Steelseries Sensei Gaming Mouse Review
XSReviews has a new review on the Steelseries Sensei gaming mouse

It's amazing to think that we once all gamed with a rollerball mouse. Then most of us transitioned through optical, eventually ending up utilising either infrared or laser based rodents. Today I'm looking at one of the latter, a new gaming peipheral from Steelseries, the Sensei.

It sits at the high end of the gaming mouse price range, but it does have an impressive feature set. Pitting itself against the most expensive rodents out there, can the Sensei dig out its own niche, or will it be another overpriced peripheral? With a claimed CPI (DPI) of up to 11,400, it's certainly got my attention. Let's find out if it's up to scratch.

Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24-inch LCD Monitor Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24-inch LCD Monitor

Front on, the new U2412M shares a similar layout to the other U series monitors we've seen over the last 12 months in the sense that it's quite a square design for the most part. What differs, though, is the corners are all rounded and the overall bezel seems just a few mm thinner. Like most Dell monitors, some would argue it's boring, while others will say it's simplistic which is pleasant.

The main differences between the $479 US U2410 and $329 US U2412M, though, are as you'd expect, in the panel itself. The really good news is that Dell have stuck to the 16:10 1920 x 1200 resolution and avoided making the jump to the 1920 x 1080 16:9 resolution. This is no doubt a big positive for a lot of people who indeed enjoy the higher 16:10 resolution.

Dead Island Game Review (PC) Review
HardwareHeaven.com posted a review on Dead Island for the PC

At its core Dead Island is a mixture of hack and slash gameplay mixed with a number of RPG-ish elements. We play as one of four selectable characters who each have their own back story but essentially we wake up on a holiday island with the place in chaos. Our hotel is trashed, blood and bodies are everywhere, zombies roam free and we have to fight for survival from the start.

Cooler Master NotePal U Stand Notebook Cooler Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Cooler Master NotePal U Stand Notebook Cooler

Most of the laptop coolers aren't very efficient at cooling my particular Lenovo that I use to test with, but they do in fact keep the top of your lap cool by removing the whole notebook from direct contact. When I think notebook cooling, I feel the notebook is what needs to be cooled primarily and not necessarily do I need it to cool my legs. For my usage of many of the coolers I have tested, they sit on my desk. While lights and flashy finishes are all nice and have their market, I find myself gravitating towards the aluminum solutions that come with either one large fan, or a pair of smaller fans attached in some manner.

The cooler we are about to look at today, the NotePal U Stand from Cooler Master takes on what I expect from a cooler of this nature, and takes it a couple steps further. What we are about to see offers plenty of additional USB connectivity, offers an adjustable support system and has positional cooling with the use of a pair of 100mm fans included in the kit.

ioSafe Rugged Portable External Hard Drive Review
TweakTown posted a review on the ioSafe Rugged Portable External Hard Drive

What is there to say about a storage product that I personally shot with a shotgun and watched it come to life as soon as it was plugged into a USB port? Amazing, incredible, unreal, wicked…I really just don't know where to begin. You see, my job is to look at a product and find faults. The companies that send these products hate that I do things in reverse, but take great pleasure in having an honest opinion on their products (when the results are favorable).

The ioSafe Rugged Portable is heavy. This damn thing weighs as much as a brick; OK maybe as much as half a brick. That's it - it weighs as much as half a brick. After spending the last three months toting a 750GB Rugged Portable around in a backpack and using it exclusively as my personal portable storage device, that is the best I can come up with.

Thermaltake Frio OCK & Jing CPU Coolers Review
Techgage posted a look at Thermaltake's Frio OCK and Jing CPU coolers.

All CPU coolers promise effective CPU cooling, but how each one manages their goal can vary wildly. One may be super-quiet but be the size of a car, while another may be modest-sized but sound like a jet engine. The Frio OCK and Jing from Thermaltake aren't so extreme, but make a perfect case for noise vs. size vs. cooling performance.

TechSmith's Camtasia Studio 7.1 Review
BWC published a review of TechSmith’s Camtasia Studio 7.1

Camtasia Studio 7.1’s pricing may deter small businesses, and those looking to create comprehensive eLearning videos will be much better served by the rich interactivity of Adobe’s Captivate 5.5 (£635 ex. VAT), but Camtasia Studio 7.1 is a superb product for turning screen recordings into polished videos that train, teach, sell or simply entertain. Users shouldn’t be put off by the professional look of the end product—the software is as easy to use as Apple’s GarageBand.

Bigfoot Networks Killer 1102 Wireless-N Network Card Comparison Review
