I have been using onboard audio since an nVidia nForce 2 motherboard had issues with a Creative Labs Live! sound card some years ago. My biggest audio use has just been for playback of MP3 and games, but when I built my home theater system I thought of getting a dedicated sound card and just couldn't justify it as the sound was adequate. The Auzentech X-Plosion has changed that position, as I can clearly hear the difference between the onboard sound and the X-Plosion.

The inside of the MP-400 is neatly packaged. The lightly finned aluminum sinks are small and donÂ’t dominate the inside of the power supply. Wiring is equally un-intrusive, allowing the fan to push quiet air across the whole surface of the PCB with little to no impedance. A quick look at the 140mm fan tells us the manufacturer is Yateloon Electronics. This .7A fan is rated to push 47 CFM at less than 25 dBA.

The R&D put in to develop DHX and the tweaked PCB seems to have paid off, as the Dominator TWIN2X2048-8888C4DF memory kit is the fastest currently available. At almost $600 though, this is some expensive stuff. We suppose if money is no object, overclockers can't do much better than the Dominator TWIN2X2048-8888C4DF kit, but we know many of you are cringing at the idea of spending $600 for 2GB of memory, when slightly lower performing kits are available for half the price.

I received the HD 201 a few days later and put it on. The Sennheiser HD 201 feels pretty comfortable for a headphone of this price class. The HD 201 has closed cans and I can wear them multiple hours without a problem. They feel pretty light on my head and I don't get the feeling that my head is trapped between two clamps.

One of the things that really stands out is the way the side panels open for easy access to the inside of the case. Both the left and right side panels swing down or can be removed. There are some down sides such as the noise and the need for another Molex cable but I think for the price the VC-RG is worth every penny, something that I would have liked to see on the VC-RG are a fan speed controller and maybe some better styling as without the lighting the face looks very bland. Overall if you are looking for a cheap upgrade cooler for your graphics card then the VC-RG could be the cooler that you are looking for. But if you own a high end 7800GTX or such, then I would go for something with a bit more oomph, as the effects on a higher end card that you would see would only be cosmetic.
