bit-tech.net published a review of Kingston's HyperX KHX9600D2K2/2G DDR2 memory

For the price you simply cannot do better than the Kingston HyperX PC2-9600. So what if they run really hot? They do the job just fine with the right settings and they work perfectly well and even in excess of what they're rated at. You've also got a lifetime warranty and free technical support.

They don't have EPP or look pimped out and they should if you're buying performance memory. But then again, there becomes a point where you just forego all the extras and setting for the pure saving.

They maybe not as absolutely fast as the equivalent speed Corsair memory, but they certainly aren't slow, and for a few hundred notes saving I wouldn't complain. You're still buying a pair of sticks with a good brand, and it's a price we'd certainly pay.

XYZ Computing posted Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC Review

This review will be looking at the Samsung Q1 Ultra (Q1U), the second generation of what is said to have been the most popular of the UMPCs, though Sony's UX was probably the best received. In the Q1U Samsung has taken a page from Sony's play book and included a QWERTY keyboard, though this one cleverly fits on slate-style device with no mechanical action necessary to get to it. The Q1U has also addressed other shortcomings with the first generation UMPCs as well as with the Q1 specifically.

hi-Tech Reviews.com posted Thermaltake BachVx Mid-Tower Case Review

If every case manufacturer made their $100.00 cases with as many features as Thermaltake does, there would not be that much need for higher priced cases. The reason I say that is the Thermaltake Bach Vx that we just reviewed has just about every feature you could ask for including room for 12" video card with removal of a drive cage, not bad for a mid-tower case now is it?

OCIA.net takes a look at the Movie World Enclosure in their latest review

The Movie World Enclosure onscreen GUI is extremely simple to use. There are four different modes (views) you can select from. The first (and default) is File Mode, which like Windows Explorer, has two panes. The left pane displays the folder structure and the right pane lists the contents of the current folder. You can either use the left/right up/down arrow and select buttons on the remote to navigate or simply press the button that corresponds to the number displayed next to each selection.

FrostyTech posted Thermalright Ultra-90 Low Noise Heatsink Review

The Thermalright Ultra-90 heatsink is more compact than its brethern, but remarkably the performance differences aren't nearly as large as you might expect. The reference list above illustrates very well how most Intel heatsinks react to 150W of heat from the CPU test die... In this case though, the Thermalright Ultra-90 proved itself exceptionally!

OCC has published a new review of the Mushkin PC2-5300 DDR2 SODIMM 2 X 2 GB Memory

In this review, I will be focusing on memory. I will show the difference in performance between what came with the computer and the memory I chose to upgrade with, which is Mushkin DDR2 SODIMM PC-2 5300 2 x 2 GB. I will not be reformatting the hard drive nor tweaking the system during this review - I will basically focus on out of the box performance difference. This review will be the first in a series of three total reviews, with this one focusing on the memory, the next focusing on the hard drive with the pre-installed memory and the last comparing the performance of the whole system after the total upgrade.

The TechZone reviews the OCZ VBoost

One of the critical selling features of the OCZ VBoost drive is that it is certified for use with Vista ReadyBoost, an innovation that lets you boost the performance of your Windows Vista-based computer by using the flash memory within the drive as a supplement to your on-board RAM. It's not quite as effective as truly having an extra four gigs of RAM, but it's a lot better than nothing. By providing a supplementary memory cache, the drive rewards you with faster retrieval and storage of files.

TheTechLounge posted a review on the PNY 8800GTX 768MX XLR8 Edition

When I played with Asus' 8800GTX, I was disappointed. It wasn't special. It was a stock-clocked GTX, with a stock trimmings, a simple bundle, at a price well above the competition. It didn't even overclock that well. What we have here from PNY is a stock-overclocked 8800GTX, part of their "XLR8" line of enthusiast hardware, and it's one of the least expensive 8800GTXs on the market. It has no bundle to speak of-outside of the driver disk, cables, and a handful of adapters, all necessary inclusions-therefore nothing to drive up the price.

TrustedReviews have looked at the Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook P1610

Despite being around for what seems like an age, the Tablet PC format is still something of a niche product. Business users find a use for them, but consumers – not unreasonably – see the extra functionality as an expensive luxury. Another regular complaint of tablets is they can be a tad bulky, especially since by nature portability is vital function of a Tablet PC – even more so than a typical notebook.

TrustedReviews have looked at the Genius Traveler 915 Laser Mouse

I’ve always though that Genius was something of a boastful name for a company, especially one that hasn’t produced anything that’s changed the world. What Genius does do is offer a surprisingly large range of PC peripherals, ranging from mice and keyboards to webcam and game pads and quite a few things in between. I’ve always associated it with low cost, budget items and have never actually reviewed any of its products. Indeed TrustedReviews has previously only looked at only one, a set of headphones (actually two - it was the group winner in my keyboard and mouse combo group test in 2004...! Gordon). But its Traveler 915 Laser mouse seemed quite cute so I thought I’d take a closer look.

TrustedReviews have looked at the Apple Safari 3 for Windows (public beta)

The benighted PC manikin played by Dave Mitchell in Apple's recent ads must be thinking Robert Webb’s Mac is having yet another coy giggle. Having bubbled on about how much better the software is that's supplied with a Mac, Apple has decided to offer some of it on the platform of its market-leading rival; it has released the Safari Internet browser for Windows.
