Astone Media Gear AP-100 1080p Media Player Video Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Astone Media Gear AP-100 1080p Media Player Video

Astone sent us over one of their Media Gear AP-100 Full HD 1080p USB and Network Media Player samples for video review. Astone is claiming this to be one of the cheapest HD media players on the market in Australia at $199 AUD (or about $167 USD at the time of writing) including an 802.11n USB wireless dongle. It supports a vast range of audio and video formats for the price and shows plenty of potential on paper.

In a lengthy video review, we fully put the HD media player unit through its paces and see if it’s a hit or miss product.

Asus M4A79T Deluxe Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the Asus M4A79T Deluxe.

Previously I reviewed one of MSI's latest 790FX-GD70 and I considerd it to be hands down, one of the best AM3 boards I have used. Some time has past now and my collection has grown a bit more and today we get to toy with the Asus M4A79T Deluxe. It seems like we are getting rehahes of the tired 790FX chipset but with each board their seems to be more and more improvements. Even though we patiently await the newer AMD chipsets ahead it's always nice to see a new board in the pile.

The question though, is what kind of minor tweaks will Asus bring with their M4A79T Deluxe? Lets continue to find out if it take the crown over MSI's steep competition.

Noctua NF-S12B FLX 120mm Fan Review
Overclockers Online posted a review on the Noctua NF-S12B FLX 120mm Fan

Noctua makes excellent products and the NF-S12B FLX is no different. It is certainly a unique fan in terms of aesthetics, design and engineering. This is especially evident in the attention to detail that Noctua has paid to the fan - for example, the beveled blade tips. Using the included noise-reduction adaptors, you can make the fan run almost silently without compromising performance too much - not that it is loud by any means even at the normal setting.

Verbatim Go Nano Wireless Mouse Review
Maximum CPU has posted its review of the Verbatim Go Nano Wireless Mouse

I use my laptop as a primary computer, and have become quite accustomed to using a trackpad full-time. It's become a bit of a necessity, as I don't feel like carrying a mouse with me. Newer offerings such as the Go Nano from Verbatim are designed to walk a line between being portable and comfortable platforms. In terms of mice, I'm a fan of large platforms that support my wrist with adequate height, so carrying one around has been out of the question. Because I use a Mac, I've found that the trackpad is more than adequate in terms of gestured input and overall feel. Until now, I had never seriously used a portable laptop mouse as some of my colleagues do. We'll see if I can be convinced to carry one with me!

ASUS P7P55D Deluxe Motherboard (Intel P55 Express) Preview
TweakTown posted a preview on the ASUS P7P55D Deluxe Motherboard (Intel P55 Express)

P55 is Intel's newest chipset to come out. This is the mainstream brother to the X58 chipset, which we all knew was coming anyway. P35 came after X38, P45 came after X48 and now P55 has come after X58. But we aren't here today to talk too much about the P55 chipset, since we are under NDA from Intel and we can't give a lot away. Unfortunately this also excludes us from being able to show any benchmark results. However, we are able to give you a preview of one of the ready to ship ASUS P7P55D Deluxe boards based around the P55 chipset.

The P7P55D Deluxe board is aimed at the mainstream segment, but due to its early release we are not sure of its price point as yet. Let’s move on now and see how the box is presented and what surprises may greet us inside.

Intel X25-M 160gb SSD Drive (34nm) Review
Driverheaven posted a review on the Intel X25-M 160gb SSD Drive (34nm)

The drive we are looking at today is the long awaited Intel replacement which is built on the 34 nanometer manufacturing process - this has the long term benefit of helping to reduce the costs to manufacture therefore meaning less cost to the consumer - well thats the theory anyway. Randy Wilhelm, Intel's Vice president and senior manager was keen to announce publically that their goal was to be not only the first to acheive 34nm NAND flash memory lithography but to do so with the same, or faster performance than the previous versions.

Verbatim Rapier V1 Review
InsideHW.com has reviewed Verbatim Rapier V1 Laser Gaming Mouse

This a mouse with few very unique features when it comes to its design and functions. It looks somewhat futuristic but ergonomically it is designed for right handed users and there are some details that can look odd at first glance. One of these features is presence of mouse wheel on left mouse button. Also, left button is positioned lower than the right one which makes this mouse look as some sort of two fingered paw. This button layout is definitely better for FPS gamers because it allows faster access to mouse wheel and third button. Between left and right mouse button, where wheel should have been, is placed Triple Click button that can be used as left button double click.

GMC X-7 'X-Station' Review
OCC has published a review on the GMC X-7 'X-Station'

I was very impressed with the X-7 X-Station's performance. It was not at all what I was expecting. Both the CPU idle and load temps were almost the same as my full-tower case. The GPU idle temp was the second highest. Much to my surprise however, the X-Station managed to have the lowest GPU load temp. The chipset was a little toasty. Both at idle and load, the X-Station did only 1C better than my generic case. Then again, it did keep my HDD the opposite of toasty. That's right!!! The X-Station kept my HDD way cooler than a full-tower case! I thought that was pretty amazing. Overall, the X-Station performed great as a mid-tower, and that's with my mediocre wire management.
