Built by Lian Li, the company with a reputation for legendary quality cases, the Tagan A+ Black Pearl looks like a winner on paper. But how does it accomplish its task in real life? Today we are looking at the Stix 200 motion sensitive 2D video game controller. The Stix 200 promises to bring Wii-like controls to the PC.

The Stix 200 controller itself looks very much like the Wii Remote. It has the same white color and "D" shape design with a trigger on the bottom of the controller, two buttons on top, and a circle with four other buttons on it that is like a "D" pad on a normal gaming controller. The buttons are backlit with a green light and are touch sensitive so there are no real buttons to press other than the trigger underneath. All of the buttons are fully programmable.

OCC has published a new review on the PowerColor HD4870 PCS+

When it comes to the PowerColor HD4870 video card, the main thing that comes to mind were the amazing scores the card was able to produce in the 3DMark06 benchmark. The stock overclocked scores were amazing but when the card was overclocked further, wow! The price for this amazing piece of computer hardware is just about perfect, I was very surprised to see that the card only cost around $290 USD, and when you compare that to the price of the other HD4870s out on the market, they come very close but when you get into the prices of some of the nVidia cards, you are going to be expected to pay quite a bit more for less performance. The simple fact that I was able to get the core of the card up past 850MHz was another added bonus, I was expecting to only get an extra 25-30MHz, not 60MHz, on the core and 200MHz on the memory! The cooling solution that PowerColor has added to its HD4870 was able to keep the card quite cool; during full load the card was only reaching 55C, which is lower than some of the HD4850s that were clocked lower than this!

I loved Zalman's HD160XT when I got a chance to look at it in early 2007. It was hard for me to imagine that they could improve on it very much. Well, they found a way. Actually a couple of ways. I like the reorganized front panel for the improved access to the control buttons and I/O features. I also think that the change to the iMON software is an improvement, not only for its functionality, but also for the future support and updates that will be available from SoundGraph. Losing fan control and temperature monitoring is a bit of a disappointment, but the fans in the HD160XT Plus are very quiet (at 5V) anyway, and looking back, I don't think I used the temp monitor that much either.
