Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive Review
Everything USB posted a review on Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive

It certainly would be great if as new faster standards came out you could simply upgrade your existing external drive, instead of being forced to buy all new equipment. Seagate seems to agree, as their FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra Portable 500GB external drive is designed from the ground up with upgradeability in mind via its groundbreaking interchangeable GoFlex cable system. On paper, this sounds like a wonderful idea but is the reality the same as the theory?

The Verdict:
While the 5400-rpm drive is not going to break any speed records, the FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra Portable Drive actually does what it claims: simple, painless upgradeability. With minimum effort, you can customize its interface to suit your changing needs. The included software, while basic is still a nice bonus.

The Good:
+ Quick and easy upgradeability
+ Only pay for what you need
+ Portable yet stable design
+ Included software based encryption
+ Software is preloaded on the drive, no need of CD/DVD to install it
+ Seamless automatic data backup options
+ GoFlex adapters can be used on any SATA drive

The Bad:
- Short USB cables (only 18 - 20 inches)
- Proprietary cable means expensive cable replacement
- No active cooling
- 2 year warranty is extremely short compared to older model's 5 year warranty
- Sealed unit so hard drive replacement will be difficult
- No power On/Off switch for drive

Therefore, I had high expectations when the Fortress arrived here in the Tweaknews lab. To say that I was impressed with this chassis would be a bit of an understatement. With top-of-the-line cooling performance, a rich and innovative feature set, great looks and a roomy and convenient interior, this is easily one of the best chassis' I've had the pleasure to review.

Sapphire Radeon HD 5670 Ultimate & HD 5550 OC Review
OCC has published a review on the Sapphire Radeon HD 5670 Ultimate & HD 5550 OC

If you are looking for a cheap upgrade to your system that is going to give you the latest in mainstream DirectX 11 cards, you are going to be looking at getting either an HD 5670 or HD 5550 and Sapphire has a great lineup when it comes to either of these models with their HD 5670 Ultimate and the HD 5550 OC. For the $20 difference between the two cards, I would put my money on the HD 5670 Ultimate, not only are you going to get better performance and a faster card, you are also going to be getting a few included accessories and a much higher overclocking headroom.

CoolIt ECO ALC CPU Cooler Review
Hi Tech Legion posted a review on the CoolIt ECO ALC CPU Cooler

The CoolIt ECO A.L.C. brings many of the advantages of liquid cooling to the mainstream user without breaking the bank at a mere $69.99. The CoolIt ECO is a solid CPU cooling solution and allows the user to unclutter the case to increase airflow, all while remaining self contained and very easy to install. The two major foreboding aspects of liquid cooling, price and complicated install and maintenance, are not a worry with the CoolIt ECO. The CoolIt ECO is comprised of two main components, a pump with the contact block and a 120mm fan/radiator assembly. The pump is as easy to install as any air cooler, needing only four thumbscrews to secure it in place. The fan/radiator assembly installs in exactly the same manner as a standard case fan.

Up for review today I’ve got a scanner from Epson called the Perfection V330 Photo Scanner. ASUS ARES Radeon HD5870X2: Only for the Chosen Few
InsideHW.com has reviewed ASUS ARES Radeon 5970 graphics card

Last season saw an ASUS MARS limited edition graphics card model, based on a doubled NVIDIA GeForce GTX285. We thought at the time that the name Mars must stem from the name of the Roman god of war. We’re positive about that now, since the model we’re presenting today is carrying the name of the Greek war god. It seems that ASUS was let down by NVIDIA in terms of interesting products this year, worthy of modifications ASUS’ design section can make, so the logical choice was ATI with their very popular Radeon HD 5970. As ASUS can allow themselves unlimited resources in creating special edition models, designers were obviously left unrestrained, with the slogan “only the best and with zero compromise”. The plan with ARES HD 5970 was simple - eliminate all problems that companies are facing because of the limited budget that the cards have to fit in. If this makes you think that the card we’re about to review is bound to be incredibly expensive and not intended for mortals - you’re right. This card costs 1200€…
