Those looking to build a Core i7 system on a budget will no doubt choose the Core i7 920 as the next step up costs $570, and at more than twice the price the Core i7 950 only offers a slight performance advantage.DFI Lanparty UT X58-T3eH8 and JR X58-T3H6 motherboards Review
The motherboard choice is not as obvious, even though a single chipset is being used across the board. The Intel X58 is what drives all Core i7 motherboards today and for the most part you will have to pay dearly for it. Today we will be checking out the DFI LANParty UT X58-T3eH8 and the LANParty JR X58-T3H6 motherboards.
DFI aims at the enthusiast and gamers market with two X58-based LANParty motherboards. One is their flagship ATX product, the other is a tiny yet power packed mATX mobo.
Zotac GTX 285 Infinity Review
XSReviews reviewed the Zotac GTX 285 Infinity graphics card
The cream of the crop graphics cards now tend to be dual core designs such as the GTX 295 or, if we are talking ATI, 4870x2s. However, single core cards are still very much in the scene and competing right at the top end of graphics card technology.Zotac GTX 285 Infinity Review
Today we will be taking a look at a card from Zotac's GTX 285 range -- the Infinity Edition. This particular one features a GPU water block instead of the reference air cooling as well as being factory overclocked with a core 722MHz.
The card certainly makes for nice reading on paper but will it really justify the high price tag attached to it? Let's take a look...

Standing 157mm tall, Xigmatek's Thor's Hammer heatsink tips the scales at 800 grams and has a rather boxy footprint of 120 x 116mm. It accomodates one or two 120mm fans that mount to the fins with special rubber vibration absorbing posts. No fans are supplied with the Xigmatek S126384 heatsink, allowing users to pick a high speed 120mm fan or ultra quiet model of their liking.Xigmatek S126384 Thors Hammer Stacked Heatpipe Heatsink Review
BFG LS-550 (New) Power Supply Review
Hardware Secrets posted a review on the BFG LS-550 (New) Power Supply
LS and MX are sister power supply series from BFG, with models from MX series coming with a modular cabling system, a 120-mm fan and an auxiliary 80-mm fan on the rear, while models from LS series use a 135-mm fan and no modular cabling system or second fan. Initially both series used the same internal design, however this is not entirely true anymore. All models from MX series are manufactured by Fore Point (one of the factories from Fortrex), but LS-450 and the new version of LS-550 (marked as "LS-550 (New)" on their website, being the model we are reviewing today and currently available on Newegg.com) are manufactured by Enhance. The old LS-550 and LS-680 are manufactured by Fore Point with the same design as models from MX series. According to BFG they will move all models from MX and LS to Enhance in the future, and when this happens units will be either released with new wattages (e.g. LS-700 instead of LS-680) or will have the name "New" added to their name.BFG LS-550 (New) Power Supply Review
NZXT Panzerbox Mid-Tower Case Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the NZXT Panzerbox Mid-Tower Case
Like the Beta, the Panzerbox comes from NZXT's Classic Series, those chassis typically with a more conservative appearance than their Crafted product line. Also along the same lines as the Beta, the Panzerbox is advertised as a mid-tower case and comes painted black inside and out. But there is where the similarities end. The Panzerbox is constructed of aluminum rather than steel, and features a unique shortened size that nearly lends itself to being classified as a micro-tower design.NZXT Panzerbox Mid-Tower Case Review

Cooler Master Hyper 212+ Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the Cooler Master Hyper 212+.
When it comes to cooling our CPU's down, we all want a cooler that not only performs well, that cooler also has to be priced competitively. There are a ton of CPU coolers out there to choose from. While the good ones come in at a hefty price tag of 60 USD or more, the average person may not be able to fork out that much on a CPU cooler. Well there are other alternatives at a much lower price point. The downside with these types of coolers however is that they usually can't cut it for cooling an overclocked processor.Cooler Master Hyper 212+ Review
Cooler Master has a CPU cooler that sits in between these two types of CPU coolers. The question is, does it have what it takes to help keep cool even the most demanding CPU out on the market, or does it just fall short of a stock upgrade?
Inno3D GeForce GTS 250 iChiLL FreezerX 1GB Graphics Card Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Inno3D GeForce GTS 250 iChiLL FreezerX 1GB Graphics Card
It really does seem weird to be looking at models which are considered quite old now. The funny thing is that while the GTS 250 might have been out for a while, it's still a very current model. A few years ago this wouldn't have been much of a surprise, but with the recent releases of so many cards over the past 18 months it just seems funny that the GTS 250 is still a very current model.Inno3D GeForce GTS 250 iChiLL FreezerX 1GB Graphics Card Review
Today we'll be looking at a card from Inno3D and like most companies they've really been able to mix it up because of the age of the card. The biggest advantage to working with cards that have been around for a while now is that there are plenty of options when it comes to cooling. We also find that a lot of companies know where they’re at when it comes to overclocking, so if they choose to go down that path a good few MHz can be extracted out of the core and memory.
