Netgear ReadyNAS 2100 review
IT PRO posted a review of the rack-mounted Netgear ReadyNAS 2100

The 2100 has a number of tricks up its sleeve that aim to give it an edge over the competition. First up is its size as although it fits in a 19in rack it's only 12in. deep. Next is the chassis' modular design as the motherboard and power supply are in a separate unit that mates with the hard disk back-plane and can be easily removed and replaced...

MSI X58 Pro-E motherboard review
TechSpot posted a review on the MSI X58 Pro-E motherboard

Perhaps the biggest problem we saw with initial Intel X58 motherboards was their substantial price. Add to that the serious price premium for DDR3 memory, and you ended up with a relatively affordable and fast Core i7 920 processor that nevertheless needed to run on an expensive platform.

The recent drop in DDR3 pricing got us thinking about the affordability of the Core i7 platform, and we began to wonder just how cheap users could build one of these systems.

MSI has quietly been preparing an army of Core i7 motherboards, now with five unique models on offer, we feel they may have what we're after. The X58 Pro-E is an interesting looking motherboard, priced at around $200 which is almost as low as X58-based motherboards will go.

Evercool are a very large manufacturer for cooling products. Unfortunately though, Tech-Reviews is still unfamiliar with them and so, our expectations are a bit mixed. But by priding themselves as one of the top 5 cooling manufacturers in Taiwan, our expectations from their products are certainly high. Let's see if the Evercool Rifling Fan proves itself worthy.

Nero BackItUp & Burn reviewed
ITreviewed posted a review on Nero BackItUp & Burn

Nero BackItUp & Burn is a bit of an odd product. While delivering relevant backup features, both offline and online, it falls short compared to dedicated products such as the excellent offline-based Acronis True Image 2009 and online-based Carbonite. And as a disc burning tool, it pales in comparison to Nero AG's own Nero 9 suite. The two things Nero BackItUp & Burn does have on its side are ease of use and price. If you are looking for a slimmed-down disc burn and backup package that provides plain file backup, whole-drive and partition imaging, syncing, scheduling and even automatic backup and mirroring one volume to another, Nero BackItUp & Burn is just the ticket. An added bonus is that given Nero's optical expertise with support for DVD-R/RW as well as CD-R/RW and BD-R/RE, you shouldn't have any disc compatibility problems. For advanced users looking for more control over their backups and disc burning, there are much better products. One final note: Kudos to Nero for improving its notoriously poor interface design.

Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard Review
Maximum CPU has posted its review of the Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard.

Logitech is constantly attempting to up the bar in terms of quality and features added for gaming keyboards. This one is no exception, not in the least bit, but comes with a steep price tag. When asked if I'd be willing to review Logitech's new G19 keyboard I jumped at the opportunity. I was not too familiar with the keyboard; in fact the only feature I was aware of at that time was the inclusion of a color LCD display in the middle. But after researching the new features, I just couldn't wait to get my hands on this baby!

BBC iPlayer reviewed
ITreviewed takes a look at the BBC iPlayer

iPlayer is a slick programme that makes it easy to catch up on your favourite BBC programmes that have been broadcast over the last seven days. It looks great, is easy to use, and video quality is very good at its most basic 500kbps and even better at 832=D7468 'full-screen' resolution, which uses 1500kbps. There's now even a HD mode, allowing you to stream H.264 (1280=D7720p) video through a Web browser at 3.2Mbps (1.5GB per hour of video) or download it. Though close to TV quality, image clarity still isn't as good. It is not without its flaws, however. Most noticeable is that rights agreements mean that iPlayer television programmes are only available to users to download or stream (Click to Play) in the UK. Most radio programmes are available outside the UK in addition to podcasts, although sporting and other programmes may be subject to rights agreements. You'll also need a valid TV Licence, regardless of whether you decide to ditch your regular TV. Another disappointing oversight is the ability to schedule programmes for download from a selected series until the series has ended - much like Sky's Series Link. Those on limited broadband packages will also need to keep a tight handle on usage, as both online video streaming and downloading seriously eats into your bandwidth.

Cooler Master Notepal D1 Review
CCE Reviews has posted a new article on the Cooler Master Notepal D1

Cooler Master impressed me with their simple yet elegant D1. By no means is it a flashy notebook cooler with colored LED fans or multiple USB ports requiring a separate AC power supply. They went back to the basics and with a simple tweak of replacing the hard feet with a softer material, I think they would have come up with a huge winner. As it stands, the D1 is still a budget friendly notebook cooler that does the trick of what a 50 dollar cooler would do - keeping your notebook cool.

ASUS EN9400GT GeForce 9400GT HDMI Video Card Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the ASUS EN9400GT GeForce 9400GT HDMI Video Card

Home Theater Personal Computers have been on the rise in recent years but most HTPC cases have a major flaw that makes them inherently tricky to deal with, their size. Some say size doesn't matter, well that may be true for some things in life but when it comes to HTPC's, if it's small it means limited air flow and thus it's cooling capabilities are limited. It also means that you just can't fit a very powerful video card inside of it. Even if you could, a bigger video card means more heat and we all know that heat is the number one enemy of all your computer components. So what if there was such a video card that would not only fit inside of a small form factor HTPC case but one that can perform well enough to meet the demands an HTPC requires all the while keeping it's cool? Sounds impossible? Maybe or maybe not. Here at Benchmark Reviews, you will find a lot of high end video card reviews just like many other review websites but not everyone is looking for a high end video card. Benchmark Reviews tests the ASUS EN9400GT GeForce 9400GT HDMI video card and puts it through a battery of frame rate tests to see just how well the 9400 GT performs and whether or not it can live up to the requirements of living inside of a HTPC case.

GIGABYTE GV-R489-1GH-B Radeon HD 4890 Video Card Review
Futurelooks posted a review on the GIGABYTE GV-R489-1GH-B Radeon HD 4890 Video Card

In the war without end between the video card manufacturers, the leader of the pack is determined as much by how many levels of the market they can hit as it is by the manufacturer who can produce the fastest top end card. ATI has always been good at this, many times managing to have multiple versions of a particular core available at every performance level and price point. However in this latest generation, they didn’t have a card to sit between their top end HD 4870 and the dual-GPU equipped HD 4870X2. What’s worse is that NVIDIA did.

CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus Review
OCC has published a new review on the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus

From a strict performance outlook, the Hyper 212 Plus did alright not losing by much, so it's not a bad cooler. However, I feel that with what it was compared to, it could have stood up a bit better even with 3=B0C variance in most of the tests. Still, I was impressed by a lot with this heatsink. The versatility of it only requiring a single backplate and retention bracket while covering such a wide array of socket types (AM2, AM3, 939, 775, 1156, 1366) is what impressed me. Again, like the XT-1264 however, there are gaps between the heatpipes where heat could be trapped but on a more positive note it is good to see companies trying to get it so the heatpipes come in direct contact with the CPU die.

Silicon Power 64GB eSATA / USB Portable SSD Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Silicon Power 64GB eSATA / USB Portable SSD

Without question eSATA is a superior way to connect external storage devices to a PC when compared to USB or even FireWire. eSATA is basically a fancy term used to say external SATA interface, the same thing that we use to connect our modern hard drives internally today. eSATA offers the same speeds as SATA and most modern computer cases and systems sold today have an eSATA port already installed.

What happens when you combine the extreme speed of eSATA with a light weight, small portable flash drive and throw in solid state technology? That is what we are here to find out today because Silicon Power has whipped up a batch with all three of these ingredients and delivered them to DVNation.com, a leading provider of SSD products here in the US.
