BIOS Magazine posted a review on Eset NOD32 For Windows 2.7

New and more difficult-to-identify viruses and other malware threats are emerging every day, and many anti-virus solutions are not capable of matching the rate of detection. Eset's NOD32 isn't just antivirus: it's a unified anti-threat system which protects against viruses, spyware, adware, trojans, worms and phishing attacks. And better still, NOD32 effectively stops malware without impacting your productivity or system performance - something which can't be said about 'all-in-one' Internet security suites.

OCW posted an ECS N8800GTS-320MX graphics card review

The N8800GTS-320MX graphics card carries a full arsenal of NVIDIA's newest graphics utilities and features such as GigaThreadT Technology, LumenexT engine, and Quantum EffectsT Technology. The NVIDIA LumenexT engine drives the 16x anti-aliasing, 128-bit floating point HDR (high-dynamic range), fast frame rates and the highest resolutions currently supported on the market. Go ahead, bring your gaming experience up to a new level, or relax with your latest movies on HD DVD or Blu-rayT disc with NVIDIA's PureVideo HD technology.

ECS N8800GTS-320MX is something we anticipated for sometime. Today, we have seen its performance levels in comparison with the high end and mid range cards.

As we can see from the benchmarks, the results are impressive considering it a 299USD card versus the more expensive 8800GTX 768M card. In fact, in some benchmarks, we can see that this N8800GTS-320MX is definitely more worthwhile. In certain tests like high AA/AF, the performance is in between a ATi X1950Pro and X1950XTX. In our HQV test, it scored a high of 58 out of 130 points. It seems that the card's driver was not optimised for Film Cadence and Noise Reduction.

The packaging and bundle is quite simple. There are not bundled games. The package contains only the card, driver CD, the component cables for HDTV. The package only came with a leaflet with an installation guide.

When we received the card, we prepared a high powered PSU. At the end of the day, we used the 3 yrs old ANTEC true power 480W PSU to power it up. It works fine for a single card. Noise level is acceptable unless you increase it to full speed using nTune. In terms of overclocking, the card did pretty well I would say. We ran the core to 610 MHz and the GDDR3 to 1100MHz. In 3Dmark05, it registers a jump from 15019 (stock) to 16380 (oc). For 3DMark06, the jump is from 8639 to 10008. A 15% increase.

Overall, the ECS N8800GTS-320MX is probably one of the better buys if you intend to go for DX10 and performance at a fraction of the price.

DV Hardware posted a review on the ThermoHawk 200 Touchless Thermometer

The ThermoHAWK series are touchless infrared thermometers which allow you to check the temperature of almost any object. They are manufactured by Q3 Innovations, a company specialised in personal safety & monitoring devices. They seem to be pretty keen on the "HAWK" suffix as besides the ThermoHAWK series they also have the AlcoHAWK and UV HAWK series. The first ones are digital breath alcohol screeners and the latter are tools to measure the intensity of UV light.

CoolTechZone.com put up a LG enV (VX9900) Phone Review

After Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Treo and RIM, it’s time for LG to play the smartphones game with its newly announced enV (VX9900) smartphone, exclusively from Verizon Wireless. The LG enV is on its way to compete against T-Mobile’s SideKick series than dedicated smartphones for professionals even though the enV is packed with similar, if not more, features than the Treo and BlackBerry.

With the Akasa Integral fusion you have a good all rounder, not

Tweaknews.net posted a NZXT Zero Computer Case Review

The new Zero case from NZXT has a lot to recommend it. It's a cooling monster without the growls and roars you'd expect from eight case fans. It has a sleek, classic look that doesn't appear to have been inspired by an Anime episode. The Zero will hold plenty of drives and the tool-free features are well designed and executed. The aluminum and plastic construction keep the weight down without sacrificing sturdiness.

XYZ Computing has a new article out on the Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 Chassis

A version of that Zalman aluminum case has finally become available to consumers. I have no idea why it took almost a year for the product to go from its CES version (which seemed to be ready for market) to being released, but the Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 Chassis is finally here. The case has been getting as much attention for its unique design as it has for its jaw-dropping price tag, but I have been waiting almost a year to tinker with one, so let's get started.
