The Mionix Saiph 1800 looks and feels aesthetically stunning. In every aspect - from the packaging right through to the testing stage the Saiph 1800 has impressed. One of the features that stands out for me is the ability to change the DPI on the fly. This is really useful if you play multiple games in different genres as each game type often requires different sensitivities, its also pracical if you have your friends round and perhaps take turns on a game - you can ensure your DPI is for example at the lowest setting (blue) whilst your friend prefers a higher setting (green). The colour coding system is very useful and creates more functionality to an already excellent mouse.

Cooler Master has once again spiced up the computer case market with their new Storm lineup. The newest case in the series, the Scout, is a little brother to the previously released Sniper. You can see that the Scout drew a bit of inspiration from the Sniper, as they have similar design features. One of the things that stands out with the Scout is its focus on being a LAN case. This is clearly evident in its top handle and its light weight. This case doesn't sacrifice quality for weight either. At just under 20 pounds, its not very heavy, yet it's still made out of steel.

A lot can be said about the Scout. One of your options may be looks, which I think look better than the Sniper. The side window sure helps with its appearance, letting everyone see your hard work you put into doing some serious cable management in your case. It also allows them to see any extras you put in, such as cold cathode ray lights. The red LED's on the front and back fans add a spectacular touch, something that many other cases simply don't offer.

When you add all of these together you get a case that is made with superior quality and excellent looks.

The Cooler Master Storm has to be the coolest case I've played with in months. There's something about it that can only really be classified as cool. It's all black, it's got a handle on it, it's, sturdy. OK, that description's going off in a wild direction. The Storm's supposed to be military hardware-inspired, and it does have the look of a case that's half ammo box and half rifle stock, so I think they succeeded on that front. If there's going to be any concern it's gonna be build quality. This isn't a Cosmos and just glancing at it tells you that there's a whole lot of plastic in this case. The handle is molded, the power and reset buttons are plastic, the tool-free stuff is plastic, just like the rivets holding the window in.

Last month brought one of the worst Catalyst driver updates we've seen in a long time. Across the board we saw a performance drop on all cards that we tested across a number of different resolutions. While there aren't any performance improvements promised in the release notes this time, we're hoping that the performance drops we saw last month have been fixed.

There's no doubt that ATI recognized the issue with the last driver set and this is one of the main reasons we're seeing the new 9.4 set come out so early in the month. This driver set also marks the release of the first official driver for the newly released HD 4890 which we've included in our benchmark line-up.
