Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 TOXIC Video Card Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 TOXIC Video Card

Being an ATI only partner, it's important for Sapphire to have a large array of variations when it comes to their model line-up. Split into four categories, we have our standard reference models from them. Moving up a notch to the Vapor-X line, you get a nice upgraded cooler, but the same reference clocks.

After the Vapor-X you've got the TOXIC variants which are what we have today. They're essentially an overclocked Vapor-X model, so you get the upgraded cooler, but also an upgrade in clock speeds.

Micron RealSSD C300 256GB SATA 6Gbps SSD Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the Micron RealSSD C300 256GB SATA 6Gbps SSD

The Micron RealSSD C300 SSDs are the first SSDs in the World designed for the SATA 6 Gb/s interface. Because moving to SATA 6 Gb/s removes the bandwidth bottleneck, the 256GB drive that we are reviewing today can deliver sequential read and write speeds of up to 355 MB/s and 215 MB/s, respectively. That's much faster than drives that use the SATA 3 Gb/s interface and this could be the fastest SSD we have ever tested!

The Micron RealSSD C300 256GB SSD is an amazing SSD that has the ability to take advantage of the SATA 6 Gbps interface. When we first looked at SATA 6 Gbps performance using the Seagate XT 2TB hard drive we found the burst speed to be impressive, but found that a hard drive was able to fully use the new interface since it wasn't fast enough. We were seeing the Seagate XT 2TB hard drive have a maximum read transfer rate of 144MB/s, which is nothing to write home about these days. The Micron RealSSD C300 on the other hand was able to peak at 387MB/s in ATTO, which is insane for a single SSD. When it comes to read performance nothing on the market today can beat the Micron RealSSD C300 256GB SSD! This drive has spectacular read performance and the write performance is not too far behind other drives like the OCZ Vertex LE.

Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD6 motherboard Review
APH Networks posted a review on the Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD6 motherboard

Intel's Lynnfield based Core i5 and Core i7 processors are implemented on quite an interesting platform. Although AMD has used integrated memory controllers on their processors for years, it wasn't until recently that Intel started implementing such controllers to replace their legacy Front Side Bus design on their budget Nehalem products. But Intel did not stop there, and actually took it a step further. In addition to the integrated dual channel memory controller, Intel has also moved features such as the Direct Media Interface chip to chip link and PCI Express controller to the CPU itself. Because most of the features that formerly resided on the Northbridge are now moved onto the processor, it has practically eliminated the need for having both a Northbridge and Southbridge on the motherboard. Additionally, as the chipset now does significantly less than it did before, Intel has resolved to call the P55 chipset a Platform Controller Hub, abbreviated as PCH. The Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD6 is one such example of a motherboard designed with Intel's new budget oriented Platform Controller Hub. Combined with USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s, how does it step up in the world of being an high end P55 motherboard from the motherboard giant? (By the way, the "A" in the P55A-UD6 name, like the rest of the Gigabyte motherboard line, symbolizes that it has USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s -- its close brethren, the P55-UD6, is pretty much the same motherboard, but without USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s.) Read on to find out -- and to make things more interesting, we even got some benchmarks against the ASUS P7P55D-E Premium, another P55 high end motherboard of Gigabyte's main rival!

Seagate BlackArmor 500GB PS 110 USB 3.0 Performance Kit Review
TestFreaks posted a review on the Seagate BlackArmor 500GB PS 110 USB 3.0 Performance Kit

Today for review I've got another USB3.0 enabled product, this time it 's actually a kit from Seagate. This kit includes the new BlackArmor PS110 500gb 2.5" portable hard drive that is equipped with a 7200RPM drive inside and of course a USB 3.0 interface. The kit also includes a USB3.0 ExpressCard so you can have your laptop or netbook USB3.0 enabled. It's a nice kit overall, it includes everything you need to add USB3.0 to your computer. I reviewed the original BlackArmor PS110 last year and I figured why not compare the two to each other especially since the original BlackArmor only had a 5400RPM hard drive in it.

Sony VAIO Y Series Notebook Review
HotHardware.com posted a review on the Sony VAIO Y Series Notebook

The CULV notebook market has been overloaded with options over the past few months, and this year's Consumer Electronics Show saw even more PC makers jump in with an abundance of new offerings. Asus and Acer seemed to be at the forefront of the CULV revolution, which--for those who don't know--are machines that split the divide between low-powered netbooks and energy-draining full size laptops. Today we'll be looking at a CULV-based model from Sony, as they have taken their well respected VAIO line to the land of the Intel Consumer Ultra Low Voltage notebook platform.

The VAIO Y-Series that we're testing today is one of Sony's newest machines, and just as Lenovo ThinkPad machines wear their legacy on their sleeves, this one screams VAIO from end to end. The exact model number is VPCY115FX/BI, and it's definitely one of the most stylish ultraportables out today...

In Win Diva Case Review
Hardware Secrets posted a review on the In Win Diva Case

Without exceptions, when we think of a computer case with a unique design invariable we think of a macho-themed product, usually military-inspired. Sensing that girls were being left behind by the case manufacturers, In Win decided to release Diva, a very (very!) small case and very (very!) girly front panel, featuring a big Swarovski crystal as a power button. While straight guys will hate this case, girls (and probably er "very happy" guys) will love it. Let's see why.

ASUS MY-CINEMA PHC3-150 HDTV-Tuner Card Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the ASUS MY-CINEMA PHC3-150 HDTV-Tuner Card

The recent switch from analog to digital television was mainly driven by the benefits of digital technology over its analog predecessor. Though digital television has become ubiquitous the conversion cannot be instantaneous, nor will analog technology simply vanish. During this transitional period of converting analog infrastructures into a digital foundation, hybrid devices like the My Cinema PHC3-150 Combo TV-Tuner Card will be essential. These hybrid devices work with both signal types allowing for a smoother transition. In this article Benchmark Reviews tests the performance of the PHC3-150. Even if you've already made the transition to digital systems you may want to check out some tricks to extract even more utility from the hybrid features of this card.

PowerColor Radeon HD 5970 LCS Review
OCC has published a review on the PowerColor Radeon HD 5970 LCS

The base clock speeds on the GPU for this card come in at 750MHz. Not bad but the stock HD 5870 comes in at 850MHz, so there is work to be done to try and get the performance to that of a true dual HD 5870 setup with just a single card. When it came to overclocking the PowerColor LCS 5970 I was able to bump the speeds up from the as delivered 750MHz to 1010MHz, a 260MHz gain in clock speed. The memory clock speeds did not really show more than the air cooled reference version at 1250MHz, but still a 200MHz bump, or close to a 20% increase.
