Asus N53SV Review

The Asus N53SV is a speedy 15.6-inch laptop that's definitely an all-purpose machine as it has a broad range of features and the speed to back it up. StarTech eSATA Standalone Duplicator Dock - SATDOCK22RE Review
Computing on Demand has posted a new article, 'StarTech eSATA Standalone Duplicator Dock - SATDOCK22RE

The tools in my toolbox are just as important as the IT skills I have learned over the years. After all, what good is the knowledge to accomplish something without the means to do so? That is why my arsenal of tools in my office is as important to me and my customers as is paint and a canvas to a painter.  When companies like StarTech start offering tools that can accomplish more than one task and do them all well, it not only saves me time, it reduces the amount of "crap" I have all over the place.  StarTech has already impressed me with their S354UFER, let's see if they can keep me tuned in with their SATDOCK22RE.

RunCore Pro V 120GB Solid-State Drive Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the RunCore Pro V 120GB Solid-State Drive

RunCore may not be a household name but they sure know how to make a quality SSD. We put their SandForce SF-1200 based 120GB Pro V drive through our battery of tests to see just how it fared against others we have tested. Have they managed to eke out more performance than others using the same controller? Take a look and see.

The RunCore Pro V 120 SSD is one of the few drives to come with the ability to connect to a USB port which is nice for data migration. They make it easy to do. The SATA II to USB connector just needs to be attached and fitted into the chrome piece and then the entire enclosure screws together. Performance will be severely hampered because of the limited bandwidth of USB 2.0 so nix any ideas of using it as an external USB drive ongoing - it would just be a waste of a good drive. Outside of the enclosure, the drive is very attractive. If you are into bling, the engraved brushed aluminum shell may ring your bell. As far as the SATA II performance goes, we saw greater performance than the 260MB/s read/write specifications RunCore lists in their specifications. In the ATTO benchmark, we saw closer to 275MB/s writes and 285MB/s reads. Overall, its well on par with the other SandForce drives we've tested as we anticipated as the drives push the SATA II bandwidth limits already so its nearly impossible to do any better...

TweakTown posted a review on the Sparkle SCC-750AF Gold Class 750W Power Supply

Today we are taking a look at the Sparkle Computer Corp. SCC-750AF Gold Class PSU. This 750W power supply is the smaller brother to one we reviewed back in November. It is part of the same product line, but features only 750W instead of 850W."

The primary difference is that the SCC-750AF only has four 12V rails instead of the five offered by the 850W power supply. Since the SCC-850AF scored quite well in our previous tests, read on to find out if the SCC-750AF performs just as well.

OCZ Vertex 2 120GB 3.5-inch Solid State Drive Review
ThinkComputers.org posted a review on the OCZ Vertex 2 120GB 3.5-inch Solid State Drive

OCZ has been one of the big players in the solid state drive market since the first consumer drives were available. We have seen them really push the technology to the limit over the past year, but they are also still concerned about you the customer. That is why they have released 3.5-inch versions of both their Vertex 2 and Agility 2 solid state drives. The 3.5-inch form factor means you do not need an adapter and OCZ claims this design is a lower cost per GB. Let’s take a look at this newly designed 3.5-inch version of the Vertex 2.

Corsair Hydro H70 Water Cooling Kit Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the Corsair Hydro H70 Water Cooling Kit

Although there were previous entries in the field, Corsair's Hydro Series H50 all-in-one sealed liquid cooling system was one of the first that actually worked, in the sense of being easy to install, reliable, and most importantly offering performance competitive with good air coolers while being quieter than most of them. The H50 became very popular and spurred competition from other vendors. The Corsair Hydro Series H70 improves upon the H50 design with a new pump and a much thicker radiator equipped with dual fans. It should offer significantly better performance than the H50, and Benchmark Reviews puts it to the test against a collection of air and water coolers to see how it compares.

Thermaltake Meka G1 Mechanical Keyboard Review
Neoseeker posted a review on the Thermaltake Meka G1 Mechanical Keyboard

At first glance the Thermaltake eSPORTS Meka G1 we have under the review spotlight is much ado about nothing: it looks about as basic as keyboards can get, yet is heavier than even the most basic keyboard you've probably ever used, and it has a relatively short USB cable to boot.
