XFX GeForce 9800 GX2 Black edition Review
The Guru of 3D posted a review on the XFX GeForce 9800 GX2 Black edition

King of pre-overclocked products has to be XFX, their speed-bin of releasing OCed products is exceedingly fast. I do not think that there is an XFX product out there that is not available as a triple X edition or other series name slapped on top of it. Today will be no different, we received XFXes top of the shelf product, the GeForce 9800 GX2, the cool thing is that this is the new mystified named 'Black edition' series of cards, meaning it comes with a nice pre-overclock and an lovely game bundle.

With three prior LEGO Star Wars games from developer Travellers Tales this time around the focus is on Indiana Jones. It is a good time for an Indy game with the recent release of the new film and courtesy of some help from Lucasarts we hope this is another fun title in the successful blocky franchise.

b]Xthermal BTF120PRO LED cooling fan review
Elite Bastards posted a review on the Xthermal BTF120PRO LED cooling fan

Xthermal's BTF120PRO series of 120mm fans are available both with and without LEDs, but as the product name suggests our version on test here today features said LED to be more pleasing on the eye. Anyhow, let's begin with a look at the retail packaging for this piece of hardware.

If you were wondering what colour that LED was, the box art gives it away - It's white. Certainly makes for a pleasant change from the blue LEDs that seem to crop up on every single electronics product these days. Also mentioned is that a low noise adapter is included with the fan, supposedly reducing its noise level down to just 9 decibels.

Thermaltake ProWater 850i Liquid Cooler Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Thermaltake ProWater 850i Liquid Cooler

Thermaltake played a large role in the evolution of the water-cooling phenomenon. With their manufacturing capability and R&D teams, the company has made improvements in the quality of components used and the level of skill needed to install a unit successfully.

The Thermaltake ProWater 850i is a step above the company’s entry level water cooling kits and is a good choice for those looking for stable performance with a low acoustic footprint. The fan is able to crank up to very high speeds, giving overclockers who are less worried about noise and more focused on performance the opportunity to let their system run wild.

GeForce 9600 GT Round-Up: PNY, MSI, ASUS
HotHardware.com posted a round-up of GeForce 9600 GT based video cards from PNY, MSI, and ASUS

We're writing to let you all know that we have just posted a new article at HotHardware in which we expand our coverage of the GeForce 9600 GT by doing another round-up of three retail cards: the PNY Verto 9600 GT, the MSI N9600GT OC, and the ASUS EN9600GT SILENT. As you might expect, all three of these cards sport 512MB of GDDR3 and a 256-bit memory interface. What you may not expect is how different these three cards actually are. Two feature custom coolers, one of which is passive, making it silent. Because of their custom coolers, two of the cards are dual-slot solutions while the third uses the single-slot reference cooler. Only one of them ships with a factory overclock while the other two utilize NVIDIA's reference clocks. Come on by the site and check them out...

Gefen's External USB to DVI Display Adapter
Metku took a closer look at Gefen's new external USB to DVI display adapter.

Up till now the easiest way to increase the amount of displays was to connect more display adapters to the computer. This may not be possible or cost effective in every situation so Gefen went out and added this new USB to DVI Adapter to their product lineup. This might change our way of dealing with multiple monitors.

ASUS Lion Square CPU Cooler Review
Virtual-Hideout posted a review on the ASUS Lion Square CPU Cooler

ASUS has had many similar designs come and go. The last revision that came to mind was the Artic Square which was actually more round than square. The names don't really coincide with the shapes of these coolers, but then people don't buy them for their names. We buy them for their performance. While this isn't the first cylindrical CPU cooler released by ASUS, it has made a bigger difference in the battle against heat and does its job very well.

Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS Hard Disk Drive Review
Hardware Secret posted a review on the Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS Hard Disk Drive

VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS is the latest 10,000 rpm drive from Western Digital, with 300 GB capacity, SATA-300 interface and 16 MB buffer. The faster the hard disk drive spins, the higher performance is, as it can read data from the magnetic plates at a faster rate. We always wanted to review a 10,000 rpm unit to see how much faster it is compared to a mainstream 7,200 rpm unit. Also, since 10,000 rpm drives are far more expensive than 7,200 rpm units, we were curious to see what provides a higher performance, a single 10,000 rpm drive or two mainstream 7,200 rpm drives in RAID0 configuration.

Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 Processor Review
APH Networks published a review on the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 Processor

Last week, we took a look at the so-called "budget minded" Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 desktop processor. Okay, it may be slapped with the 'budget' tag, but it certainly isn't budget performance -- our benchmarks indicate that it performed on an average of 2-5% better than the previous generation's midrange E6600 CPU, yet retails for only roughly $140 -- not to mention that it overclocks very decently. Today, we'll examine something on the other end of the spectrum -- the second fastest consumer desktop processor offered by Intel. So far, the fastest as far as I'm concerned is the QX9770 on LGA775, but one down is another 'Extreme' model with an unlocked multiplier -- and that's the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 processor, with an impressive 12MB (2x6MB) L2 cache over four cores operating at 3.0GHz stock. If you're looking for something that spells 1337, pwn, omgwtfbbq, and whatever else you can describe it as, look no further than the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650. Plus you can sit back and relax to see how much it owns in the benchmarks. We won't waste anymore of your time.

The New Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset
BlueTomorrow.com has posted a new review on the new Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset

Aliph's New Jawbone Bluetooth headset delivers the highest sound quality in Bluetooth headset performance. The first-generation Jawbone and its speaker gave a fuller sound to its user than this second-generation version, but the difference in the New Jawbone's size, style and comfort may outweigh what really is a minute sound difference. In any event, put the New Jawbone up against a competing device and Aliph's sound achievement will win ? we have no doubt.

In Win Metal Suit GD Designer Computer Case Review

In-Win continues to make a name for themselves by releasing excellent cases like the Metal Suit GD. I was impressed by the build quality – every part of the case was solidly constructed; nothing about it felt “cheap”. It packs in a lot of features like liquid cooling readiness, an internal VGA cooling system, and plenty of drive bays while maintaining a sleek, uncluttered look.

ASUS Eee PC 2G Surf 7-inch Laptop Review
ThinkComputers.org posted a review on the ASUS Eee PC 2G Surf 7-inch Laptop

When the Eee PC was announced many people were excited for it, myself included. The thought of a small 7-inch laptop for under $400 would excite anyone! Now this is a budget notebook so you're not going to be playing games on it, but for most people they do 2 things on their computer, surf the web and word processing. Having a small notebook that can easily be carried and used for those functions for that price tag is pretty amazing. Now the notebook comes with Linux pre-installed, that might be a barrier for some people, but we will have to see how we like it. Read on to check out the ASUS Eee PC!

ZEROtherm Zen CPU Cooler FZ120 Review
OCC has published a new review on the ZEROtherm Zen CPU Cooler FZ120

The ZEROtherm Zen CPU Cooler has taken the towering heatsink design to the next level. ZEROtherm has decided to add a different feature when designing the Zen CPU Cooler by adding a honeycomb design to the fins in the middle of the heatsink, which will add to the surface area and make the dissipation of the heat more effective. Not only does it have the honeycomb design in the center of it, the Zen CPU Cooler is very large, allowing it to house a 120mm fan on it's front or back side. When you have the 120mm fan installed, the temperatures are average with the other coolers in it's class, however when you decide to take the 120mm fan off, the temperatures shoot up.

BFG Tech GeForce 9800 GTX OCX 512MB Review
Bit-Tech posted a review on the BFG Tech GeForce 9800 GTX OCX 512MB

We mentioned the other day when we reviewed the BFG 9600GT OC2 that BFG had recently expanded its OC line-up with the addition of the OC2 and OCX models. While the 9600GT only goes to OC2, the 9800 GTX is the first model to make use of the OCX naming scheme.

The OCX naming is the highest level of overclock from BFG; while the company has been a bit conservative with overclocks over the past year, they felt it’s time to kick it up a notch and expand upon the popular OC naming scheme.
