VIZO SPEED-UP USB 3.0 PCI-E Host Card Review
TweakTown posted a review on the VIZO SPEED-UP USB 3.0 PCI-E Host Card

The latest revision of USB 3.0 is undeniably a great leap forward, but economic conditions have slowed the mass adaption of the technology. Intel has a bit of a roll as well, choosing to stick to their tick tock launch schedule that has their major debut of USB 3.0 hardware scheduled for sometime in the middle of next year. After NEC announced massive shipments and most likely will bring in huge profits, Intel announced that they will introduce an add-on chip by the end of 2010, but true Southbridge USB 3.0 for big blue is still a long ways off.

In the meantime we have NEC and their partners who are making add-in boards that will allow the integration of USB 3.0 into your existing motherboards by way of PCI Express. Many computers used today have an abundance of open PCIe slots making for a very high compatibility rate.

Viewsonic VG2427wm Review
TechReviewSource.com posted a review on the Viewsonic VG2427wm

Viewsonic's VG2427wm offers several components you'd expect to find in the business-class display, such as an ergonomic stand, USB connectivity and great text readability. It is a 24-inch desktop monitor with 1920 by 1080 resolution panel that does a good job of displaying colors and grays, but also emits a noticeable amount of backlight bleed. It's capable of showing HD content and has a 16:9 aspect ratio, it lacks an HDMI port which is disappointing for a display with such good picture quality.

NVIDIA Solves Multi-Monitor Temp Issue on GeForce GTX 480 GPUs
Legit Reviews reports that NVIDIA has solved the multi-monitor temp issue on GeForce GTX 480 GPUs

Legit Reviews got our hands on the latest video card BIOS revision for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 reference graphics card! We were told is the version that will be used on the GeForce GTX 480 graphics cards when they come out next week it should fix the high temperature issue that we saw in our original coverage. This time it looks like NVIDIA has solved it!

The main issue that we had with the GeForce GTX 480 in our initial review were the high temperatures and we were shocked to see dozens of review sites give the GeForce GTX 480 video card an award when the reviews went up on March 26th, 2010. When we tried to use the GeForce GTX 480 on a multi-monitor setup we knew that 90C at an idle was not right and we called it out. Even though some at NVIDIA might not have liked our review it was the truth! We knew something wasn't right and over the past two weeks we have worked with NVIDIA and made sure our concerns were heard and that something was being done about it. From the looks of things the latest version of GPU-Z and the latest BIOS update make running a dual monitor setup possible without cooking your system internals...

LiteOn iHOS104-32 BD-ROM Review
Vortez.co.uk posted a review on the LiteOn iHOS104-32 BD-ROM drive

The format war between Blu-Ray and HD DVD has been over for two years and we see Blu-Ray aiming to supersede the DVD format that has become such a large part of our lives. With a Blu-Ray Disc currently offering almost ten times the storage of a DVD the transition feels natural due to HD content, movies in 3D and other special features. This has been helped by the large companies backing the format, whom come under the umbrella name of the Blu-Ray Disc Association (BDA). The BDA has 20 members on its Board of Directors with companies such as Sony, 20th Century Fox and Intel all included as well as 58 contributors; including (but not limited to) AMD, nVidia and Lite-On, who we will continue to talk about.

16gb Clickfree Traveler Automatic Backup Solution Review
TestFreaks posted a review on the 16gb Clickfree Traveler Automatic Backup Solution

Today for review I have a backup solution that I found to be one of the best and probably the easiest system to use for your backups. It's called the Clickfree Traveler, it's a 16gb flash storage device to automatically backup your data, it's the size of a credit card and about as thick as three or four of them so it's very portable. The Clickfree Traveler has a small USB connection on it that plug into your computer, when plugged in it automatically searches your computer for a number of types of documents and automatically backs them up for you. You literally just plug it in, run the program and let it work, it does everything for you. it does have more advanced options yes, but for a quick and easy backup solution I've not found one that is this easy and simple to use. So read on to learn more a bout a backup solution that is so easy even a child could do it

Cooler Master GX-750W: Powerful but Accessible
InsideHW.com has reviewed Cooler Master GX-750W power supply unit

It seems that PSUs with a single +12V rail are recently becoming more and more popular, which is a trend present worldwide. The cause for this is likely the fact that more and more power-craving graphics cards are appearing on the GPU market, thus putting the +12V rail under considerable strain – just take Nvidia’s latest for an example. That makes PSUs with multiple +12V rails, but with a weaker power output, less desirable. This time, we’ve received a PSU from Cooler Master’s GX series, consisting of three models, with respective power outputs of 550, 650 and 750 W. The one we’ve tested is the strongest one, boasting a power output of 750 W…

Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB SATA 6G Hard Drive Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB SATA 6G Hard Drive

On the capacity front we have already reviewed solid state drives with 512GB of capacity, quite a bit more than the first 300GB VelociRaptor, but of course the cost was more than what six 300GB VelociRaptors would be. It was still a contributing reason why Western Digital should take a good look at the series and either kill it or update it with a new product line as quickly as possible.

Given that it is now April, quick wasn’t really on Western Digital’s deck since we have been hearing rumors of a new VelociRaptor since CES back in January. Looking at how the market has changed since that time, it is easy to dissect why. SATA 6G has had a few ups and downs with Marvell slow to act on driver issues that affect performance. Getting in a good test with SATA 6G and an existing drive, the Caviar Black 1GB with SATA 6G was the next logical step and would have moved a new VelociRaptor back. Western Digital has also spent a great deal of time working on a solid state drive product line and we have already seen the first fruit fall from the WD SSD tree last month.

Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Toxic 2GB Review
OCC has published a review on the Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Toxic 2GB

The Sapphire Toxic HD 5870 2GB takes off where the Vapor-X HD 5870 left off. Sapphire upped the ante by increasing the core clock to 925Mhz and adding another 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 1225Mhz. This offers up a significant performance boost over the reference cards, for not much of an increase in price. With many HD 5870 cards selling in the $419 to $499 range on Newegg, the $449 suggested price point is more than fair for the benefits of enhanced cooling, custom construction and a nice factory overclock... with a warranty!

Smooth Creations Firestorm Game PC tested
The Guru of 3D posted a review on the Smooth Creations Firestorm Game PC

Smooth Creation's Firestorm takes the LAN party computer to its lightest and most diminutive form. The Firestorm we got ended up being prone to overheating, so the i7 965 config we had was not ideal for this small of a case. However, offering several flexible configurations from AMD or Intel, the Firestorm is a very affordable machine utilizing top components, top speed, and built to SmoothCreation's unusually high standards.

Please, throw on your nomex smoking jacket (Im getting my pants on), put your feet up, and lets get close to the Firestorm.
