You know what you do when you don't have a place to get some juice for your gear? You get portable power. Black and Decker created this nifty little contraption called the PowerToGo. You can get it in 3 flavors, 10w, 20w, and 100w. I opted for the 20w because I didn't figure I would need much more than that to power my PSP and cell phone, and because the 2Ah battery that comes with it is half the weight of the 4Ah battery inside the 100w version. Weight is an issue when traveling.

If you are a regular reader of Bjorn3D.com, you will know that we have reviewed many external enclosures for both 2.5'' and 3.5'' hard drives. We have been a big fan of the enclosures that not only comes with USB ports but also eSATA ports simply because of the share better transfer rate from the eSATA ports. Many 3.5'' hard drive enclosures we have reviewed in fact have already come with eSATA port but so far we have not seen many 2.5'' enclosure that comes with eSATA port. They are slowly appearing to the market as more and more motherboard manufacutrers are incorporate such connector on the back I/O. If you have a motherboard with such port, it would be a good idea to have an enclosure with eSATA port built-in so you can fully take its transfering performance advantage.

Intel just held a press conference in which the company spoke about its next-generation server processor, currently code-named Nehalem-EX. As its name suggests, the Nehalem-EX is based on the Nehalem microarchitecture which debuted with Xeon 5500 and Core i7 series processors. The Nehalem-EX series however, will be decidedly more high-end in terms of specifications and performance. Whereas current Xeon 5500 series processors feature four execution cores per CPU with support for up to eight threads through Intel's Hyper-Threading technology, the Nehalem-EX series will be outfitted with up to eight execution cores per chip with support for up to sixteen threads, and 24MB of cache. In addition, Nehalem-EX will also sport features carried over from the Itanium line, like Machine Check Architecture (MCA) Recovery.

Beside monitors that we got in our test lab, we saw on both sites very interesting and nicely designed displays. Also we stumbled upon info that TPV is "leading display solution provider" which is the fact that isn't that easy to confirm. Nevertheless it looks like monitors that we got on test are made before this manufacturer employed a real designer. But let's not judge the book by its covers, because these models have very attractive price tags.

OCC has published a new review of the ASUS ENGTX260 Matrix

After a few failed attempts at increasing the clock speeds I went right to the voltage controls and started upping the voltage to reach higher clock speeds. I was only able to increase the clock speed on the GPU by an additioanl 5MHZ but the Shader clock speeds responded well to the voltage and gave up another 92MHz worth of clock speed, giving me final numbers of 754/1235/1593. These are the highest clock speeds I have ever gotten on a GTX 260-216sp card hands down. Fan speeds were kept constant at the 100% mark throughout the overclocked testing as the Matrix was not audible over the Scythe Kaze fans used on my heatsink.

This means that you can slap one of the newest AMD Phenom II processors in your already setup AM2+ boards and continue to use your existing hardware and later on you an upgrade to an AM3 board with DDR3 and newer technologies and still keep your CPU; it’s just that simple and AMD has really thought of everything.

Averatec recently released an All-In-One PC aimed at the general computer user. This desktop 18.4" system employs Intel's Atom mobile processor and comes in a very small and aesthetically pleasing package which sells for $490.

The base of the All-In-One PC is roughly one square inch larger than a standard 10" netbook. Despite being nearly the same size, Averatec has managed to include an optical drive, something we aren't used to seeing in a footprint this small.

Technical specifications are similar to most netbooks, with an Intel Atom N270 processor operating at 1.6 GHz, Intel 945MS + ICH7 chipset, 1GB of DDR 2 memory, 160 GB hard drive spinning at 5400 RPM, 10/100 LAN and 802.11 b/g WLAN, all running on Windows XP Home Edition.
