DriverHeaven posted a review on memory from Corsair, Crucial and Patriot

As our i7 launch article demonstrated there were some massive increases to be had from the new triple channel memory architecture in both theoretical and real world tests. Since the release of i7 and X58 motherboards a large number of triple channel kits have hit the market and today we have three of the more impressive versions on our test bench. Each will be put through a selection of real world tests to find out which of them is worthy of your hard earned cash.

XFX Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB video card review
Elite Bastards posted XFX Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB video card review

Unlike many of XFX's other offerings, this particular board uses both AMD's reference clock speeds and cooling solution, and as we've seen similarly specified boards from other vendors in the past this allows us to investigate a couple of additional angles for this review. Firstly, we'll be taking a look at how performance has changed between AMD's last graphics driver of 2008, Catalyst 8.12, and their first offering for this year, Catalyst 9.1 - In theory there have been some decent changes made to improve performance on multi-GPU configurations in particular, so it should be interesting to see how these latest drivers fare.

As well as looking into driver performance, we'll also be taking this opportunity to briefly discuss XFX's warranty and support offerings, a side of their products that we rarely mention but one that XFX themselves seem very proud of.

Brother MFC-790CW Printer Review
ITreviewed posted a review on the Brother MFC-790CW Printer

Brother's MFC-790CW is a solid choice for the home office or small-business user on a budget looking for one device that can do everything. It can handle any office activities you need it to do including voicemail, faxing, scanning and copying. Of course, it does have its problems. Similar to most inkjets the included ink doesn't last long (replacements cost =A315 per black ink cartridge and =A310 per coloured ink and are good for around 450 pages) and the touchscreen display is low resolution. The build quality isn't the best on the market either, nor is print quality. The standard paper tray only holds a paltry 50 pages, so you'll have to constantly feed the printer new paper for larger projects - no easy task, because you must remove the entire tray in order to change paper types or feed the machine more paper. But for the price you'll struggle to find such a well-rounded package.

Sapphire HD 4670 Ultimate Edition Review
OCC has published a new review on the Sapphire HD 4670 Ultimate Edition

The heatsink used on the Ultimate Edition HD 4670 is a passive design. This means that its sole means of discharging the thermal load, is to rely on the temperature differential between the air in the chassis and the heatsink itself. Of course better case airflow will allow the heatsink to be more effective. Sapphire has come up with creative solutions for cooling ATI based video cards over the past year with the Toxic and Atomic series of video cards. Vapor Chamber cooling and water cooling are two of the avenues they have explored successfully. But now on the Ultimate Edition, the silent heatsink uses two heatpipes attached to a copper plate to and aluminum block and fin array. As large as the heatsink is, it should prove to be effective at cooling this series of cards.

HIS Radeon HD 4870 IceQ4+ TURBO Graphics Card Review
TweakTown posted a review on the HIS Radeon HD 4870 IceQ4+ TURBO Graphics Card

Monthly driver updates from ATI still make the HD 4800 series of cards an attractive offering and today we'll look at what HIS has done with the top single GPU card from ATI. With a fancy cooler, some mean clocks and a decent looking bundle, the lengthy named HIS HD 4870 IceQ4+ TURBO could well be a card worth keeping an eye out for.

Today we'll see how the HIS HD 4870 IceQ4+ TURBO goes against its little brother, the HD 4850 and against the NVIDIA 9800 GTX+. While both cards are cheaper than the HIS offering, we want to see if it's worth spending the extra $20 - $30 buying the HD 4870 over the 9800 GTX+.

VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 X2 Redux Review
TheTechLounge posted a review on the VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 X2 Redux

Only after being bested by it could I ever hope to wield it's, Oh screw it, it's just a video card. I mean, it's the best video card and all, and definitely not for everybody. Actually, as you'll see, it's not really intended for mainstream gaming. You need a damn big display to really see this card make frames. If you're looking to spend serious dollars for the best gaming experience, you're set. If you want a video card that will no doubt last years, here you go. But if you're reading this on anything less than a 24-inch display, an HD 4870 X2 is probably overkill.

Alienware M17 Laptop Review

Today we are going to look at the Alienware M17, a laptop which slips in next to the m17x, ditching Nvidia's SLI for Crossfire and bringing quad core processing to the table on an updated platform.
