XFX GeForce 8600 GT Fatal1ty video card review
Elite Bastards posted a review of XFX's GeForce 8600 GT Fatal1ty video card

We've already given away the major assets of the GeForce 8600 GT Fatal1ty in our introduction, so you probably won't be too surprised by what you see below - A passively cooled board, with a core clock speed of 620MHz (80MHz above reference speed) which also gives a shader core clock of 1355MHz, while the 256MB of memory on-board is clocked some 150MHz faster, at 850MHz.

XFX's passive cooler is a pretty luscious looking affair, far more stylish and sleek than either of ASUS' recent passively cooled GeForce 8600 offerings. At the front of the board is a largish heatsink which covers both the GPU core and memory - This is attached via two heatpipes to the larger heatsink which hovers above both the top and rear of the board to dissipate that heat. Aside from the cooler, the PCB is as you'd expect from a GeForce 8600 GT, with no external power requirement and SLI support in the usual fashion.

Nearly a year on from the release of the 8800GTX, the 8 series cards from nVidia are still dominating the top end of the graphical performance market. The top of this range with most companies is the "Ultra", a higher clocked GTX. Having reviewed one of these in the past, I was interested to see what Gainward's offering for this card would be like.

Logitech G9 Gaming Laser Mouse Review
OCC has published a new review of the Logitech G9 Gaming Laser Mouse

The mouse is painted black with a scroll wheel that is partly silver. With the current faceplate, the Logitech logo is in red and the G9 logo is in silver. Right off of the bat you'll notice the dpi increase/decrease buttons and the LED screen. The scroll wheel also has a horizontal scrolling capability, which is a plus. This faceplate's surface is very slick and smooth. The back of the mouse has three large surfaces for smooth gliding on the mouse pad. One of those surfaces is connected to the faceplate that is currently on. The "MicroGear" button is how you enable the frictionless scrolling capability, which is something I absolutely love. When it's not enabled, the scroll wheel acts like a normal scroll. If you click the "Profile" button you can easily change between the profiles stored on the onboard memory.

Intel X6800 Core 2 Extreme Dual Core Processor Review
Tweaknews.net posted a review on the Intel X6800 Core 2 Extreme Dual Core Processor

But where does this processor really fit in? Is it worth the ~US$1000 current pricetag or is there something that is faster from Intel that can be purchased for the same money? Well, for one thing, you won't need a new motherboard if you stick to the 1066Mhz FSB, but with the quad-core line dropping in price, will this processor be deemed the black sheep of Intel's higher end processor lineup?
