Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB DDR3 Review
Techradar published a review on Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB DDR3 memory

Memory modules and CPU coolers don't always get along. Sometimes the cooler hangs over the memory slot on your motherboard so you can't fit the memory in the first and third slots, forcing you into the second and fourth; if your motherboard supports that configuration. Sometimes the cooler and the RAM modules are so gigantic they barely fit together in a system in any configuration. The chief culprit is usually an indulgently large heat spreader atop each stick of RAM. Corsair's Vengeance series is as guilty as any on this charge, so this LP model aims to right a wrong. These low-profile modules will give you no such grief.

Thermaltake Dr.Power II Universal Digital PSU Tester Review
TweakTown posted Thermaltake Dr.Power II Universal Digital PSU Tester Review

When I first saw the press release for the Dr.Power II, I thought that it gave the ability to get the power draw off certain lines. Well, let's just say it doesn't do that. Instead, the Dr.Power II is a power supply 'tester'. Of course, the sample came and as always, it's my job to cover it, so let's find out just how the Dr.Power II is when it comes to doing the task it has indeed been designed for. Looking at the Dr.Power II, it's a pretty simple looking device. The front has a screen that gives us the important information in regards to your power supply.

Those numbers include 5v, 3,3v, +12v, -12v and +5vsb and you can see below the information and the numbers you're looking for. For example, you can see that the Dr.Power II is capable of measuring the +12v between 11v and 13v. You can see the Intel Standard is between 11.4v and 12.6v. Before we get around to looking all over the Dr.Power II, I thought we'd plug in our Corsair AX1200 to see just what kind of numbers showed up. To be honest, I'm the biggest fanboy when it comes to the Corsair line of power supplies; I only use AX1200s and consider them to be one of the best PSUs on the market.[/quote6

Crucial M4 SSD Firmware Update (0009) Boosts Performance
Legit Reviews updated their results for the Crucial M4 SSD

When we first tested the M4 drive, we found the performance to be decent but it lacked some of the performance of the similarly equipped Intel 510 Series drive. Crucial has released a new firmware update that claims to make significant performance enhancements. Exactly how much improvement will it elicit? Have a look at our test to see the performance now versus then.

The sequential read scores on the ATTO benchmark using compressible data increased over 18%. Just as impressively, the incompressible data scores on CrystalDiskMark increased up to 30% which is a massive increase. Even our real world tests showed a positive result from the new firmware. Honestly, we see no reason not to go ahead and apply the update immediately. We all know there can be some risk with firmware updates, as the saying goes - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. However, there's been enough time since it was released and there don't appear to be any reported issues so as long as you back up your data you should be fine...

Blue Microphones Yeti Pro Review
Business Computing World published a review of Blue Microphones' Yeti Pro USB microphone

The depth and tone isn't quite as good as some single-use broadcast mics, and the 24-bit audio recording and choice of four pattern settings is overkill for most podcasters and YouTubers (most users won't ever switch from cardoid), but those serious about recording at the highest quality can't do much better than the Yeti Pro. With an arsenal of features and flexibility not seen before in any USB microphone, the Yeti Pro is fantastic. For users not needing the analogue XLR connectivity and super-sensitive recording resolutions, the original Yeti will more than suffice.

Corsair Hydro Series H100 Review
OCC has published a review on the Corsair Hydro Series H100

The radiator is the same size a standard 240mm form factor and is constructed from aluminum instead of copper. Why aluminum? It sheds heat faster than copper and is lighter to boot. That brings up some concerns about galvanic corrosion between the aluminum radiator and copper coldplate, but Corsair and its partner CoolIT use a proprietary coolant mixture that prohibits algae growth and inhibits corrosion. If it is still a concern, the five year warranty on the H100 should pretty much close that gap. In five years it will be upgrade time with new hardware and new cooling designs anyhow.

Around the same time as the Raven 3 was debuted, Silverstone also debuted the Fortress 3. The Fortress 3 follows a very similar concept just for micro ATX motherboards.

Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim Notebook Cooler Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim Notebook Cooler

We just got done looking at a notebook cooling solution with the NotePal U Stand. This is quite the laptop cooler; it offers all sorts of bells and whistles like extra USB ports and even a fully adjustable top to give you five angles to be able to use your laptop of choice. It's aluminum has great fans. I could go on for a while about this one, but I need to return to the task at hand and change gears into a more simple train of thought for the latest submission to our labs.

We have another notebook cooling solution here with us today, or I wouldn't have mentioned the U Stand. This time instead of going all out with options, Cooler Master has moved back to the K.I.S.S. principle of making a product. It isn't going to wow you with LEDs, it doesn't look amazing even though it is more attractive than a lot of those I have tested to date, and you aren't getting fan control. What you will get here is a more no frills approach to cooling a laptop. I hate to judge things without testing them, but to be honest, this new arrival doesn't look like it has what it takes to cool my heat box, I mean Lenovo laptop, but we shall see.
