Zalman ZM-NC1500 Ultra-Quiet Notebook Cooler Review
OCModShop posted a review on the Zalman ZM-NC1500 Ultra-Quiet Notebook Cooler

Notebook computer pack an awful lot of electronics into a small space. As notebooks get more powerful, so does their heat output, and people who use their notebooks as a "desktop replacement" feel all of that power on their legs (please no dirty jokes).

Zalman has unleashed their latest notebook cooler to help alleviate our pain, dubbed the ZM-NC1500 Ultra Quiet Notebook Cooler. Like many of the other notebook coolers we've reviewed over the years, this one elevates the notebook from your work surface, offers additional ventilation and airflow. This edition not only comes with extra fans, but an extra USB port, as well. It is also large enough to accomodate today's large 17" laptops.

NZXT Zero 2 Full Tower Case Review
PC Perspective posted a review on the NZXT Zero 2 Full Tower Case

Today, we have the second revision of NZXT's Zero case called the Zero 2. NZXT went back to the drawing board and developed a steel chassis to give the case a lot more stability and rigidness that most PC builders look for when building a new system. The new chassis uses 1.0mm steel, which bumps the entire weight of the case to 10.2 kilograms, which is roughly 22.4 lbs. That's a pretty big different from the original Zero that weighed in at 7.35 kilograms or 16.2 lbs. Let's see if the extra durability is enough to entice consumers to this full tower case.

NZXT Beta Classic Series Mid-tower Review
Hi Tech Legion posted a review on the NZXT Beta Classic Series Mid-tower

Considering the fact that this is an Entry Level case, it is a case that everyone can use. Now, with all the cases I have been through, this is a first where I haven't seen a rear fan. A little shock to me, but that doesn't mean that no one can get this case. As I mentioned, it did what it is supposed to do, and that's about it.What's my complaint? Well, the rear fan not being there. It's a minor complaint, although I personally would have loved a rear fan there. That's my opinion though, so if you like that it doesn't have the fan, then good for you! But, like I said, all the cases I have seen had a rear fan, and I just found it really odd that there wasn't a rear fan, and, come to think about it, it didn't come with a manual! Overall, this case did what it is expected to, and it works fine.

With power supplies, many people believe that bigger is better but in truth most rigs will never draw above 500W including my i7 rig at full tilt. Yes, the battle between noise and performance once again rages in the PSU market and Cooler Master's Pro M500 unit hopes to be the quietest we've tested yet. Featuring a 135mm fan, transferring heat from hot spots and fin type design, Cooler Master's unit can certainly talk the talk but can it walk the walk? Let's find out.

For many, just the thought of setting up and using a network attached storage (NAS) device makes their eyes cross and their pulses increase. While even the technophobic recognize the benefits of having a network-based repository of files for sharing and backup, the concept can still seem daunting to some. The reality is that NAS devices have become surprisingly easy to set up and use, but most still require at least a modicum of networking knowhow. In a bid to allay the fears of even the greenest of computer users, however, CloudEngine's Pogoplug makes setting up and using a NAS device as easy as it can possibly be.

NZXT Cryo S Laptop Cooler Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the NZXT Cryo S Laptop Cooler

Tere are all sorts of laptop coolers on the market, but OCIA.net has only seen a few of them. Back in February of last year, our reviewer Frank Stroupe had a chance to check out NZXT's high end, aluminum laptop cooler, the Cryo LX, which fits up to 19" wide-screen laptops. NZXT was born into the case market, so designing for style on top of functionality is the name of their game. This design process proved thoughtful and effective as the Cryo LX earned our seal of approval. Today, NZXT is at it again, as I have a look at their Cryo S aluminum laptop cooler.

Cooler Master UCP 700W Power Supply Review
Hardware Secrets posted a review on the Cooler Master UCP 700W Power Supply

UCP 700 W (also known as RS700-AAAAA3-US) from Cooler Master uses a DC-DC converter on its secondary, i.e. it is basically a +12 V power supply using two small power supplies to convert the main +12 V output into +5 V and +3.3 V. This is the same principle behind power supplies from Antec Signature, Seasonic M12D, Corsair HX (750W and up) series and at least with these other units it proved to deliver very high efficiency. UCP 700 W is 80 Plus Silver certified, meaning that it provides at least 85% efficiency at full load and at least 88% efficiency during typical (50% load) operation. By the way, UCP stands for Ultimate Circuit Protection.

Not too long ago, I looked at a low powered Xigmatek unit that did a pretty good job of being a budget power supply and yet still being decent quality, the No Rules Power PC501. Folks, it seems that Xigmatek wasn't entirely happy with the 501, for today I have in my hands the 502. It promises to be a more efficient, environmentally friendly version of the older 501.

ATI Radeon HD 4730 CrossFire Review
InsideHW.com has reviewed Sapphire and PowerColor ATI Radeon HD 4730
graphics cards.

Position in which Radeon HD 4770 found itself, at one moment, has been little bit unpleasant. Lack of available GPUs combined with huge demand can be nightmare situation for any GPU manufacturer. Reason for this situation is newly adopted and implemented 40nm manufacturing process that wasn't reliable enough at that moment. Situation got improved after price drops of some HD 4850 and HD 4830 models. As another way for further improvements in this situation new Radeon HD 4730 was presented.

Lian Li PC-B70 Full Tower Case Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Lian Li PC-B70 Full Tower Case

When I first got into overclocking my computers, my decisions were based on looks with effectiveness in mind, but noise was a distant concern with my purchases. Years of coolers maxed at 100% for cooling effectiveness took their toll on me and members of my various VOIP servers. I had a rig that was jokingly referred to as a GE 120. For those who don’t know, that is a jet engine developed by General Electric. So now you get a feel for what I was dealing with.

Time progressed and I pushed a lot of my hardware close to death, but I have lost the urge to run my PC at breakneck speeds. With this decision, I noticed how much quieter my computer could run and got really accustomed to it. I have had some of the quietest coolers for CPU’s and GPU’s but I always overlooked the benefits of what a chassis could do to aid in this search for silence. Lian Li is offering us just that, a chassis based on the quest to make your PC as quiet as physically possible.

NZXT Beta Review
PureOverclock has published a review of the NZXT Beta mid-tower computer case.

In these tough economic times, spending even $100 on a new computer case may be out of the question for many of us. So, the question then becomes: What are we to do? Seeing this need unfulfilled as of yet, in steps NZXT's newest offering, the Beta. Priced very low into the sub $100 category, they are hoping to include enough features found in some of their more expensive cases, into a new design that most anyone can afford. But, how well have they done? How good can a case that costs less than most hard drives these days really be? These are the questions that we are looking to discover today.

Seagate Barracuda LP 2TB (ST32000542AS) Review
HardwareLogic posted a review on the Seagate Barracuda LP 2TB (ST32000542AS)

Seagate might not have been the first to reach the next terabyte milestone -- Western Digital holds that distinction -- but the company can claim the fastest 2TB hard drive on the block. Like WD's 2TB model, Seagate's Barracuda LP sports a slower rotational speed than performance-oriented drives in order to cut back on power consumption and save energy. Only Seagate didn't scale all the way back to 5400RPM, a long-time standard among low-power drives, and instead put the breaks on at 5900RPM, giving it a slight advantage over the competition. Rotational speed aside, how do the two stack up on paper?
