ATI RADEON HD 4890 Crossfire Video Card Setup
PCShopTalk posted a review on the ATI RADEON HD 4890 Crossfire Video Card

In the ATI Overdrive menu, we can see that we can select the GPU to configure from the drop-down menu, and, depending on the card, we can set the GPU clocks, the Memory clocks and we can also set the fan speed for each card, independently. In this menu we can also see the Current values of the GPU/Memory clocks, which usually show when no 3D application is on the 2D clocks, which are in this case 240/975. On the right side, there can be seen the temperature for each GPU, the activity percent and the fan speed percent.

ASUS Rampage II GENE Review
InsideHW.com has reviewed ASUS Rampage II GENE motherboard

After Rampage II Extreme motherboard ASUS engineers couldn't sit still and they surprised us with another top-quality motherboard but in many senses completely different from its predecessor. Since high-class users and overclockers were "covered" by Extreme edition this time ASUS created something very different: motherboard in microATX format. Before this motherboard, microATX format was reserved for motherboards with very limited features that were used as base for brand configurations. ASUS with Rampage II GENE is changing this perception of microATX format.

One of Samsung's latest Blu-ray DVD players, the P1600, is a media powerhouse that delivers good picture quality along side some excellent multimedia extras. It offers Netflix and Pandora streaming via the Internet as well as full 1080p resolution with BD 2.0 support and BD-Live ready. For a powerful and loaded Blu-ray player, its price is fairly cheap all things considered.

Thermaltake V1AX - 1366 Review
PureOverclock posted a review of the Thermaltake V1AX - 1366 CPU heatsink.

The Thermaltake V1AX is a Core i7-compatible cooler that appears to be an evolution of the V14 Pro that we previously reviewed. Thermaltake has a reputation for being able to "cool all your life", so it will be interesting to see how true that is with the V1AX. We know that the Core i7 chips can produce a tremendous amount of heat when highly overclocked, so we'll do exactly that and see how this cooler fares.

ECS A790GXM-AD3 Review
OCC has published a new review of the ECS A790GXM-AD3

The ECS A790GXM-AD3 brings new technology to those who are on a tight budget but do not want to be left in the dust when it comes to their hardware. Competitively priced however, there are a some shortfalls that will not fully give you an edge. In the video benchmarks, the scores were close, but sometimes the ECS board was slower than the MSI board with the same chipset. The scientific benchmarks were almost dead on, however. While the price is still to be determined, ECS has always competitively priced their motherboards, just as they did with the AM2+ version of the 790GX chipset, so this motherboard should be really tempting to those needing to save some money.

ATI Radeon HD 4890 vs. Nvidia GeForce GTX 275
TechSpot compared the ATI Radeon HD 4890 against Nvidia GeForce GTX 275

Gamers looking to spend some $250 on a brand new graphics card were given two new options last month when ATI unleashed their Radeon HD 4890 and Nvidia countered with the GeForce GTX 275.

Starting with the Radeon HD 4890, this new card is in essence an overclocked Radeon HD 4870 with far greater overclocking abilities. ATI has fine-tuned the RV790 XT core allowing for incredible core frequencies. The GeForce GTX 275 is also a derivative from an existing product, borrowing its GPU from the GeForce GTX 295, which is a dual-GPU graphics card. The GTX 275 uses a 55nm GPU featuring the same amount of SPUs and TAUs as the more powerful GeForce GTX 285, while only as many ROPs as the GeForce GTX 260.

Today we will put both cards to the test and find out which is faster in a wide range of games using the latest drivers. We will also be looking at their maximum overclocked performance to help you decide which is the best value option for enthusiasts and PC gamers alike.
