EK-FC295-GTX Acetal Water Block Review
Accelenation posted a review on the EK GeForce GTX 295 Water Block

Quite frankly I'd be concerned about the longevity of any graphics card that was cycled through such high temperatures on a regular basis. Naturally, this all precludes overclocking, which is a shame, because these new 55nm GPUs have a considerable potential in that regard. Ultimately then, there is only one solution to this dilemma... water-cooling.

AZZA Fantom 900 ATX Midi Tower Case Review
TweakTown posted a review on the AZZA Fantom 900 ATX Midi Tower Case

This time, my review sample is shipped from AZZA. They started their company building motherboards back in 1999, eventually building up to manufacture power supplies and cases as well. AZZA has posted on their site as well as on the case I am about to review, the words "One Vision One Mission". Looking deeper into the website shows that this mission is simple, AZZA believes that your satisfaction is their success. I guess with a mission statement like that, they really plan to please their buyers.

The case I am reviewing today is the Fantom 900 from AZZA. The Fantom has some very nice features labeled in its specifications. These include large, 230mm, low dBA fans incorporated to supply and evacuate massive amounts of air. The Fantom also incorporates noise reduction methods, not only by using low noise level fans, but by adding isolation materials in strategic areas. Well, enough talking about what the Fantom 900 has to offer, let’s get to the images and we can see what AZZA brings to the table with the Fantom 900 mid tower case.

SteelSeries World of Warcraft MMO Gaming Mouse Review
OCModShop posted a review on the SteelSeries World of Warcraft MMO Mouse

I think it's pretty cool when a game designer hooks up with a hardware designer to create a device whose sole purpose is a single game. Blizzard and SteelSeries have gotten together to create a mouse dedicated for MMORPGs, namely World of Warcraft. But what could a simple mouse offer the hardcore WoW gamer? Not a damned thing. Good thing this is no ordinary mouse. It's a button-hoarding monster that holds nothing back when it comes to options. It even has a useless flashing light inside. Read on, my friends. It only gets better...

Cyber-E-Sport Orbita Mouse Review
Viper Lair posted a review on the Cyber-E-Sport Orbita Mouse

The Orbita is designed to come apart for a few reasons. The first is that Cyber-E-Sport provide you with two different feet rings. The default Red ring is the n00b's ring; it provides more grip to allow you time to get a handle on the fact that this mouse goes around in circles under your hand. The second ring is a Blue expert or fast ring. This is the one I prefer but I did have to go back to using the Red ring for a little while longer as I did find I was moving the mouse ever so slightly when rotating by accident.

Another monster notebook has hit our labs in the form of the Lenovo ThinkPad W700, a 17-inch workstation behemoth that is strangely agile for its size and weight, and it even boasts an integrated Wacom tablet. We kid you not.

Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler Review
Hardware Canucks posted a review of the new Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler.

In this review we are going to take a long hard look at the Cooler Master V8 air based cooling solution. This heatsink may lack the TEC cooling (and mystic aura which accompanies that tech) of the V10 but it promises to offer some amazing performance. The V8 has awfully big shoes to fill and it will be interesting to see how it performs not only on the i7 test bed but the older 775 one as well.

2x OCZ Apex 120 GB Solid State Drives in RAID 0 Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of 2x OCZ Apex 120 GB Solid State Drives in RAID 0

Taking all of this into consideration, most users simply can't afford / stomach the pain to spend $800 for only 64 GB of storage capacity regardless of what kind of memory it uses. But, these same users also desire something that is quick and won't cause stuttering / pauses when used as an OS drive, a common problem with early generation SSDs. For those that fall into this category, OCZ created the Apex Series of solid state drives. Utilizing an internal RAID 0 configuration to help eliminate poor performance and stuttering, can the OCZ Apex live up to our expectations of what a midrange MLC-based SSD should deliver?

G.Skill Falcon FM-25S2S-128GBF1 Solid State Disk Review
TweakTown posted a review on the G.Skill Falcon FM-25S2S-128GBF1 Solid State Disk

G.Skill has been keeping pace with the best of them when it comes to the latest in solid state drive technology, so much so that it is fair to say that they are one of the leaders in this market. Their proven track record of delivering solid products at prices that undercut the competition makes G.Skill one of my favorites in this market.

The buzz word this week for SSD technology is Indilinx and their new SSD controller. OCZ was the first maker to get the buzz started with this new controller; it is found in their Vertex Series SSDs. From the start enthusiasts went into panic mode as the newest ‘must have’ product hit the market. Here we are now just a couple of weeks later and G.Skill has their new drive, the Falcon based on the same Indilinx controller, but G.Skill has managed to once again undercut everyone else on price.

Diamond HD 4770 Review
OCC has published a new review on the Diamond HD 4770

The 4770 was obviously designed to be a low-end card, and for this reason it doesn't compete with the GTX 285 behemoth from Nvidia - but it's not supposed to! What it does do is decode high definition video extremely well. For $120, you can get a video card that decodes video with almost no CPU usage whatsoever. I took a few hours to watch some of my favorite movies, and CPU usage was extraordinarily low. About 80% of the time, CPU usage was reported at 1%; occasionally this would get as high as 3%, but the most that I ever saw was 5%. What's even cooler is that the movies ran extremely smooth the whole time. If you're a movie lover, and you'll be building a multimedia PC, I'd definitely think about purchasing a 4770.

Sparkle Calibre P980 Review
Neoseeker has published a review of the Sparkle Calibre P980, an overclocked GeForce 9800 GT graphics card

The Sparkle Calibre P980 9800 GT has been overclocked, thus making it better able to handle the ever-rising level performance levels of the competition -- especially one card that has just been released, the similarly-priced ATI HD 4770. As you can see from the chart below, the Sparkle has a healthy, substantial overclock. A few cards reviewed here recently have been advertised as 'overclock' yet only have a slight memory overclock, so this is nice to see Sparkle doing an overclock right.

Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the Thecus N7700 SATA 7-Disk RAID NAS

How much data storage is enough to satisfy your enterprise needs? Thecus would like to assure you their N7700 SATA-drive NAS server has you covered. With seven hot-swappable drive bays assembled into a rugged stackable chassis, the N7700 aims to safely house large collections of data in basic-disk JBOD, RAID-0, 1, 5, 6, and 10 arrays using either the EXT3, XFS or ZFS drive format. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports can be configured for network load balancing, failover, or 802.3ad aggregation modes; and also adds up to 9000K MTU jumbo frame support to each. A single Intel Celeron M 440 processor powers the N7700 on a 533MHz FSB, using 1GB of single-channel DDR2 memory to process requests. In this article, Benchmark Reviews tests the bandwidth speed of the Thecus N7700 against several of the best Gigabit NAS servers available.

Thermaltake Toughpower XT 850W PSU Review
JonnyGURU.com posted a review on the Thermaltake Toughpower XT 850W PSU

It's been some time now since Thermaltake released the Toughpower series of units, and since then things have changed in the market. The competition is getting tougher, the power supplies are getting more efficient, and it's just getting harder for one company's CWT based unit to compete in a market flooded with similar built units.

So, Thermaltake figured they would freshen things up a bit with the Toughpower XT series. These units feature new toys like the ability to control how long the fan spins on power off, and bring things up to date by adding 80 Plus certification.

My test subject today is the W0230RU, also known as the Toughpower XT 850W. It's a single 12V unit with 80 Plus Bronze certification.
