MS Arc Wireless Keyboard Review
Everything USB posted an in-depth review on the MS Arc Wireless Keyboard

Microsoft's Wireless Arc Keyboard is a strange enigma. As a designer product it obviously places a higher emphasis on form over function, yet even with the large number of features that were sacrificed in the name of style, the keyboard still holds enough utility to prove appealing. So how is it that a keyboard without a numpad, media buttons, proper arrow keys or mouse controls is managing to entice casual users and HTPC enthusiasts alike? Press on to our full review to find out.

Verdict:
Microsoft's Wireless Arc Keyboard is best suited for casual users looking to save on desk space who don't regularly need to type any papers, or perhaps HTPC enthusiasts who are put off by competing products' smartphone-like keyboards and already have a Media Center remote or wireless mouse.

The Good:

+ Driverless
+ Lightweight and stylish
+ Familiar layout for touch typists
+ Low latency; can be used for gaming
+ Magnetically-stowed receiver

The Bad:
- Fingerprint magnet
- D-pad arrow keys are a pain for text selection
- No caps-lock indicator
- No Menu key
- No media controls except volume
- No mouse controls

We hope you and your readers will find this review helpful and informative.

WD VelociRaptor 600GB: Fastest HD Ever Review
HotHardware posted a review on the fastest harddrive, the WD VelociRaptor 600GB

With all of the press solid start drives have received over the last year or so, it would be easy to think that few advancements have been made in the hard drive space. After all, hard drive capacities have seemingly plateaued at 2TB, performance can't come close to even a mid-range solid state drive in most scenarios, and it's hard to imagine prices falling any lower, when some drives can be had for about 7.5 cents per gigabyte. But Western Digital, despite releasing their very own line of solid state drives recently, continues to push the envelope with traditional spinning hard drives. Need evidence? Then check out the brand new WD VelociRaptor 600GB.

Like the first-Gen VelociRaptor, the new 600GB variant employs a 2.5" form factor, with a 10K RPM spindle speed. This new offering, however, sports denser platters, more cache, a SATA 6Gb/s interface, and a dual-core processor; all features designed to crank performance up a notch or three. Will the new VelociRaptor hit the same speeds as an SSD? No. But it is the fastest HD we have ever tested. Read on and see for youself...

NZXT Beta Evo Chassis Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the NZXT Beta Evo Chassis

NZXT is rather new to the case business in comparison to names like Cooler Master or Antec, but they have been taking both companies by storm with their award winning Classic series. Today I've got the pleasure of taking a look at the NZXT Beta Evo from the Classic series. This case was purchased by myself for my rig to replace an Antec 300. When I originally saw the roll-out of the NZXT Beta, I was rather surprised that a $50 case, considered part of the budget market, was going to have a black interior and cable management abilities. At the time I was running the Antec 300, but I wanted a case with a bottom-mounted PSU as that had become my preference in design.

WD VelociRaptor 600GB SATA 6Gbps Hard Drive Review
Legit Reviews posted their review on the WD VelociRaptor 600GB SATA 6Gbps Hard Drive

WD today announced its first new enthusiast-oriented VelociRaptor hard drive (HDD) in nearly two years with the launch of the 450GB and 600GB capacity drives this morning. These new drives not only double the capacity available for this 10,000 RPM enterprise storage drives, but they also introduce support of the SATA 6Gbps interface and increase the drives cache from 16MB to 32MB!

The Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB hard drive (WD6000HLHX) has been rumored for many months now and it is great to finally see the drive come to market. The drive doesn't bring many new features other than SATA 6Gbps and the larger 32MB cache to the table, but WD has double the capacity of this 10,000 RPM drive series and did manage to boost performance as advertised. In fact we noticed more than a 15% performance increase in some benchmarks, which was great to see. It was also interesting to see how large the performance gap has come between hard drives and solid-state drives. The VelociRaptor series is an enthusiast class product and is ideal for those PC users who don't want to jump into the SSD market right now. The new 450GB and 600GB VelociRaptors would also make for great secondary storage drives to those that have an SSD as their primary storage drive...

ITShootOut.com has just completed a review of the Asus P6X58D-E motherboard

Asus has been uncharacteristically slow at delivering an affordable next-generation X58 motherboard, with the only product amongst its ranks to offer USB 3.0 and 6Gbps SATA being the flagship P6X58D Premium. Fortunately Asus has addressed this situation with today's launch of the P6X58D-E. Designed to occupy the price segment currently filled by the P6T, this new board boasts all of the features of its predecessor along with more powerful voltage regulation circuitry, a new colour scheme and those all-important next generation storage interfaces.

