TrustedReviews have looked at the The Darkness

If you read around a bit, you’ll come across several opinions on The Darkness – and all of the sensible ones will be good. Some people merely think it’s another fine leftfield FPS from the creators of Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. Others think it’s a storming cinematic FPS let down by a few minor shortcomings. Me? I think it’s easily the best FPS so far this year, and the best narrative-driven FPS since Half-Life 2: Episode One.

TrustedReviews have looked at the Apple iPod nano 4GB

Apple may have blazed a trail in the world of digital music players for the past few years, but in the flash player stakes it's beginning to fall behind the competition. Not in the number of players it sells, or the amount of legal music downloads its customers enjoy, but in what it's managing to fit into its smaller players.

It still insists on not squeezing a screen onto its shuffle while other manufacturers' tiny players are building them in. And its latest nano, despite much of the competition incorporating video playback features as standard, is still sticking to its music-only philosophy, even though it has a lovely colour screen.

TrustedReviews have looked at the Lenovo 3000 N200 Notebook

The last Lenovo notebook we looked at was the N100, that Spode reviewed back in September. It was a cheap, chunky and cheerful alternative to the more exclusive ThinkPad range, that Lenovo also produce, and it impressed us enough to gain a recommended award. However, if you want something with a bit more oomph the N100 has a bigger brother, the uncannily named N200.

LAN Addict posted a review on the Albatron 8600 GTS Video Card

The long and the short of this is that Albatron's 8600 GTS would make a fine video card for any gamer not able or willing to spend the money to get an 8800 series card.

XSReviews has reviewed the Boogie Bug AimB Pad XL

Whether mouse mats improve gaming or not is a bit of a debate that I am sure won't be ending any time soon. However, most will agree that some mats can improve comfort while using the mouse, but what if the mat is so big that it covers not only the mousing area, but the keyboard area too? Today I am taking a look into a large cloth mat from Boogie Bug called the Aim BPad XL; let's see how it does.

I4U NEWS reviews the Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB External Hard Drive

One of the first things that you see once you open the box containing the Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB external hard drive is the instructions with the words "this won't take long" printed on the front. Seagate knows how to live up to that promise too, all you need to do is plug the Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB external hard drive into the AC outlet then plug it into your PC via one of the trio of connection options including USB 2.0, e-SATA and FireWire 400.

BIOS Magazine posted a review on the Freecom Network Drive

Freecom's Network Drive isn't really about raw speed and tons of features. It's a stylish device that makes light work of sharing data over a small network or the Internet. And because it has a USB 2.0 port you can stick it in your briefcase and use it to backup large files from your laptop on the move (power source needed). The downside is that the Network Drive isn't really a proper NAS device - you'll have to go elsewhere if you want flexible storage capacity, Gigabit Ethernet, backup and recovery tools, and support for multiple platforms.

techPowerUp posted a review on the Winchip DDR2 1200 MHz 2 GB Kit

Winchip is a well known brand in Asia and is now entering the european market with their memory products. The company has a long history in the OEM sector, while the heatspreader of their PC2-9600 memory looks quite unigue. The 2 GB memory kit, which costs $199, can manage an impressive 1240 MHz at CL5-5-5-15 on our testbed.

PCStats posted nPowertek NPH-1000 Heatsink Review

Will the NPH-1000 kick butt or rise in temperature like a runaway nuclear reactor? Who knows, at Frostytech we rely on hard numbers. nPowertek's NPH-1000 heatsink is a predominantly copper heatsink with an aluminum base, four heatpipes and a 95mm fan. The heatsink is compatible with AMD Athlon64 socket 754/939/940 & AM2 sockets, and Intel Core 2 Duo socket LGA775 CPUs.

Virtual-Hideout posted a review on the OCZ ModXStream 780w Power Supply

OCZ has done it again; they've made another great power supply to target the modular power supply lovers out there. They did this while keeping with the signature look of the GameXStream series. The bright 120mm blue LED fan looks great and adds a touch of bling to your system without going overboard.

Overclockers Online has posted a new review on the XClio A380

The aesthetic nature of this case is up to the discretion of the user. While the bold features on this case may not appeal to quite a number of people, there is no doubt that the two large 250mm fans cool extraordinarily well.

TechAddicts posted a review on the GlacialPower GP-PS550BP 500 Watt Power Supply

Overall, the GlacialPower GP-PS550BP 550 Watt offers a great value. The intelligent fan controller keeps this power supply silent when doing non system intensive tasks and fairly quiet when under load. There is a lack of power connectors though. With only 2 Serial ATA and 5 Molex connectors, users are limited as to what peripherals they can add to their systems.

Techgage posted a review of Ultra's X-Finity and X-Pro 800W power supplies

It's hard to find someone who can fully utilize a 1Kw power supply, while 800W seems to be a sweet spot for most high-end rigs. We are taking a look at two such power supplies from Ultra, the X-Finity and X-Pro.

Elite Bastards posted Galaxy GeForce 8600 GT OC video card review

Factory overclocked parts are nineteen to the dozen these days, all with varying boosts in clock speeds. So, where does Galaxy's board sit in the grand scheme of things? Starting with the core clock, this gets a boost of 60MHz, up to 600MHz from a reference clock of 540MHz, which in turn pushes the clock speed of the Stream Processors up to 1320MHz over 1180MHz on a reference board. The 256MB of memory on-board gets a larger boost, up to 800MHz from 700MHz on the reference part. Not a huge overclock, but nothing to sniff at either.

OCC has published a new review of the BenQ FP241VW 24in Widescreen LCD Monitor

I don't normally play at such high resolutions, but I did play COD 2 at 1920 x 1200 just to see how well the monitor could handle it. In standard mode I did notice some minor ghosting and at times some slight waves when moving quickly. When changed to action game mode, it all disappeared. Action game mode automatically changes the AMA Z setting and locks it to 2 out of 3. How I could best describe the difference would be that it seemed to add contrast, and at the same time increased luminescence, while getting rid of all ghosting.
