ASRock Core 100HT Home Theater PC Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the ASRock Core 100HT Home Theater PC

Desktop PCs of 3 or more years ago were power hungry enough that most users shut them down while they were not in use. Today's low-power nettop platform has stunned the world with how small PCs can be if you can afford to sacrifice a little of today's performance standards. Today we take a look at the ASRock Core 100HT home theater PC that brings the best of both worlds by providing a nettop-sized PC with the performance of Intel's Core i processor line. Read on to find out if this tiny HTPC is right for you!

The ASRock Core 100HT HTPC offers a well rounded home theater experience for those who do not need or want a beast of a PC running 24/7. Many users run their HTPC non-stop and having low power consumption keeps money in the bank. The ASRock Core 100HT uses less power at idle than two 13W CFL energy efficient lightbulbs! As far as performance goes, the ASRock Core 100HT is a more robust system for playing HD content than most nettop platforms such as the Intel Atom platform or the AMD Fusion APU platform if you plan on running any tasks in the background like ripping DVDs or Blu-Rays or even re-encoding video content...

There are some designs in the case world that are iconic, the original Coolermaster Stacker, NZXT's original Lexa Blackline and certainly Antec's P183. Corsair Performance 3 128GB Solid State Drive Review
TweakTown posted Corsair Performance 3 128GB Solid State Drive Review

The quest for faster, more reliable and lower priced SSDs continues today with the review of the Corsair Performance 3 128GB. Last month we looked at the flagship 256GB model, but as you may know, performance changes when flash density changes. The flagship 256GB model impressed us with its 480MB/s read speed and 320MB/s write speed. Of course, the high speeds are just one aspect of SSDs and when it comes to this controller you need to look beyond the initial benchmarks to see the long lasting effects of quality engineering. The Corsair Performance 3 is a marathon runner designed to go the distance at higher speeds over the long haul. At this time most other SSD controllers are like sprinters who need to take a water break from time to time to rejuvenate.

At this time, the 'high speed, long distance' feature of the new Marvell Van Gogh controller is being overlooked in both forum posts and the avalanche of what I call 20 minute reviews. We've been playing with the new Van Gogh controller since June 2010 off and on and have learned a great deal about its ins and outs, strong points and weak points. Obviously the performance endurance that comes from the aggressive garbage collection is a strong point. Those experienced with SSDs might say this feature is more important than achieving read and write speeds that are over SATA II speeds.

ADATA 8GB 2000 XPG DDR3 Memory Review Version 2.0 (AX3U2000GC4G9B-DG2)
KitGuru checked out ADATA 8GB 2000 XPG DDR3 Memory

Sandybridge systems are selling well, and many memory manufacturers are offering dual channel kits to capitalise on the growing market. Opting for a 4GB kit is certainly the cheapest option but with memory prices at an all time low is it worth looking at one of the higher density options for additional future proofing down the line?

ADATA sent us their latest V2 8GB kit which runs at 2,000mhz and will be priced competitively when it reaches the United Kingdom next month at only £140. Is this a cost effective, performance related choice you should be contemplating for a system upgrade?
