OCC has published a new review on the BFG GeForce GTS 250 OC 1GB
So what's in a name? What nVidia hopes to do with the introduction of the GTS 250 is offer a video card to the masses that offers high mid-level performance at a bargain basement price. This is something that the BFG GTS 250 does even though it is based on the G92 GPU. Some may give nVidia grief about another rename of an aging card but it is still a viable option and the rename is meant to reduce that confusion at the retail level. With the 9800GTX+ currently selling anywhere from $125 to $175, the GTS 250 is right in line price-wise and falls below many of the cards currently offered for sale. With two flavors to choose from, differentiated from each other by the size of the frame buffer at 512MB and 1GB, they are priced accordingly at $129 and $149. Performance wise, the BFG GTS 250 outperformed the overclocked HD4850 in the majority of our benchmarks. That being said, you have a card that performs well in resolutions up to 1920x1200 and still is playable up to 2560x1600 in some of the games. This for a price below that of the competition.BFG GeForce GTS 250 OC 1GB Review
HIS Multi-View DVI Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the HIS Multi-View DVI
Many people, myself included, have often wished for an easier way to connect multiple displays. Perhaps you don't have the money for multiple video cards. Or maybe your laptop doesn't have a video-out. Or maybe you just want to connect six monitors. That's a lot of maybe's, I know, but Hightech Information Systems (HIS for short) has developed a solution to solve all of those problems.HIS Multi-View DVI Review
Meet the HIS Multi-View. This particular model has a DVI-out and is small enough to take anywhere. Being portable is a huge advantage in today's market with all the hustle and bustle of life. If you have a need to connect multiple monitors to your laptop, there is no better solution. It needs no external power supply and requires only a USB cable to connect up to your PC. Simply install the software, plug it into the DVI port or cable on your display (or VGA through use of the included adapter), and plug the other end into the computer via the USB port. It really is that easy.

The first mid-range offering of NVIDIA's GeForce 200 series is here, in the form of the GTS 250. As a follow-up to the company's 9800 GTX+, we already have a good idea of what to expect. But, various improvements aim to make things interesting, such as a redesigned PCB, smaller form-factor, single PCI-E connector, improved temperatures and refreshed pricing.EVGA GeForce GTS 250 Superclocked Review

Clunk posted a review on the Gigabyte GM-M8000 Gaming Mouse
Mice are something of a subjective little peripheral - what works well for one person could turn out to be hell on a mat for someone else. Gaming models are much more of a personal thing than your standard browsing mouse as there are so many game types said mouse will need to service.Gigabyte GM-M8000 Gaming Mouse Review
There are also often specific modes within any one game that may require a myriad of options to meet the needs of each players unique style such as cool accurate sniping or fast on the fly direction changes. Couple this with the need for comfort, precision and the software to make it flexible and you end up with a mighty challenge for any manufacturer.

Kingston is well known for their memory products, and they just doubled the capacity of their microSDHC card lineup with the introduction of a 16gb version. High capacity is nice, but can it perform? Not that it really matters much though when it comes to cellphone, you don't necessarily need a super fast card to store data and play music or movies from, but I'm curious to see how it compares to other cards I've got on hand. The GTS-250 1 GB edition is a G92 core with a twist, it's a 55nm shrink of the G92 core and has been rechristened the G92b. There are currently two models of the GTS-250 available, the GTS-250 512 MB which is nothing more than a 9800GTX+ rebranded and the GTS-250 1 GB which has a faster memory speed and a total of 1 GB of memory.EVGA GTS-250 1 GB Superclocked Edition Review

The LanCool Metal Boned K6 was a pleasant change from the other gaudy, large cases I have reviewed recently. It does not have a window or any other extraneous aesthetic features which serve no real purpose. It is compact, stylish, minimalistic and elegant while still featuring a vast array of features. With a removable motherboard tray, tool-less optical drive bays, and unique hard drive mounting accoutrements, the Metal Boned K6 is not lacking in any sense, especially when considering that these features are usually found in larger cases.LanCool (Lian Li) Metal Boned K6 (PC-K6) Review
Asus X59GL Review
InsideHW.com has reviewed Asus X59GL notebook
One of ASUS trumps in category of cheap portable notebooks is model X95GL. In X59 series last two alphabet characters are very important and "carry" information about platform on which is notebook based. In this case "GL" means that this model is based on NVIDIA solution and not on unpopular SiS chipset as it is the case with, for example, X59Sr model. Shiny black notebook cover with piano finish can be described as: "heaven to be seen with, and hell to maintain it". Dust, fingerprints and similar will be painfully obvious. Nice detail is that small cloth is included in the package so you can eliminate those "thorns in the eye" with ease. Cover is not flat as most covers are but it has small indentation at the base.Asus X59GL Review
Intel X-25M 80GB SSD Review
Hardware Canucks posted a review of the Intel X-25M 80GB SSD.
Intel as a company needs no introduction as they are the 800lb. gorilla when it comes to CPUs; however this is their first real foray into "mainstream" SSDs. As such it should be interesting to see how effective the first generation is, and whether or not it suffers from "first version syndrome". We truly doubt that it will considering if anything, Intel is known for their approach to solid QA so while it may not end up being a speed demon we highly doubt many drives in the near future will beat it in the overall performance category.Intel X-25M 80GB SSD Review

Xigmatek Achilles S1284C CPU Cooler Review
Another CPU cooler review, this time from TweakTown. TweakTown takes a look at the Xigmatek Achilles S1284C CPU Cooler
As promised, here is the last installment of my three part mini-series of Xigmatek product reviews. The previous two were some of the newer releases from Xigmatek, while this one is a trusted cooler that has made its place on most retail shelves a while back. While the sample is a little late in getting reviewed, we do try to give every cooler their day in the sun.Xigmatek Achilles S1284C CPU Cooler Review
Part three consists of the Xigmatek Achilles S1284C CPU cooler and the optional Crossbow ACK-I7363. The Achilles is an advance of the S1284EE, an already proven design. The main two differences of the Achilles are the nickel plating on the heat-pipes and the orange bladed, white LED fan, both of which add a bit of "flash" to the basic design. With the addition of the Crossbow kit this cooler is now i7 compatible as well, opening Xigmatek up for a bigger market of use. The previously mentioned fan is a 61 CFM version identical to the fan that comes with the Red Scorpion, but this time it cools a four heat-pipe version instead of the RS’s three heat-pipe configuration.
Synology Disk Station DS408 Review
OCC has published a new review on the Synology Disk Station DS408
When I first started examining the DS408 I was impressed with the number of features it offered. For data storage it offers a RAID 0/1/5/6 which makes it ideal for both home and small office and workgroup environments. You can mount up to four hard drives for a maximum of 6TB of storage. The DS408 also offers volume expansion support where you can add additional drives to an existing RAID 5 array as well as the ability to replace existing drives with larger disks without losing data. The unit also offers an impressive list of multimedia functions for serving and sharing video and music files. Integrating all of these features can sometimes result in a patchwork of seemingly unrelated applications, but the DS408 avoids this with its Disk Station Manager user interface.Synology Disk Station DS408 Review
