Madshrimps posted Walton Chaintech 2.5inch Apogee SSD Converter Review

Walton Chaintech are now selling a product both unique and interesting, that is thought to replace the more expensive 2.5inch SSDs on the market. The device looks like a SSD, but inside it hides two removable CompactFlash cards, that can function in both RAID1 and NRAID modes, depending on what we need more: data reliability or more capacity.

Sapphire Pure Mini 785G AM3: Multimedia Mobo of Decent Performance
InsideHW.com has reviewed Sapphire Pure Mini 785G AM3 motherboard

The demand for PCs packing low power consumption and solid performance is hardly in decline. Intel struck big time with their Atom platform. However, although it had solid CPU power, sufficient for most everyday office tasks, the graphics system wasn’t truly able to provide full multimedia enjoyment. The “inheritor” in the form of Nvidia’s ION platform rectified this drawback, but CPU performance remained the same, since the very heart of the system was still based on Intel’s Atom. More demanding users, who didn’t find Atom’s performance satisfactory, had to turn to other solutions with better performance, but also higher consumption. One of those was based on AMD’s well-known 785G chipset, which brought good performance and an excellent integrated DirectX 10 graphics card…

Vantec NexStar 3 SuperSpeed 3.5" USB 3.0 Enclosure Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the Vantec NexStar 3 SuperSpeed 3.5" USB 3.0 Enclosure

The hype is finally over regarding USB 3.0 and we are now beginning to see compatible devices trickle into the marketplace. Most new motherboards like the recently reviewed ASUS P7P55D-E Deluxe and MSI 890GXM-G65 come with native USB 3.0 support but even those with older boards can take advantage of faster speeds using a USB 3.0 PCI-e card. USB 3.0 flash drives are few and far between at this point, but hard drive enclosures like the Vantec NexStar 3 SuperSpeed 3.5" we have for review today are readily available from multiple manufacturers.

Memonex Top Series PC3 12800 2x2GB Review
OCC has published a review on the Memonex Top Series PC3 12800 2x2GB

The low voltage had me hoping for some massive clocks or at least running tighter timings than the stock 8-8-8-15 timings, but CAS 8 was it. Increased voltage or loosening the sub timings did not get me any tighter than CAS 8 at 1333MHz. While that was a disappointment, the modules did have some decent headroom for overclocking and reached 1660MHz with 1.65 volts. This 327MHz increase amounts to an almost 25% bump in clock speed that shows up as about a 20% hike in synthetic benchmark scores.

Antec ISK 310-150 Mini-ITX Desktop Case Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the Antec ISK 310-150 Mini-ITX Desktop Case

If you're looking for a Mini-ITX computer case for your new "high-efficiency" platform the Antec ISK 310-150 might be the right product for your needs. In 2009, some Mini-ITX motherboards were launched based on the Intel Atom platform. Antec quickly response was the ISK 300-65. At this moment, many other brands like Zotac, ECS, ASUS or even ASRock have taken the Mini-ITX market and expanded it to make the HTPCs powerful and affordable. There was still a limiting since many products offered low power PSUs (65 watts is simply not enough). If you want a Mini-ITX H55 paired with the Intel Core i3/Core i5 CPUs you need at least a 150 watts PSU to make sure you won't have power-related problems. Benchmark Reviews tests the Antec ISK 310-150 which offers a new, elegant front finish with a 150 watts Flex-ATX PSU to power your system.
