Facebook: Top 11 Applications
InsideHW.com has reviewed Top 11 Facebook Apps

Facebook’s basic idea is rather confusing for new social network users. Is that a place to communicate with your friends and family, a place to promote yourself and your company, a place to link to funny and interesting websites that you’ve found on the internet, or a place to “kill” some time by playing one of the available games with your friends? In short, Facebook is all of this and more. With over half a billion virtual “neighbours”, it’s clear that this is the biggest online community. The interesting fact, however, that sets Facebook apart from all other social networks, is the sheer number of available applications. While the simple user interface has attracted users worldwide, the simple API (Application Programming Interface) has attracted independent programmers and development teams to create Facebook applications. Owing to Facebook’s rapid expansion, this social network now contains around 600,000 applications…

ThinkComputers.org posted a review on the Zalman ZM1000-HP Plus 1000W Power Supply

The ZM1000-HP Plus features a dual heatpipe cooling system, lots of connectors, modular cables, and 80PLUS Silver certification for efficiency. See how the unit measures up in this review.

Plextor PX-B940SA 12x Blu-ray Disc Writer Review
KitGuru posted a review on the Plextor PX-B940SA 12x Blu-ray Disc Writer

Blu Ray writers are finally starting to come down in price and today we are reviewing the Plextor PX-B940SA drive. Plextor have been producing some of the finest drives on the market for the last decade and their optic quality has always been a primary selling point.

With HD-DVD resigned to the annals of history, BluRay as a platform is dominating the market.

Over the last few years Plextor have produced many great players. The PX-B940SA we are reviewing today is their first 12x BluRay drive. The technology in this unit is based around the Pioneer BDR-205 drive, but the PX-B940SA is capable of 12x BD-R, 12x BD-r DL and 2x BD-RE writing speeds with a maximum BD-ROM speed of 8x.[/quote6

IN WIN Dragon Rider Full Tower Chassis Review
TweakTown posted a review on the IN WIN Dragon Rider Full Tower Chassis

IN WIN is a company of which I have seen many cases from its lineup, and up to now, really none of them have been a case that would find a permanent home on my desk. It isn't that the cases were lacking in any department. IN WIN tends to think out internal designs and feature sets that rival some of the top tiered chassis' that require quite a bit more money to attain said features. My real issue with most of the previous cases was based purely on aesthetics. With this chassis we are about to have a look at, a new leaf has been turned in IN WIN designing, and I hope it's a trend that continues.

This chassis is not only a real looker in my book, but it offers all the things we are used to in an IN WIN chassis. Things like a tool-less assembly to hold in the expansion cards, an almost endless supply of slides for the various drives to be placed inside the chassis, and it even carries a flood of blue LED lighting that we have seen from them before. Two major things have changed. One, I finally got a full tower chassis worth its salt, and secondly, the theme of the chassis may be a bit mythological, but translates into a stellar looking chassis with everything you would want to see in a full tower chassis.[/quote6

Canon PowerShot G12 Review
TechReviewSource.com posted a review on the Canon PowerShot G12

The Canon PowerShot G12 is a standard point and shoot with a 10.4-megapixel resolution, but it has a few tricks to show. First, it has HDR and RAW shooting, 720p HD video recording and an HDMI port. It also has a pop-out LCD display and excellent photo quality compared to other similar cameras.

HIS HD 6970 Review
XSReviews have reviewed the HIS HD 6970 graphics card

Each generation of graphics cards is made up of the kind of GPUs that most people buy, the mid-range and they have the budget ones which quite a lot of others buy. Then you have the monsters, dual chip and single. Today we look at the latter one from HIS, the HD 6970. A giant card with expected impressive performance; though you know this is going to pull a lot of power. Let's see how much.

Intel Core i3-2100T and BH67CF Mini-ITX Motherboard Review
MissingRemote has released a new review on the Intel Core i3-2100T and BH67CF Mini-ITX Motherboard

In our launch coverage of Intel’s Sandy Bridge we took an in-depth tour of the platform’s capabilities. But our previous coverage was limited to a higher end member of the CPU lineup with a 95 watt TDP, that made is less ideal for dedicated home theater PC (HTPC) use--especially considering its tantalizing siblings scheduled to arrive shortly thereafter. Fortunately we now have a 35 watt Intel Core i3-2100T and DH67CF Mini-ITX motherboard in hand and will be taking a detailed look at the lowest powered desktop CPU and smallest LGA1155 motherboard Intel has to offer.

Quick Review: Patriot Memory Supersonic USB 3.0 Flash Drive
TweakTown posted a quick review on the Patriot Memory Supersonic USB 3.0 Flash Drive

Companies are starting to come out of the wood work with USB 3.0 storage products, many of which were released at CES 2011. We've been testing USB 3.0 portable storage enclosures since November 2009 when we hosted the very first USB 3.0 product review online. Since then we've seen large and small devices, but the trend is leading to smaller and more compact storage that mates us to the 5G USB 3.0 protocol.

In an effort to continue the progression of smaller, faster storage products, Patriot Memory has sourced the world's first native USB 3.0 to flash controller. By eliminating a bridge chip the new Patriot Supersonic is smaller than any other USB 3.0 thumb drive we've tested and offers less latency as well. Patriot claims the new Supersonic is able to achieve read speeds of up to 100MB/s and write speeds of up to 70MB/s. These numbers are much lower than the high end SSD based storage enclosures we've reviewed like the OCZ Technology Enyo, but the Supersonic is also much smaller and can be had at a much lower price point.

