HardwareLogic posted a review on the Lian Li PC-C30B Case
Last week, I heard that Frys.com had the Ultra Products V Series 500W Power Supplies for $40 with free shipping and a $40 rebate. This would make the power supply free after the rebate and who can pass up free? I got out the credit card and figured that I'd bring ship one to LR and play around with it for fun. Next thing I knew it was powering a dual-core gaming rig with an XFX GeForce 8800GTX!The Free After Rebate Ultra 500W Power Supply
techPowerUp posted a new review on the Danger Den Tyee GPU Waterblock
Danger Den is one of the most established players in the watercooling business. Their new Tyee GPU Waterblock has been designed specifically for the ATI Radeon X1800/X1900 Series and can cool GPU, Memory, Voltage Regulator and CrossFire Encoder Chip with just one block. Even though its installation is a bit complex, it shouldn't be a problem for more experienced users.Danger Den Tyee GPU Waterblock Review
techPowerUp posted a new review on the Verbatim Store 'n' Go Pro 2 GB USB Drive
The Verbatim Store 'n' Go PRO series is geared toward business men and women who need fast and large storage devices with the security to safeguard confidential information. The blue 2 GB variant may not look very out of the ordinary, but the inside is what counts. It certainly sounds good, with read speeds of ~24MB/s and write speeds of ~13MB/s and an included security suite.Verbatim Store 'n' Go Pro 2 GB USB Drive Review
3D Game Man posted a review on the HEC Zephyr 650W Power Supply
The HEC Zephyr 650W Power Supply is certainly not the highest wattage power supply on the market, but it will fit the bill for most people. It's all steel so it's fairly heavy and comes with ultra high-gloss reflective paint finish. There are two fans; a blue LED 120mm and an 80mm. The 80mm is only activated when the PSU exceeds 60% load. This power supply also is 80% efficient and has Active PFC. APH Networks looked at power consumption versus performance
Nowadays, there's a huge emphasis on efficiency, and power consumption versus performance -- simply due to the high cost of electricity and environmental concerns. However, in your house, what uses lots of electricity and what doesn't? Should you leave your computer on all day? Let's count in some determining factors by checking power consumption of a few common technology items today.Power Consumption Tests 2007
XtremeComputing posted a review on the Zalman VF900-CU LED VGA cooler
The Zalman VF900-CU LED has performed as it says on the tin, even at it's lowest speed it still out performs the Stock cooler by 3 - 5c, add to that at low speed it is almost in audible and you have a great cooler that works Xtremely well (excuse the pun)Zalman VF900-CU LED VGA cooler Review
Tech ARP has just added Asynclat to the BIOS Optimization Guide
We have just posted the Asynclat BIOS feature today. This brings the BIOS Optimization Guide to nearly 390 BIOS features.Asynclat added to the BIOS Optimization Guide
"Asynclat controls the amount of asynchronous latency, which depends on the time it takes for data to travel from the processor to the furthest DIMM on the motherboard and back. For your reference, AMD has a few conservative suggestions on setting this BIOS feature...
techPowerUp posted a new review on the I-Rocks IR-9300 3.5" HDD Enclosure
The I-Rocks IR-9300 Combo is a HDD enclosure with USB 2.0 and Firewire. It features completely passive use and two LEDs on either side of the enclosure. It may be a bit bulky when compared to some from Coolermaster or Akasa but does work well. The USB 2.0 connection is not very fast, but the speedy firewire option makes up for this, while reducing the CPU utilization as well.I-Rocks IR-9300 3.5" HDD Enclosure Review

XYZ Computing posted a Nokia N800 Internet Tablet Review
The N800 is actually Nokia's second generation internet tablet. The previous model, the 770, is still for sale (for $40 cheaper than the N800). The older model has a slightly larger, has a less elegant design, and lacks the N800's on-board camera as well as its second flash card expansion slot. The N800 has double the RAM and onboard storage of the 770 as well as a new processor. Both devices run the Internet Tablet operating system, which is based on Debian, though the newer model has been upgraded to the 2007 version. Aside from a few tweaks the controls on the devices are basically the same, though the N800 is overall a much more refined product. While the 770 was largely a toy for enthusiasts, the N800 seems ready for much wider adoption.Nokia N800 Internet Tablet Review
MadPenguin.org posted an article on Dell's Linux support
Considering the inclusion of Red Hat with Dell on the server level, you might have thought that this would have happened a long time ago. Well, better late than never, I suppose. I have just discovered that Dell is looking into bundling the big three Linux distributions (OpenSuSE, Ubuntu and Fedora) to those who might be interested.Dell Takes Linux Demand Seriously
CoolTechZone.com posted a story about why Microsoft should acquire Linux
Alright, I’m going to say this. I think Microsoft should acquire Linux. Now, I understand that Linux is not as independent of an OS as Windows; it’s a movement towards the open environment for applications; therefore, the standard M&A process won’t work. However, it wouldn’t hurt to acquire the makers of Mandriva, SuSE, Red Hat, Ubuntu and a host of other popular distributions from their corporate or volunteer makers. Trust me; it’s only for the better. Why Microsoft Should Acquire Linux
