Cooler Master MM710 Pro-Grade Mouse Review

If there’s one trend in gaming mice today, other than RGB, it’s the ultralight craze. Vendors like Finalmouse have even received the support of big league streamers like Ninja to make their case: the lighter the mouse, the more it feels like an extension of yourself, improving your aim and taking your game to the next level. Finalmouse was renowned for quickly selling out, so it didn’t take long for other companies to step in and fill the void. Enter the Cooler Master MM710 Pro-Grade Gaming Mouse. It features the iconic honeycomb design of an ultralight, a high-quality 16K DPI sensor, a lightweight Ultraweave cable, and a ridiculously low mass of 53-grams sans cable. Is this otherwise simple mouse worth $49.99 and, just as importantly, will it make you a better gamer? Join us as we find out.

Cooler Master MM710 Review

A mouse is a mouse, right? Well there have been a few mice that have come out that have had me excited, but lets be honest for the most part it has felt like everyone is just updating to the latest “in” sensor, adding RGB lighting where they can, and taking on things that can be mentioned on the box or in an online listing as a big feature. A little balance in adding just a few cool features and things are okay. But some mice get a little crazy and they end up huge and extremely heavy. Now if you were following the trends in mice you might run into people on Reddit drilling holes in their mice and doing everything they can to make their mouse lighter. Well, a few companies have been leading the lightweight market including Logitech on the wireless side, but it is finally hitting the mainstream companies including Razer which just recently brought out something. Well the mouse a lot of people have been waiting for is from Cooler Master with their MM710. They have been following the enthusiast market on the keyboard side for years so it isn’t a huge shocker that they would also do the same with their mice. The MM710 packs all of the features people are modding into their mice including the holes. Today I’m going to check out their new mouse and find out what all the excitement is about.

Ducky adds to their popular One 2 keyboard series with the 65% form factor One 2 SF. With arrow keys and more dedicated keys compared to their Mini series, and a lot of onboard controls over lighting and functionality included, it makes for an attractive little keyboard (and mouse, too).

Gears 5 Benchmarked at 8K: eats up $2499 NVIDIA TITAN RTX

Gears 5 launched recently so between a bunch of reviews on custom graphics cards (there's so many to test right now, I'm like a kid at Christmas) so it was time to pull out the 8K monitor and run it at 7680 x 4320. Gears 5 is the sixth entry into the series, starting out as an Xbox exclusive and slowly coming to the PC. The PC version of the game is always the best, especially when Microsoft offers up an optional high-resolution texture pack. This texture pack really shines at 4K, and crushes the souls of all GPUs at 8K. Attempting to power up Gears 5 at 8K had its issues, and then when actually getting it up and running it would reduce the fastest graphics cards to dust -- almost like a Thanos snap.

GIGABYTE X570 Aorus Xtreme Motherboard Review

The introduction of the X570 chipset has heralded some of the most impressive and feature-rich desktop motherboards for an AMD platform in recent times. One prime example of this is the GIGABYTE X570 Aorus Xtreme which includes an Aquantia powered 10 GbE NIC, Intels Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax wireless interface, and has support for up to three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 drives. Looking to live up to the Xtreme naming, theres a 16-phase power delivery with dual BIOS for the more extreme enthusiast, whereas users looking to create a clean looking RGB laden system will appreciate the right-angled 24-pin motherboard power input. The X570 Aorus Xtreme is also the only current motherboard to include a passively cooled chipset heatsink, with GIGABYTE looking to make its flagship model unique and to stand out from the crowd.

Integer Scaling Explored: Sharper Pixels For Retro And Modern Games

At GamesCom, both Nvidia and Intel separately introduced updated drivers that could scale resolutions on the GPU using integer scaling. Integer scaling sounds pretty self-explanatory, and it is: the selected resolution is multiplied by whole numbers to fit the screen. For example, a monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440 can be filled with a 1280x720 image by doubling the height and width of the pixels. It looks kind of blocky to use as a Windows desktop resolution, but for the right kind of game, like retro or retro-inspired titles, it gives a razor-sharp edges to the pixels that make up the image on your monitor...

Lenovo ThinkPad T495s Review

The best AMD laptop we've tested in years. AMD is on something of a hot streak. The chip company's latest Zen CPU architecture has reinvigorated the desktop space, there's genuine momentum in enterprise, 7nm Navi GPUs have brought renewed competition to PC graphics, and next-gen consoles will continue to be powered by AMD hardware.

It is a golden time for AMD fans who have patiently waited a return to form, but there is another important market segment that Team Red is struggling to crack; laptops and ultra-portables. Some might say it isn't an immediate focus for AMD, conspiracy theorists may suggest that rival Intel is preventing manufacturers from choosing competing CPUs, others may blame it on Brexit. Whatever the case, finding a genuinely competitive AMD-based laptop is easier said than done, but fear not, we reckon we've found one in the form of the Lenovo ThinkPad T495s.