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 560 Ti AMP! Edition 1 GB Review
techPowerUp posted a review on the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 560 Ti AMP! Edition 1 GB video card

ZOTAC's GeForce GTX 560 Ti AMP! Edition is the highest-clocked GTX 560 money can buy at the moment. Its blazing clocks of 950 MHz core and 1100 MHz memory give it a 12% real-life performance advantage over the reference design, which is quite impressive for the $279 it's coming at. With additional overclocking we could reach 998 MHz, and almost broke the 1 GHz barrier!

Asus E35M1-M Pro Review: A Look at AMD's Fusion Platform
Techspot posted a review on the Asus E35M1-M Pro

AMD Fusion is the marketing name for a series of APUs (Accelerated Processing Units) that have been in development since 2006. The final design is the result of AMD's merger with ATI, combining general processor execution as well as 3D geometry processing and other functions of modern GPUs into a single chip.

AMD's ultrathin platform, code-named "Brazos", was introduced early this year as the company's fourth mobile platform targeting the ultra-portable notebook market. It features the 40nm AMD Ontario APU, a 9-watt chip for netbooks and small form factor desktops, and Zacate, an 18-watt APU for ultrathin, mainstream, and value notebooks and desktops.

The Asus E35M1-M Pro motherboard we are testing today is an implementation of the AMD Fusion/Brazos platform that packs a dual-core AMD Zacate 18W processor (formally known as the E-350 APU), DirectX 11 graphics support along with USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s, making for a relatively inexpensive bundle at $140.

Zaward Vapor 120 Review
techPowerUp posted a review on the Zaward Vapor 120

Zaward drew inspiration from the golf ball to enhance air-flow using a "heatsink breathing design", as well as heat dissipation with its Vapor 120 CPU cooler. In the process, it came up with a rather slim-looking 120 mm tower-type heatsink. Will Zaward's golf ball-inspired CPU cooler click?

Titan TTC-G20TZ Docking Station Review
OCC has published a review on the Titan TTC-G20TZ Docking Station

The Titan TTC-G20TZ has an egg-like shape with a flat, slanted front to accommodate a laptop. The rubber trim around the front mesh vent prevents the laptop from slipping while in use, and also prevents the transfer of vibrations to or from the laptop. The Titan logo on the front of the unit is a power button for the fan, which is a 92mm fan that does not have any listed specifications, such as speed or amperage. The front of the dock slants back at close to 45° in order to support the laptop. The rear of the dock is where the ports are located. The Titan dock boasts four USB2.0 ports, audio out and microphone jacks, VGA support, and 10/100 LAN.

ASUS RT-N56U Dual Band Gigabit Wireless N Router Review
TweakTown posted a review on the ASUS RT-N56U Dual Band Gigabit Wireless N Router

The home networking market is one that is booming with technology, but is quite stagnant in terms of aesthetics. If you look things over you really are getting the same shell even if you get more features or more speed from your choice of router. It has gotten so bad lately that many people are not bothering to worry about "what it looks like" anymore. For us it has become like trying to describe cereal boxes. It is very difficult to find something new with each product we test. True, sometimes you get a flashy LCD screen, or different color lights, but that is about it.

Enter the ASUS RT-N56U; this new product from ASUS is like no other networking product I have seen. In fact, at first glance you would never know it was a Gigabit, N-Spec, Dual Band wireless router with two USB 2.0 ports that can be used for networking, printing or to connect a USB HDD for network storage. It is also hard to believe that you get all of this for only $129.99 from Newegg.com. So now all we have to do is see if it performs as good as it looks. Here we go!

MSI GeForce GTX 460 1GB Hawk Review
Hardware Canucks posted a review of the MSI GeForce GTX 460 1GB Hawk

With the launch of NVIDIA's GTX 560 Ti, many thought that the GTX 460 1GB would go quietly into the night but that hasn't quite happened. This card has gained a new lease on life with a lower price point and products like MSI's Hawk Edition have continued to lead the way by offering high performance at a sub-$200 price point.

VisionTek Killer HD5770 Combo Card Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the VisionTek Killer HD5770 Combo Card

The VisionTek Killer HD5770 Combo Video Card combines a Bigfoot Networks Killer E2100 NIC and a Radeon HD5770 GPU to offer a complete gaming solution that undercuts the price of buying both seperately, also combining the network controller with the video card takes more work of your CPU's shoulders allowing it to be better utilized in other areas of your games. I'm sure you are thinking that the HD5770 is probably not the most powerful GPU out there and that VisionTek could have maybe used something with a bit more grunt but this combination of technologies takes the original VisionTek HD5770 from 7.5 inches long to 10 inches long, so it makes sense for obvious reasons. Benchmark Reviews aims to provide you with an unbiased review of the VisionTek Killer HD5770 and report back our findings, keeping you informed on the latest technologies available on the market today.

Razer have long been an advocate for stylish products that improve performance within games and general experience outside of them. Their reputation is strong within the gaming peripheral market and recently, as with quite a number of brands, we have seen Razer branch out into other departments.
