MSI GeForce N460GTX Cyclone 1GD5 Overclocked Video Card Review
Legit Reviews posted MSI GeForce N460GTX Cyclone 1GD5 Overclocked Video Card Review

The MSI N460GTX Cyclone 1GD5 video card looks great on paper, but how well does that custom Cyclone cooler do in the real world? We take this factory overclocked video card from 725MHz on the GF104 'Fermi' GPU core well past 900MHz, so it looks like it is the real deal. Read on to see what MSI has done with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB video card with their custom cooled N460GTX Cyclone!

The MSI N4600GTX Cyclone 1GD5 video card was found to be about 6% faster than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB reference card. The MSI N4600GTX Cyclone 1GD5 features a 50MHz boost on the GPU core clock and that was enough to give it the performance boost needed to beat out the reference card in the performance tests that we ran. It was interesting that MSI didn't overclock the 1GB GDDR5 memory chips at all, as other companies are putting slight overclocks on the memory. It really doesn't matter though as we were able to overclock the MSI N4600GTX Cyclone 1GD5 video card all the way up to 915MHz on the core! This is a 240MHz overclock from NVIDIA's reference design and that is rather massive. When overclocked this high the MSI N4600GTX Cyclone 1GD5 is performing faster than a stock clocked GeForce GTX 470 and just behind the Radeon HD 5870 in benchmarks like 3DMark Vantage...

Samsung R780 17-Inch Core i5 Notebook Review
Futurelooks checked out the Samsung R780 17-Inch Core i5 Notebook

Not everyone who has a notebook is interested in taking the computer with them on the road. Instead, they just want the flexibility of using the laptop in any room in the home, operating as a desktop replacement more than anything else. Samsung's Core i5 powered R780 seems geared towards that crowd. While far from being a high-end gaming rig for hardcore gamers, this 17.3-inch notebook PC is no slouch in the specs department either. And it has an attractive sub $1000 price point to boot.

SilverStone Fortress FT02 Computer Case Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the SilverStone Fortress FT02 Computer Case

Some years ago, Intel tried to move beyond the ATX "Advanced Texchnology Extended" motherboard standard with a new design layout called BTX, for "Balanced Technology Extended". One of the main reasons for doing this was to improve the cooling of motherboard components. The new design called for new cases as well, and although a few BTX systems and cases were produced, they never caught on. The ATX standard remains today, albeit with variants like "MATX", "EATX" and "HPTX". But innovation in cooling and case design is hardly dead, as the SilverStone Fortress FT02 cases proves, and Benchmark Reviews checks it out to see if its unique vertical motherboard mounting design has any real-world benefits.

Cooler Master Inferno Review
OCC has published a review on the Cooler Master Inferno

When it comes down to it, the Cooler Master says they built the Inferno specifically for MMORPG and FPS gamers specific needs and that it was. Not only is the mouse very customizable when it comes to the buttons, it just feels right in your hand. It was able to provide me with a nice ergonomic design that supported my hand while I was holding on to the mouse in a very natural and relaxed position.

Samsung Spinpoint F4 320Gb Hard Drive Review
TestFreaks posted a review on the Samsung Spinpoint F4 320Gb Hard Drive

So we’re going for another Samsung review today, this one though is of one of their newest hard drives called the F4. I’ve put it up against many other drives from other manufactures and even against the Samsung F1 and an SSD as well. The F4 is fast, it’s faster than all of the other drives except for the SSD, but in some of the tests it comes close. Read on to check out a very lightweight and fast hard drive…

MSI N480GTX M2D15 GeForce GTX 480 Review
PC Perspective posted a review on the MSI N480GTX M2D15 GeForce GTX 480

With all the GTX 460 news swirling around the industry, I thought I would take a step back and take a different angle at the older, but very powerful, GTX 480 from MSI. Tessellation performance and GPGPU application support are two areas where I focused on, and the results I have found are somewhat telling about the state of tessellation in the graphics industry.

I believe Fermi can be a very successful architecture. The only problem is that it did not line up with the 28 nm process that will be introduced next year. In many ways the GTX 480 is more in line with the Radeon HD 2800XT than the aforementioned GeForce FX 5800 in terms of designing a part a little too aggressive considering the process technology at hand. But the significant difference between the GTX 480 and those products is that it actually performs where it should, and is a class leader in terms of features and functionality.

While this may only be Cooler Master's second foray into the highly competitive mouse market, the CM Storm Inferno gaming mouse looks very attractive, and appears to have hit all the right notes that gamers typically demand. Siig Wireless-N USB-Pro Adapter Review
Bona Fide Reviews posted a review on the Siig Wireless-N USB-Pro Adapter

All the cool kids are doing it these days, yes it’s 802.11N! We have the need for speed and N is pretty much officially here, but many of our products don’t have N built-into them unless they’re fairly new. My netbook is only a year old, but it doesn’t have N in it, so I have two choices find a compatible card and open it up or get a USB 802.11N adapter. Siig has sent me over their Wireless-N USB-Pro Adapter for review and it’s not a bad little product overall. In addition to giving you 802.11N networks, it also has access point functionality built-in so you can allow other to connect to you and access the internet, kind of like your very own little hotspot!

Choiix Power Fort Portable Charger Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the Choiix Power Fort Portable Charger

The Choiix Power Fort hopes to provide a solution to the chronic dead battery issue. The Power Fort is a pocket sized rechargeable battery that outputs power through a USB port. Because the majority of mobile electronics either arrive with a compatible USB cable or charge off of a USB variant (micro and mini cables are included in the package), the Power Fort should be compatible with a huge range of portable electronics.
