OCZ Vertex 2 100GB SSD Review
TechSpot posted a review on the OCZ Vertex 2 100GB SSD

Three months ago we tested the first SandForce-based solid-state drive when OCZ treated us with a sample of the Vertex 2 Pro. As a true newcomer to the SSD market, the new controller took us by surprise with encouraging results, but the fact remained that this was an enterprise class product and few consumers were ever going to lay their hands on one of these drives. At the time we were also told that a successor to the original consumer-oriented Vertex would be arriving just a few months down the road.

Then last March we got a taste of what the Vertex 2 would be all about with the OCZ Vertex Limited Edition. Yet, we were still left waiting for the true successor to the highly popular Vertex, and here it is, in our lab ready for testing and expected to be hitting shelves pretty soon.

The OCZ Vertex 2 is based on the more affordable SandForce SF-1200 controller and it's actually expected to outperform the Vertex LE. This is not a mainstream part, though. OCZ will be targeting performance oriented users with the Vertex 2 while dropping down the price of the original Vertex to service the mainstream segment.

HP StorageWorks Ultrium 3000 Review
Business Computing World published a review of the HP StorageWorks Ultrium 3000 SAS Tape Drive

The StorageWorks Ultrium 3000 is one of two LTO-5 offerings from HP. It's available as a bare half-height drive for direct fitting into a host server, in a casing for use as a standalone external drive and as part of larger tape library solutions. It can be had with a Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) or Fibre Channel interface (the latter for tape library use), with HP claiming the same capacity and throughput figures as specified in the LTO specification. Prices start at around =A32140 (ex. VAT) for the bare half-height drive, with tape library products, such as those in the StorageWorks MSL family starting at =A38200 (ex. VAT). Included with the external SAS drive we were sent were drivers for use with Windows enabling it to be used with all the leading backup applications.

ATI Catalyst 10.4 Windows 7 Driver Analysis
TweakTown posted an ATI Catalyst 10.4 Windows 7 Driver Analysis

It's safe to say that this month we're not expecting a whole lot from the latest driver release for the simple reason being we saw such huge gains from the last two months that it just doesn't makes sense that a whole lot was going to happen this time around.

To be honest, ATI deserve to take a little bit of time off, kick up their heels and have a few beers. In saying that, we still want to see something with the latest driver. Below are the latest improvements AMD makes mention of, but my personal favorite we'll leave ‘till we wrap it up!

HP Mini Executive 5102 Netbook Review
TestFreaks posted a review on the HP Mini Executive 5102 Netbook

Today for review I've got a very professional looking and business like netbook from HP called the Mini Executive 5102. This netbook is in a class by itself really, at least in regards to build quality, sure we see many metal cased laptops but not many netbooks though. The metal casing not only changes the look and feel of it but the overall view of it being a netbook as well, we think of netbooks as inexpensive, underpowered computer that arte used mostly for browsing the web and checking email. Until now with the HP Mini Executive I haven't seen many business oriented netbooks on the market, but if you're looking for something small, good looking, well made and with decent performance then you just might want to take a closer look at the Mini 5102 I've got here today
