The Free Software Foundation has released the second draft of version 3 of the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). In addition to general editing, the new draft ties the LGPL more closely to the GNU General Public License (GPL), introduces the concept of a "linked version," and adds a new option for distributing combined works.FSF releases new draft of LGPL

XYZ Computing has a new article out on the SilverStone CFP51 Bay Converter
SilverStone's CFP51 is a bay converter- an aluminum insert that gets three 5.25" bays and converts it into space for four 3.5" hard drives. Unlike other devices it does not have any features which allow quick access to or swapping of the hard drives, but it allows users to add four drives along with sufficient cooling for each in space that they would otherwise not be taking advantage of. The device is specially designed to match SilverStone's aluminum case design but should fit in any standard ATX with three empty bays.SilverStone CFP51 Bay Converter Review
APH Networks posted a review on the Asus P5N-E SLI 650i Motherboard
In order to create a product to strike a balance between performance, price, and features, the amount of effort required could be quite a challenge. What's more, in the motherboard world, a whole new level exists beyond the standard 'requirements' of a successful product. Enthusiasts will demand overclocking capability and stability; while others will want the physical layout and design to be as optimal as possible when cables are being pulled around the case. In general, if a motherboard overclocks well, is stable, and priced aggressively, it is almost guaranteed to be a 100% successful product. NVIDIA's move into the targeted mainstream (priced) motherboard market with the 650i chipset is also big news in this industry. How will the implementation of NVIDIA's 650i chipset into Asus' P5N-E SLI motherboard prove a point right here? We'll have to see what Asus, the largest motherboard manufacturer in the world, has in store for us today.Asus P5N-E SLI 650i Motherboard Review
Product PDA posted Palm Tungsten T5 Review
The Tungsten T3 is one of the high-end PDA's from palmOne. This little beauty has a gorgeous 320x480 Transreflective TFT color screen. The screen is the same size as the Tungsten T5's screen, but it packs all of this into a smaller footprint due to the sliding screen, making it much more convenient to carry than some of the bigger units available. Like the T5 it can rotate 90 degrees to give a "landscape" view of whatever application you are using. We got to test drive the T3 along with the WiFi card for a month. Sweet deal, huh?Project PDA: Palm Tungsten T5 Review
BurnOutPC.com has just posted their review on the Steelpad QcK Heavy
I'm not sure if people really spend much time in finding the right mouse pad or mouse mat. It's now a matter of price and quality. I've said this many times before, It's all about the price you pay for the gaming surface because there are many brands and companies out there producing these mats or pads. It's no longer just Steelpad or Everglide etc. I had some minor problems with my mouse to keep track but I think it's because the mat wasn't in a particularly good spot there over the stand of my lcd, I had no problems on a flatter section. I'm not really sure what the QcK Heavy adds to the normal QcK except for thickness and heaviness but it's not really a huge plus that makes me think twice to buy this one or the normal QcK but it's definitely no bad choice. Any mouse mat or mouse pad I reviewed lately are all good choices. It's the price, quality and preferred brand that plays a role nowadays.Steelpad QcK Heavy reviewed
Benchmark Reviews posted Mushkin HP-580AP Modular 580W PSU Review
With a long week of testing behind me, these results will prove if Mushkin's HP-580AP PSU is more marketing hype to draw you in, or if it is in fact a product worth the bragging rights which I can personally recommend. One thing is certain even before the testing begins: selling at NewEgg for 139.99, the Mushkin HP580-AP already offers the latest quad-rail technology and modular cable management for less then the cost of nearly all of the other power supplies on the market in its range.Mushkin HP-580AP Modular 580W PSU Review
TheAntiBlogger has a write-up about switching to Linux
For the most part, my installation of OpenSUSE came pretty well equipped. My two most important applications, FireFox and Tunderbird, didn?t need equivalents ? they?re cross-plaform. But what about all my other applications? The Switch to Linux
In order to start feeling really comfortable with this new landscape, I needed applications that not only had similar features, but also had the general look and feel of the applications I?ve been using for decades. Everything Linux seems very big and clunky. The user interfaces very ? Unpolished.
