Futurelooks checks out nVidia's new top dog GPU
The GeForce GTX 280, and it’s little brother the GeForce GTX 260, were released in June of this year. This is just three months after the release of the GeForce 9 series. Now it may be based off the same unified architecture, but on paper, the new GTX 200 series of chips have a definite performance boost over the previously released chips. For starters this new GPU contains 1.4 billion transistors and is made on a 65nm fabrication process. According to some sources this makes the GTX 2xx series a chip with the largest die area ever fabricated for a GPU. The GTX 280 has 240 shaders (stream processors), and comes with 1GB of GDDR3 VRAM on a 512 bit bus. The chip is said to put out approximately 933 GFLOPS of floating point power.ZOTAC GeForce GTX 280 Video Card Review
Sony VPL-EX50 Projector Review
Bios Magazine posted a review on the Sony VPL-EX50 Projector
Sony's VPL-EX50 delivers consistently bright images of up to 2500 ANSI lumens. Colours aren't as rich as a good home theatre projector, but the VPL-EX50 isn't designed for DVD and Blu-Ray playback (4:3 native aspect ratio and 900:1 contrast ratio aren't great assets). Sharpness is fantastic, and its features are well conceived, making the VPL-EX50 an excellent projector for use in small to medium-sized venues. The front-inclined design helps achieves optimal image placement, and a short throw distance is perfect if space is limited. As a bonus, the new E-series projector is also easy to maintain, with a long-life filter that is timed to coincide with when the lamp needs to be replaced (around 3000 hours), reducing the number of maintenance sessions required.Sony VPL-EX50 Projector Review

Bjorn3D takes a look at the Antec Three Hundred
With technology gaining speed every day in many forms - such as the development of faster CPU's, faster GPU's, and beefier power supplies - rising temperatures inside the chassis that holds it all together become more and more of an issue. Just how small can we make an enclosure and still move enough air around all those parts to keep temperatures down? Today we find out with the Antec Three Hundred - the smallest of the 'Gamer cases' currently offered by Antec.Antec Three Hundred Review

Aeneon XTune DDR2-1142 2GB Memory Kit Review
TweakTown checked out the Aeneon XTune DDR2-1142 2GB Memory Kit
XTune is Aeneon's brand of enthusiast level memory modules. While our first encounter with the XTune was less than fantastic, we don’t reject companies from coming back with new products to try out. Today we have the newest addition, being a DDR2 package. That’s right; DDR2 still lives and it’s definitely not going anywhere soon.Aeneon XTune DDR2-1142 2GB Memory Kit Review
The kit sent to us is the DDR2-1142MHz overclocked pack with 2x1GB modules for a total of 2GB in Dual Channel; ideal for both Intel and AMD. These modules aren’t rated for Phenom’s 1066MHz memory controller, but that shouldn’t stop it from working with a bit of a boost in memory voltage.

The Rosewill R2 is a dual bay RAID enclosure for two 3.5" SATA HDDs. It supports connectivity via USB or eSATA. With the included software you can create RAID 0, RAID 1 or JBOD arrays for increased performance or data safety. EVGA GTX 260 FTW Edition Review
OCC has published a new review on the EVGA GTX 260 FTW Edition
With a factory overclocked video card there is usually not too much left on the table for the enthusiast to gain on top of the speeds the manufacturer has pulled from the silicon. The stock (If you can call it that) speeds of the FTW edition GTX 260 are 666MHz on the GPU core and 1107MHz on the memory. These "Factory Overclocked" speeds are already 90 and 107 MHz higher than the "stock" specifications. It looks as though EVGA left a little on the table when it came to the clock speeds. I was able to ratchet the GPU core up another 96MHz and the memory another 101MHz. This brings the total overclock from the stock settings on the GPU core to 186MHz and 208MHz on the GDDR3 memory. Both of these clock speed increases are huge. By comparison, I was only able to pull 110MHz out of the GPU core and 147MHz out of the memory on the GTX280 I recently reviewed. I guess the EVGA GTX 260 earned its FTW wings today!EVGA GTX 260 FTW Edition Review

Silicon Power has big dreams, but this a cruel world we live in and being the new name in competitive North American computer industry usually doesn't help dreams come true. Making matters more difficult - even beyond the obvious start-up hurdles - is the latest product focus of Silicon Power: Solid State Drive (SSD) technology. But all of this isn't to say that I don't think they can do it, because there have been many a new name made by fresh companies introducing product with a dramatic improvement over the old. But will Silicon Power enjoy this luxury? Benchmark Reviews tests the Silicon Power 64GB SATA SSD model SP064GBSSD25SV10 against nearly a dozen other Solid State Drives to see how well their SSD performs.Silicon Power 64GB SATA Solid State Drive Review
