ComputerJobs.com is betting the farm -- or more specifically, the server farm -- on it. The Web-based recruitment agency for IT specialists has moved its site almost entirely to Windows 2000, deploying the operating system on 30 Web servers on Feb. 14 -- the first week the OS was commercially available.
Prior to making the transition to Windows 2000, the five-year-old site ran on Windows NT 4 updated with Service Pack 5.
ComputerJobs.com maintains a database of 100,000 resumes and 40,000 jobs in 19 different geographic regions throughout the United States and 20 different skills categories.
