Canon PIXMA MP830 Multi-Function Printer
TrustedReviews looked at the Canon PIXMA MP830 Multi-Function Printer

With simple multi-function machines available for well under £100, it's legitimate to ask what extra value you get my paying over £200 for the high-end PIXMA MP830 from Canon. The specifications give some of it away, with things like duplex printing and duplex scanning from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), a paper cassette as well as a paper tray and direct printing from memory cards and PictBridge cameras.

Creative Live! Cam Voice Review
TrustedReviews looked at the Creative Live! Cam Voice

One of the fiddlier things about webcam conversations on most PCs is that you have to set up the webcam and the audio separately. While most notebooks have a microphone built-in, PCs do not, which means you have
to use an often poor desktop stand microphone, or a headset, which can be restrictive, clumsy and messes with your hair.

The Thermalright Ultra 90 is a solid performing air cooler with six heatpipes to keep your CPU temperature down. Its unique design allows you to use your own 92mm fan for fine tuning of heat vs. fan noise. AGP Graphics Card Group Test
TrustedReviews have an AGP Graphics Card Group Test

If you have a fairly decent AGP rig, with say a 3400+ or 3.2GHz Pentium 4, it's a tough situation to be in, as upgrading will likely involve throwing away most of the components in your system. DDR has moved to DDR2, AGP has moved to PCI Express and most of the CPU sockets have changed too. If you have a Socket 939 AGP system, it's not quite as bad, as you can buy a newer nForce4 board for under £60, but this is a fairly rare situation to be in.

Another Quickie: ReactOS
OSNews posted another review on ReactOS

I downloaded a few VMware images for use in VMware player. The mouse (a PS/2 type) did not work either in ReactOS or in Syllable, but did work in PC-BSD (all in VMware Player). Later, I downloaded the install-cd iso of ReactOS and burned it to a CD. The image is a tiny download (19MB uncompressed), so it didn't take long. I intended to install ReactOS on a laptop and desktop. Read more on this exclusive OSNews article...

Coolmax SATA Combo HDD Enclosure Review
BCC Hardware posted a review on the Coolmax SATA Combo HDD Enclosure

Ever hear that ticking sound emanating from your case? What's the first thing that comes to mind? No, it's not your wife / girlfriend tapping their fingernails on your case trying to tell you to get off the computer and do some housework. It's the sound of a hard drive crashing! Once you start hearing this noise typically time is not on your side. I rushed out to purchase the next biggest drive size (300GB) to attempt a backup up my WD250. Oddly enough, after transferring both drives to a spare system to perform the backup, the ticking stopped and the drive backed up and operated flawlessly. After some quick diagnostics in my main system, I saw my 12 volt rail dropping to about 10.5 volts. After hooking the 'failing' drive back up to my main system and replacing the PSU everything was great! Now what do I do with a spare 300GB drive?

Foxconn C51XEM2AA-8EKRS2H Motherboard Review
Bjorn3D posted a review on the Foxconn C51XEM2AA-8EKRS2H Motherboard

When AMD released their new AM2 CPU’s NVIDIA was quick out from the starting block with their nForce5 chipset. Among the first motherboards, in fact probably the very first, was Foxconn with their imaginary named C51XEM2AA-8EKRS2H. They were probably first since the motherboard also was the reference motherboard from NVIDIA. As the chosen motherboard to display all the might and glory of the nForce5 chipset, the C51XEM2AA-8EKRS2H is a motherboard filled with features and also one of the few fully supporting the nTune-software from NVIDIA.

Having a handy, little USB 2.0 hub on your desktop can be a useful piece of hardware to interface your digital camera, digital camcorder, cell phone, and even a PDA with your PC. These hubs are very simple devices, but VIZO went to outer space and back when they developed the UFO 4-port USB 2.0 Hub. Its circular shape makes connecting new devices easy and reduces cable clutter. Let’s take it out for a test drive and see what skid marks we can leave on the pavement.

CaseBuy EZ Power Supply Tester III Review
APH Network posted a review on the CaseBuy EZ Power Supply Tester III

CaseBuy has been around for quite a while now. With their early releases of CaseBuy's well-known EZ Power Supply Tester series, editors from various websites criticized it for its lack of actual voltage indication and/or inaccurate results in tests. Taking these suggestions from both the media and consumer, CaseBuy recently released version three of their EZ Power Supply Tester. Although I have not officially reviewed its predecessors, I can tell that a lot of thought has been put into this new product. Let see what changes are made into its looks and features that makes this product an improvement over previous versions in our review today.

Verbatim Store'n'Go 4GB USB HDD makes apps portable
OCModShop posted an article on the Verbatim Store'n'Go 4GB USB HDD

It's hard to imaging a portable device today without some sort of flash memory. They are ubiquitous among technology consumers, and enthusiasts use them to transport files between home and work. Now "portable apps" are starting to emerge, whereas you can run an all-inclusive program from a flash device on any PC. All the configuration is kept on the portable device: no InstallShield, no registry, no "DLL hell".

Verbatim has released their Store'n'Go Hard Drive which aspires to be more than a traditional portable drive. This device allows you to run applications directly, without installing on the host machine. The top panel of the case has a couple of perforated areas to help aid in
cooling, by allowing fresh air to enter the case. The rectangular portion is
in the video card vicinity, while the octagonal one is in the CPU area. The
underside of the case has the usual gold plated audio style feet with foam
sliders. We can also see the perforated section along the front that allows
air to enter the case for the front mounted 80mm fan to aid in cooling.