NZXT Gamma Review
PureOverclock posted a review of the NZXT Gamma Mid-Tower case.

NZXT has an extensive case lineup, and the latest product in their "Classic Series" for the value-conscious user is the Gamma chassis. At first glance, the case looks quite striking with its all black interior/exterior, which is becoming quite popular these days for gaming cases. However, affordable and practical do not always go hand-in-hand, but we've seen that NZXT typically manages to strike a balance. The Gamma is trying to continue that trend with its features and design, without being too hard on the wallet. Let's take a closer look at the NZXT Gamma.

Overclockers and PC hardware enthusiasts understand that system memory performs best with low latency and fast speeds, but both seldom come in the same package. Corsair offers the exception. Mushkin Ridgeback 998827 PC3 12800 3x2GB Review
OCC has published a review on the Mushkin Ridgeback 998827 PC3 12800 3x2GB memory

When it came to the Ridgeback kit the limit was an amazing 28% frequency increase. This allowed for an additional 449MHz, for a total speed of 2049MHz. Not too many set's out there can reach beyond the 2000MHz mark, so this is very impressive showing, but equally impressive is that they scaled this high with the CAS latency remaining at 8. With this being the case end timings were 8-10-9-29, a command rate of 2T, with the voltage needing to be set a 1.68 to fully run stable.

ASRock P55 Deluxe Motherboard Review
iXBT Labs takes a look at the ASRock P55 Deluxe Motherboard

Today we're going to review a top motherboard from ASRock. Actually, company's P55 series isn't very long, and even the second top P55 Extreme is more of a decent mid-end product. But P55 Deluxe is definitely a top solution with both rich features (SLI, 3 graphics slots, dual Gigabit LAN, top-class integrated audio, FireWire, USB/eSATA, etc.) and a nice addition to the bundle -- a SATA 3.0 daughterboard.

AMD FirePro V8800 Review - Evergreen and Cypress Go Pro
PC Perpective posted a review on the AMD FirePro V8800 video card

AMD is ready with its next generation of professional graphics solutions starting with the FirePro V8800 based on the Evergreen Cypress GPU found in the Radeon HD 5870. This new FirePro offering includes a 2GB frame buffer, support for four displays and Eyefinity technology as well as offering performance not seen in any similarly priced developer-level GPU!

I conclude this review being very impressed with the new FirePro V8800 card from AMD especially when it is pitted against the identically priced yet slower NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 card. The inclusion of features like support for OpenGL 4.0 and DX11, not to mention support for up to four displays in an Eyefinity configuration, really do make the V8800 stand out from the crowd of professional GPUs. I am sure we will be hearing more from both AMD and NVIDIA in the coming months when it comes to developer-based graphics solutions and software partnerships but for now, AMD has the strong advantage.

Thermaltake Element Q Mini-ITX Case Review
ThinkComputers.org posted a review on the Thermaltake Element Q Mini-ITX Case

But recently, Ive had the bug for a small footprint rig for HTPC. I have had several mATX motherboards over the past year, but never ended up with a small case for them. Recently I was asked to review a Mini-ITX motherboard, and this time I couldnt wing it, I would have to have a case for it. Imagine my excitement when I opened the box and saw that familiar orange and red Thermaltake logo. Ive had one Thermaltake HTPC styled case, but though it was a desktop it still was large enough to house an ATX motherboard. Not so here, this one will hold only the 6.7 x 6.7 Mini-ITX board. Today I will be looking at the Thermaltake Element Q Mini-ITX Case. It is quite small, but still has room for a 5.25 drive and a pair of 3.5 drives. It also comes with its own 220 watt power supply. CoolerMaster Choiix Air-Through Stash Notebook Cooler Review
OCModShop posted Cooler Master Choiix Air-Through Stash Notebook Cooler Review

There is a simple way to keep your netbook or laptop from turning your legs into a hot iron griddle. They've been around almost as long as laptops themselves and have proven themselves time and again: Notebook coolers. From the ultra-compact foldaway ones to the gigantic models intended for those widescreen behemoths that people are using now, notebook coolers are everywhere. And they seem to get more inventive, more practical, and uglier by the minute.

The Coolermaster Choiix Air-Through Stash we're reviewing today meets all that criteria, except the ugly part, and even gives you room to put in up to 500GB of storage. That's right, you can take an old 2.5 SATA/SSD HDD (up to 500GB) and put it in this bad boy for nondescript data storage. All I can say is that it's about time someone found a use for all that extra space on notebook coolers that didn't involve some faux fur-lined drawer that's just big enough to fit a USB stick
