Abit's new Core2Duo MAX board
Bit-Tech posted a quick look on one of the first Abit AW9D-MAX motherboards

i'm excited at the prospect of Abit re-uniting itself with the overclocking crowd. It's been a long time since Abit was a household name among overclockers, and the AW9D-MAX is a board that could go a long way to help re-establish the Abit brand at the top. The AW9D-MAX has all of the bases to establish itself as one of the best 975X motherboards out there and it just needs a little time to iron out the issues that we've come across during our short time with the board. Once the issues are ironed out, I can see this board setting some records...

Gentoo Linux 2006.1 Review
Software in Review posted a review on Gentoo Linux 2006.1

In one respect, Gentoo Linux 2006.1 is the same as it's always been, except with newer software on the installation media. Beginning with version 2006.0, though, a graphical environment was added to the live CD along with an installation program that rarely worked properly. The good news is, the installer works reasonably well in Gentoo 2006.1; the bad news is, it's still quicker and easier to install by hand via the command line.

Antec Fusion Media Center Case Review
ThinkComputers.org posted a review on the Antec Fusion Media Center Case

As I have said many times Antec is one of the best case manufacturers out there. Every case of theirs that I have had the chance to look at I've been impressed with. That is why when I first heard of the Fusion case I was extremely excited. For those of you who don't know the Fusion case is Antec's newest member into their LifeStyle family of enclosures. This is not Antec's first media center case, but it's the best looking one so far. All of the features and the one of a kind design of the case make it one of the best media center cases out there. Read on to check it out...

Dell Latitude D420 - HSDPA Notebook Review
TrustedReviews looked at the Dell Latitude D420 - HSDPA Notebook

Back in May I reviewed the Dell Latitude D620 and was very impressed. With the D620 Dell had produced a well built and feature rich business notebook with an attractive design and good ergonomics. I was therefore keen to take a look at the Latitude D420, which represents Dell's latest ultra-portable business offering.

MSI NX7300GS-TD256E GeForce 7300 GS 256MiB Review
HEXUS has posted a review on the MSI NX7300GS-TD256E GeForce 7300 GS 256MiB

Key for system integrators be able to put together budget systems that can still provide the fully-fledged interfaces of the likes of Vista, without having to fork out for a high-end card. That's quite possible with the help of today's generation of budget cards, like MSI's NX7300GS-TD256E, which we're reviewing here today.

ThermalRight Ultra-120 Heatsink Review
3D Game Man posted a review on the ThermalRight Ultra-120 Heatsink

ThermalRight has always been partial on my heart. Ever since the days of my (still in use) AX-7, ThermalRight has impressed with its innovative products. Today we are looking at the all new Ultra-120, all aluminum, CPU heatsink. Just the name alone, Ultra-120, gives you a heads up that this will be one Godzilla-ish cooler. The size is only the first half. The performance put out by this unit is just as impressive!

ATI X1950XTX Review
Neoseeker has published a review of the ATI X1950XTX video card

While a new cooler may not in itself be enough to herald a new SKU, the addition of newer memory running at significantly faster speeds evidently is. The X1950 XTX uses 512 MB of brand new GDDR4 memory and is the first graphics card yet to ship with this new memory. The focus of GDDR4 is increased bandwidth (at the expense of latency however) and lower power consumption and has been tested running at speeds up to 3.2 GHz DDR. Being the first product to market with the new technology, ATI have not pushed the envelope that far but still manage a whopping 2.0 GHz representing the fastest memory clocks of any shipping graphics card yet.

Asus P5NSLI: nForce 570 SLI Intel Edition Review
HotHardware.com where they evaluate the features and performance of Asus' affordable P5NSLI motherboard

We recently received one of Asus' new P5NSLI motherboards that's built around the NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI chipset. The Asus P5NSLI is a mid-range Core 2 Duo compatible and SLI capable motherboard targeted at mainstream users on a budget. While it may not have all off the bells and whistles of some higher-end products, the P5NSLI does have a relatively complete feature set that is likely to fit the needs of all but the most demanding power users.

CrystalFontz 635 USB ( DB635AL-TMF-KU3) 5.25 LCD Review
XtremeComputing published a review on the CrystalFontz 635 USB ( DB635AL-TMF-KU3) 5.25 LCD

CFA's DB635AL-TMF-KU3 is not what I could call perfect (although I want to). The grumble I have is that I would like to see more software support. For example, I would like the buttons to control the fans if set to manual, and some way of setting up the keys to do other tasks using software rather than the config files. Don't get me wrong-configuring the screens is not hard, but it does take out those of you that have not got the time or patience for this

Acer 19" LCD + ATI AIW VE Video Card Review
R&B Mods checked out the Acer 19" LCD + ATI AIW VE Video Card

Sometimes it’s more important to choose a high-quality product that suits your needs rather than choosing the fanciest, more expensive one. Today, we will be testing that theory when we examine a couple of products that Geeks.com sent us: an Acer 19” widescreen LCD and an ATI All-in-wonder VE video card. While these two items don’t offer some of the features that the latest or more expensive models provide, will they prove to be a good value? Let’s see.

ASUS P5NSLI Motherboard Review
Bjorn3D posted a review on the ASUS P5NSLI Motherboard

Currently there are several options to the consumer to choose from each based on either the Intel 975 chipset, the Intel 965 chipset, and most recently the NVIDIA 570 chipset. In the not to distant future we should see the NVIDIA 590 and ATI RD600 chipsets also become serious players in the quest for this elusive dream. One thing is definitely for sure, the manufacturer that gets it right will definitely have a gold mine in their back pockets. Hype, as it always is, will certainly be both the mitigating and driving factor.
