Asus Triton 77 Heatsink Review
FrostyTech posted Asus Triton 77 Heatsink Review

The ASUS Triton 77 heatsink is one of the latest processor thermal solutions to come from motherboard manufacturing giant ASUS. The heatsink is equipped with a Sunon MagLev 92mm vapo-bearing PWM fan which runs at a very quiet 2300RPM. Standing a moderate 125mm tall, the Triton 77 heatsink has five copper heatpipes spread across its curved array of nickel-plated aluminum fins, and weighs 505 grams. The bulk of this heatsink is elevated 55mm above the CPU socket for good component clearance.

Apevia X-Supra Mid Tower Case Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the Apevia X-Supra Mid Tower Case

Apevia has a lot of cases. A quick look at a popular online retailer shows 127 listings at the time of this writing. Most of these are economy-priced premodded mid-towers, in many different colors, some with a power supply, some without. This will be the fourth Apevia/Aspire case I have owned, and I have liked each of them. For someone wanting a decent lower-priced premodded case, you can't go wrong with one from Apevia.

VisionTek HD 3870 Review
Neoseeker has published a review of the VisionTek HD 3870

This particular HD 3870 -- the VisionTek Radeon HD 3870 -- is an all around solid product. I particularly appreciated the cooling solution on this card -- it has one of the best coolers that I have seen first-hand from many different examples of the HD 3870 family. This capable cooler led directly to good experiences in overclocking. Price wise, the HD 3870 sits competively against other HD 3870's at around the current price point of $240. Also, although unadvertised on the box, the VisionTek's default clocks are a little bit higher than some other HD 3870's, so this is a nice little bonus to the HD 3870 as well. Additional compliments to VisionTek can be given for offering a limited lifetime warranty and toll free tech support line.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 CPU Cooler Review
Futurelooks checks out the Cooler Master Hyper 212 CPU Cooler

Today we’re looking at the Hyper 212 CPU cooler; a cooler that bridges the gap between the subtle and the ostentatious. The cooler is a tower design that has multiple heat pipes running from a block on the CPU to two towers of cooling fins. These fins are then cooled by a large 120mm fan. That means this cooler is by no means subtle or small in stature, but may just turn out to be acoustically quiet.

Nexus Caterpillar ATX Quiet Case Review
Virtual-Hideout posted a review on the Nexus Caterpillar ATX Quiet Case

In the past few years we have seen the move towards quiet computing. In the early days of modding, the aim was to achieve a well-cooled system no matter what the cost, with the "cost" usually being annoyingly loud fans. No more, some have said. With the multitude of other "quiet cases" out there currently, Nexus has set out to beat them all with their Caterpillar, dubbed the "Silent System PC Case". Can this innovative case live up to the promises?

Foxconn Mars Review
OCC has published a new review of the Foxconn Mars

One area that I was especially impressed with was the ease with which a failed overclock recovered. I found myself pushing so far out of bounds that the hardware had no chance of booting. Boot to a few warning beeps, a shut down and presto, a perfect boot at the default processor and memory settings. Not once did it fail to recover. That's huge in my book. Speaking of overclocking, I was able to push the FSB threshhold 3 MHz higher than my previous best with my trusty Q6600. The other side of that is that in raw processor speed, I was able to achieve 3760MHz, which is 160MHz higher than I had been able to get stable before working with the MARS. The Gladiator BIOS is easy to navigate through with the extreme voltage limits clearly marked. As you reach a level that is considered dangerous, the color of the measurement changes from white to red to let you know you are in the high end of the voltage range.

ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 Review
TechSpot posted a review on the ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 video card

AMD has proven itself, successfully launching the Radeon HD 3870 X2 on schedule, and perhaps even more important than that, having actual products on retail shelves immediately.

The ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 is essentially two Radeon HD 3870 GPUs stuck together on the same PCB is meant to be a 'transparent' single card solution, it doesn't require a supporting motherboard. The GPUs use a PCI Express 1.1 bridge to communicate in much the same way Crossfire ATI cards would. However, because the X2 is meant to be a 'transparent' single card solution, it doesn't require a supporting motherboard, and in fact it opens the possibility for quad-Crossfire using two of these graphics cards.

Savage 2 (PC) Review
Gaming Heaven posted a review on Savage 2 for the PC

In 2003 S2 Games released a rather offbeat multiplayer game called Savage. It was unique because it contained action style elements found in first person shooter and fighting games and combined them with strategy game elements putting you in the midst of the action at ground level. Additionally a class based unit system and a high level command interface brought the team based side of the game a fresh edge. It would be fair to say however that the game mechanics and learning curve were rather difficult for new players.

Thermaltake Bigwater 760i Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the Thermaltake Bigwater 760i.

enthusiasts know that water is inherently better than air when it comes to cooling our nuclear powered rigs. This is primarily due to water's capability to hold and transport more heat than air within the same volume of space. It is this property that has long allured users to take the plunge and stick water inside their machine regardless of the dangers. It is these same dangers that have kept water cooling on the fringe of mainstream acceptance. No one wants to deal with the reality of coming home to a dead machine only to realize the cause of the untimely demise was a leak in their water cooling loop. And so company after company has sought to solve this problem and devise a system so easy, a system so fool proof that it could rival the ease of air cooling while maintaining the benefits of water cooling. Not an easy feat to be sure. Enter Thermaltake, a company dedicated to cooling since 1999. With their vast amount of experience and R&D resources they stand ready to bring water cooling to the mainstream.

Presenting the Thermaltake Bigwater 760i, an internal, all-in-one water cooling solution for the masses. It has an adjustable LED fan, easy to read reservoir, quick disconnect fittings and a whole lot more. But does it have what it takes to supplant air cooling as the choice of cooling for millions of users? I intend to find out.
