Asus Eee PC 1201n Netbook Review
TechReviewSource.com posted a review on the Asus Eee PC 1201n Netbook

A brand you may not encounter often, Asus, has a netbook that deserves a second, or even third glance. The Eee PC 1201n resembles conventional thin and light laptops based on CULV mainstream CPUs. It has a hefty price tag at $489, but it has both a crisp 12-inch, 1366-768-resolution
display and a very usable and typist-friendly keyboard for a netbook. It also has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 330 processor albeit one hosted by nVidia's Ion chipset.

Aerocool Qx-2000 Review
3DXtreme.net posted a review on the Aerocool Qx-2000

In my past experience with Cube Cases the problems I've seen have been with heat and access to the components. I feel Aerocool did a great job with the design and implementation of not only the cooling potential but also with the overall layout of the Qx-2000. With the ability to install 3 x 80mm exhaust fans and the included 120mm intake fan cooling the hardware inside this Case won't be an issue. The flip top design of the Qx-2000 will no longer require the user to remove optical and HDs to get access to the motherboard, ram etc. The built in fan controller is another nice feature of the Qx-2000.....

SPARKLE Geforce GTS250 Series SXS2501024D3L-NM Video Card Review
PCShopTalk posted a review on the SPARKLE Geforce GTS250 Series SXS2501024D3L-NM Video Card

Sparkle has a lot of interesting innovations in their latest video cards, for example the Calibre X240/X240G graphics cards with dual-layer fan blades cooling system, which spins in both directions, to avoid dust accumulation. In this review I will look upon another card, which seems to be one of the most powerful ones on the market, in low profile format. Its name is GTS250 Low Profile Series, with 1GB GDDR3 on-board and to see its performance I will run various synthetic and game benchmarks.

TestFreaks posted a review on the brite-View LinkE PowerLine Kit

Today for review I've got another PowerLine kit, this one is from a company called brite-View. Not long ago I reviewed a Hercules brand powerline kit, the brite-View kit I today though is a bit different in that it's also a 4 port switch, so you can connect more than one device to it. So for testing I've put it up against the Hercules kit and my gigabit ethernet I have at home, so read on to see the results and how this kit works.

Microcool It Banchetto 101 Case Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the Microcool It Banchetto 101 Case

As I'm sure many people will tell you, frequently reviewing or benchmarking lots of different computer hardware can be a real pain in the butt. Sure, trying out new gear is usually fun and it's exciting to get our hands on leading edge technology, particularly before it's publicly available. But the physical act of constantly replacing components in our test machines can get a bit monotonous, especially when you spend so much time disassembling, then installing, only to disassemble it yet again. So over the years there have been a small number of manufacturers that make cases designed specifically for the reviewer or "bencher", such as the one we have for review today, the Banchetto 101 from Microcool.

Razer Mako Speakers Review
ITShootOut.com have just reviewed the Razer Mako Speakers.

At £250/$375 the Makos are aimed squarely at the enthusiast crowd and, as they are a 2.1 channel set, at users with somewhat limited desk space. Whilst many gamers will baulk at such a steep price tag for a bundle comprising of merely two channels, these speakers’ specifications are top notch, and with no less than 300W of RMS power available they are more than a match for most surround sounds sets. The all-important frequency response specification also speaks volumes about the Mako's capabilities as it stands at an impressive 25-20,000 Hz.

Vantec NexStar 3 SuperSpeed 3.5" SATA to USB 3.0 External Hard Drive Review
TestFreak posted a review on the Vantec NexStar 3 SuperSpeed 3.5" SATA to USB 3.0 External Hard Drive

It's been a while since I've taken a look at any USB 3.0 products here at TestFreaks, but today I've got one that I think is worthy of a review. It's a 3.5" SATA HDD enclosure from Vantec called the NexStar 3 SuperSpeed and it's one of the most attractive and well made enclosures I've come across. It's also one of the least expensive on the market when compared to the other limited choices we've got.

Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD7 LGA 1156 Motherboard Review
Hardware Canucks posted a review of the new Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD7 LGA 1156 motherboard

While many may think of P55 motherboards as a less-expensive alternative to an X58-based product, enthusiasts have learned that many LGA 1156 processors can be pushed to obscene speeds when paired up with the right board. As such, manufacturers have been releasing P55 boards of increasing potential at a feverish rate. Gigabyte's P55A-UD7 is meant to be the pinnacle of their P55 lineup, but does it have what it takes to bring things to the next level?

GeIL Black Dragon 6GB DDR3-2000 Review
PureOverclock has published a review of the GeIL Black Dragon 6GB DDR3-2000 memory modules

We are looking at a set of GeIL Black Dragon 6GB DDR3-2000 memory modules that look very unique from what we normally see, sporting no fancy heatspreaders. Going with a different approach, there is a black PCB design, gold printing, and red LEDs make these Black Dragons quite refreshing in a sea of clich=E9d products that want us to believe that sleek metal casings can justify the high price tags that accompany such things.

G.SKILL Eco Series PC3 12800 2x2GB Review
OCC has published a review on the G.SKILL Eco Series PC3 12800 2x2GB

This looked really promising, so I kept moving the volts up and finally had to adjust the TRCD setting to 9, reaching 1946MHz with the timings set to 6-9-6-24 with 1.55 volts, still far from the Intel specified max of 1.65 volts. At this point, I was pretty stoked and figured 1.55 was good so 1.60v should do better. Unfortunately, Memtest stability could not be reached, so I left well enough alone and did not even try to boot into Windows. CAS 6 at almost 2000MHz with 1.5 volts! Not too shabby for a $130 set of modules.

AMD Athlon-II X2-255 AM3 Processor Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the AMD Athlon-II X2-255 AM3 Processor

In late January 2010, AMD released a new series of processors that fills in some of the gaps in their Athlon-II and Phenom-II Dual, Triple, and Quad-Core Lines. Most of the newly released processors are really just 100MHz clock speed bumps on the old versions. We have also seen the addition of some triple and quad core Athlon-II processors. In this article Benchmark Reviews focuses on the newly released AMD Athlon-II X2-255 AM3 ADX255OCGQBOX processor. Based on the Regor core, the Athlon-II X2-255 has a 3.1GHz clock speed, up 100Mhz from the Athlon-II X2-250 at 3.0GHz which was released last summer. The Athlon-II X2-255 is at the very low end of the newly released processors and represents a value based market at only $75. Benchmark Reviews is going to use the Athlon-II X2-255, with its support for DDR2 RAM up to 1066MHz as well as DDR3 RAM up to 1333MHz, to show some of the great upgrade options available for consumers who have been waiting for a low-cost option for a better computer system.
