs. I mean think about it, you can decide on pretty much every hardware component (like the graphics card, CPU, mainboard, memory modules and storage) on benchmark results alone (whether by the manufacturers themselves or people like us) but when it comes to peripherals and specifically the most expensive one of them all (i think it's safe to say that's the monitor) there are many things one can take into account. So leaving out the obvious first step which is size (inches) you also need to take into account aspect ratio (16:9/16:10/21:9/32:9), panel type (VA/TN/IPS/PLS/AHVA), refresh rate (60/75/100/120/240Hz), response times (measured in milliseconds) and extra technologies used (like NVIDIA's G-SYNC and AMD's FreeSync which promise reduced screen tearing and input lag). The AGON line of gaming monitors by AOC is extremely popular among gamers all around the world and today with us we have the AG352UCG model.

AOC is one of the global top brands in the display market. High quality, first-rate service, an attractive design as well as environmentally friendly and innovative products at competitive prices are the reasons why more and more consumers and distribution partners trust in AOC. The exceptionally broad product range of computer displays has won numerous awards. AOC is a subsidiary of TPV Technology Limited, the world’s largest LCD manufacturer. AOC serves the Western European, Middle East and African markets from its headquarters in Amsterdam. The Eastern European and CIS markets are served by a local office in Prague. Through its network of local sales teams AOC works with all major IT distributors and resellers.

Comparing the Dell XPS 13 9370 versus Apple's 2018 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

Apple's 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar gets some pretty substantial improvements for 2018, with a beefier processor, faster GPU and new True Tone display. The upgrades bring the small form factor Pro on par with Dell's XPS 13, our all-time favorite Windows laptop. But which one is right for you?

In an earlier comparison of the previous generation 13-inch MacBook Pro without Touch Bar and a comparable XPS 13-inch, Apple's notebook edged out the Dell in a few key categories. The base 13-inch MacBook Pro is completely unchanged from last year, so if you're in the market for a computer in the $1300 price range, it's worth a look.

Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB Closed Loop Water Cooler Review

As part of living on my own, I have realized the importance of being able to feed yourself. Of course, I do not just mean financially purchasing it, but also being able to put together. There are multiple levels of this, as this could include reheating food in the fridge, defrosting frozen items, or starting from scratch. For myself, I actually have had a bit of experience from living with my parents about cooking for myself. Not only have I had to cook when they were out of town, but I also tried to keep cooking on a weekly basis when I was at home. Some things I have learned along the way are easy things to make, such as fried rice, pasta with a tomato-based sauce, and chicken drumsticks. However, the distance between strictly edible and delicious is large. While I know I can make items that are sufficient for self-reliance, I would never consider myself a chef or a master in the kitchen. I definitely want to learn to make better foods, but I think I still have a long way to go. Today in our kitchen hands, we have the Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB. We have seen Cooler Master all-in-one liquid coolers in the past, so what makes the ML240R RGB any good? Does it still have a lot to change in order to make it a top-notch in the CPU cooling department? In essence, is the Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB a master cooler? Let us see as we check this product out today!

Corsair K63 Wireless Gaming Keyboard and Lapboard Review

he K63 is the only Corsair keyboard offered for its "Unplug and Play" initiative that allows you to move gaming off of your physical desktop and into the living room or wherever else it might take you.

The K63 primarily uses a 2.4GHz wireless connection but it does also have Bluetooth functionality. It boasts of having only 1ms latency across this connection. It uses Cherry MX Red switches that have a very low actuation for of 45cn. These a linear with a 2mm actuation point with a total travel distance of 4mm. The Red switches are "non-clicky" keys and generally the Cherry switches that we find associated with PC gaming. The switches have full rollover and anti-ghosting, so these work quite well for gaming when you are going to have more than one switch actuated at a time.

GOODRAM IRDM PRO 480GB SATA SSD Review

We welcome a new brand into our storage review categories today as I take a look at my first GOODRAM SSD, the IRDM PRO (product link). The GOODRAM IRDM PRO is a SATA3 drive which comes in the capacity options of 240, 480, and 960 GB.

Who is GOODRAM?
GOODRAM is a brand of Wilk Elektronik which was established in 1991. So, even if you haven’t heard of them before, they aren’t new to the field of memory products. They started out as a distributor of memory products and in 1996 they became the largest distributor of memory products in Poland. Then in 2003, the company launched their GOODRAM brand for memory products. The IRDM product lineup was launched in 2017 and it is one of them which I take a look at today.

NZXT Kraken M22 CPU Cooler Review

NZXT and the Kraken series of liquid cooled CPU coolers need no introduction, as they have been in this game nearly as long as it has been played. Over the years we have seen eight variations, today's review being the ninth, in a long run of coolers for NZXT. In that time we have seen the coolers start from infancy, develop into chart-topping performers at one point, and has now moved into coolers that sort the infinity lighting head units, which dress up any rig in a way nobody else is doing. However, with all of the previous coolers in the Kraken series, much of what was going on is the same throughout the line, but not today, as NZXT is trying out something new which is interesting, to say the least.

Using a smaller AIO, being 120mm based, it is an excellent launch platform to introduce a new tactic in design. Where most of the AIO on this planet are built with the pump riding atop the cold plate, as of late, is a resurgence to try to move the pump to different locations. We have seen them built into the end of a radiator, we have seen them strapped to the fans, and we have just seen them in-line, but until now we have never seen it placed right smack in the center of the radiators fin array. NZXT locates the pump in the "dead-zone" of these radiators, which is typically covered with the fan hub. The principle is sound as it removed the head from the head unit that the pump creates, and is not somewhat actively cooled. Also using an area that the fan cannot efficiently cool in the radiator seems legit, but we will soon see how it all plays out.

Philips 328E8QJAB5 31.5in FreeSync CURVED Monitor Review

The Philips 328E8QJAB5 is a monitor that serves up a tempting design for a surprising price. The £230 cost undercuts most of its rivals – and, for that money, you still get a 31.5in curved panel with AMD FreeSync.

It’s a lot of monitor for a little cash, though, so we’re a little worried that Philips has cut too many corners to deliver the cheapest curved monitor we’ve seen for some time.

Thermaltake Core P5 TI Edition Wall Mountable Chassis Review

There is a huge amount of crazy chassis on the market these days. In fact, quite a few of those come from Thermaltake. Their new P5 Ti Edition is the latest version of their massive wall mountable display chassis series. While I have no interest in putting such a massive chassis up on my wall, I can certainly see the appeal. Fortunately, the P5 comes with feet so you can stand it on the floor, table, or where ever you desire. Phew!

Equipped with room for an ATX motherboard, huge graphics cards, and plenty of storage, the P5 ticks all the boxes for a standard ATX chassis. However, it’s designed a bit oversized to accommodate a huge water cooling radiator or additional storage, mounted parallel to the motherboard hardware. It’s certainly an interesting design, so let’s dive into the box, and take a closer look at what’s on offer.
